What wide receivers do we have left to start??

Other than Landry, I do not know.

I don't even count Galloway as a WR.

One guy is on our team and the other has been retired since 2010.

Landry, Callaway, Duke and Ratley. A serviceable Group on a good day.

In that case, may every game day be a good day.

So literal. Like you can take anything SuperBrown writes with less than a grain. Surprised you didn't correct his spelling in the thread title.

It's actually Callaway. (But close enough.)

P.S. I thought he'd be much better than he has been so far. Catch the ball!
Posted By: Dawgs4Life Re: Escuse me, but... - 10/20/18 08:14 AM
I think we should call the position group something other than "receivers" until they start catching
Posted By: Ballpeen Re: Escuse me, but... - 10/20/18 11:37 AM
Catching the ball is over rated...lol

Higgins is sorely missed. He is not great but he is really good.

And let Coleman go to
And placed R. Louis on Ir.
And watched Higgans get hurt
And thought Streater or Ratley would be worth anything
And told Kasen Wiliams to jump in a lake
and said Jordan Payton was done
and didn't like Dez Bryant enough to sign
and didn't sign Rishard Mathews
and turned that ex packer into a non factor in one spring
and couldn't find any future with Terrelle Pryor, or Kenny Britt, or Sammie Coates,
and lost Willies to injury which looked much better than you'd think he is
and wasted what they did with that mid season signing last year with a v in his name that had a lot of playing time and very few catches.
( But They Signed Breshard Perriman) thumbsup

^ That's just WR.
If every other team in the NFL turned it's roster over as much as the Browns,
Oh they don't!
I wonder what they know that the Browns don't.

He's not a 5 year veteran, and he nev will be because the Browns will nev keep him,
It goes to where I think it's frustrating when I don't think people recognize good players vs players who aren't.

lot's of people, and you look at hall of (maybe not) but good players had suspect rookie years. TO, look at terelle owens rookie year, all I remember is he dropped a lot, I think the drops followed him his whole career, but he wasn't famous for them.
Keyshawn Johnson,
lot's of guys if you just take their rookie years, weren't special.

Calloway has been starting for several games.
He will come along I thought he picked it up a little the 2nd half last week his effort is there.

We got Ratley, Duke and now Perriman as our WR.
But Njoku actually is morphing into our Top WR and a favorite of Baker's he seems to rely on Njoku a lot and he is the one consistently open. Would like him more in deeper routes and let Devalve become involved from the H-back position and getting the dump offs. Want Duke and Njoku running routes!

jmho we'll be ok as long as these guys collectively start CATCHING THE DANG BALL...lol laugh Its one game guys. Although dropping has been all season. Thought it would stop with perfectly placed balls by Mayfield but it still continued...smh

Now we got rid of Hyde to me that upsets the apple cart although Duke and Chubb had much better YPA than Hyde but Hyde was the workhorse and blocked well.

It was one of the things I noticed today.. the difference in catch radius between the Bucs WRs and ours.. the ability to go up and get the high balls...

Evans 6'5"
Howard 6'6"

and

Landry 5'11"
Calloway 5'11"

At least Ratley and Higgins are up in the 6'1"-6-2" range...

We need a big WR desperately.
Posted By: cfrs15 Re: Escuse me, but... - 10/22/18 02:54 AM
Howard is a tight end. Njoku is ridiculous when it comes to this and he has played much better lately.
Posted By: Milk Man Re: Escuse me, but... - 10/22/18 03:02 AM
j/c....

Is "Calloway" the new "Hayden"?
Posted By: Dawgs4Life Re: Escuse me, but... - 10/22/18 08:04 AM
No doubt about it ... we try to throw fades and throw vertical with Landry, and that simply is tougher to do than it is for Jameis and Evans

I thought that Scott was no active.. Yup,, just checked, he was listed as inactive. Along with Stanton, Gaines, Schobert, Higgins and DL Carl Davis.

Agreed. I’m tired of trotting out a bunch of runts. I don’t care how fast you are. How quick. Etc. All the things we heard about guys like Coleman, Louis, etc. Being that size they struggled getting off jams and showed no physicality for 50/50 balls. No fight. No strength. Guys like ABrown and Steve Smith are the exception, not the rule.
In my mind taking a receiver under 6’2” in the first round is ridiculous. Give me big targets. Big hands. Big catch radiuses. Guys that can out physical DBs.You can’t coach size.
The Texas Longhorns have two draft eligible WR. Humphrey is 6’4” 225. Johnson is 6’5” 220. Both are expected to run in the low 4.5’s. These are my targets if I’m a GM. Assuming they declare.
Enough ‘midget’ ball.

We WERE supposed to have Gordon this year...

WR jumped to near, if not the top of the list in terms of needs. We're not in a place to drop major capital on a WR in-season. Also not in the right place to handle another problem-child.
Posted By: Bard Dawg Re: Escuse me, but... - 10/23/18 03:35 PM
I was impressed with Njoku Sunday, in a very good way for the first time. He must be ridiculous to match up against. We did little to challenge their wideouts. Mostly clean catches. We desperately need somebody to move chains.

Where is he again? Cut from two teams after we cut him. Great move to let him go IMO.

Quote:
And placed R. Louis on Ir.
Are you trying to blame an injury on the FO?

Quote:
And watched Higgans get hurt
Yep, Dorsey should have ran on the field and protected him from the hit...smh

Quote:
And thought Streater or Ratley would be worth anything
We didn't think they were worth anything, they were signed and playing because - well the games don't stop if you all your players get hurt. Tell me what should they have done?

Quote:
And told Kasen Wiliams to jump in a lake
Another unsigned FA - who couldn't make the Colts roster. I don't think he was as good as you think.

Quote:
and said Jordan Payton was done
Another unsigned FA. I wonder why he hasnt signed anywhere if he WASNT done?

Quote:
and didn't like Dez Bryant enough to sign
According to DEZ BRYANT, the browns offered him a contract - do you think Dorsey is allowed to force him to sign it at gun point? SMH - there are also 31 other teams that have not signed him.

Quote:
and didn't sign Rishard Mathews
Who has, he has tried out for several teams, none of which has signed him.

Quote:
and couldn't find any future with Terrelle Pryor, or Kenny Britt, or Sammie Coates,
Neitehr has ANY OTHER TEAM! TP was just released btw

Quote:
and lost Willies to injury which looked much better than you'd think he is
Not their fault. And actually, you are giving them credit here without even knowing it - hes better than anyone thought, so that means he was a good pick up smh.

Quote:
If every other team in the NFL turned it's roster over as much as the Browns,
Oh they don't!
ummm its not turnover if the guys were never here that you pointed out lol

Also - we are second in the league in the amount of turnover from last year. So you are just completely wrong and false, again.
