Ariens is in the hospital and won't be at the game today per the NFL Network.
Posted By: RocketOptimist Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 05:56 PM
A bit gross how they are idolizing Ray Lewis on the CBS broadcast...

Sweet, get to listen to my favorite NFL broadcast team for this game!
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:11 PM
this luck guy stinks. what the heck balls being knocked down at the line?

Had to do it.
Posted By: jaybird Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:18 PM
Thankfully I haven't heard much of it yet - would love this to be his last NFL game... to lose at home in the playoffs would be poetic...
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:20 PM
How was that indys ball? Refs betting on Indy today?

That's what I'm wondering. Not even a review.

Can someone tell me how an official misses that facemask right in front of him?
Posted By: RocketOptimist Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:25 PM
I'd argue its a makeup call for the fumble.

Luck is a man among boys out there. This is ridiculous.
Posted By: MrDNA Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:26 PM
Indy is really fun to watch on O.
Posted By: Adam_P Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:30 PM
Luck fumbles to make up for the Baltimore DB dropping the easy pick a few plays ago.
Posted By: MrDNA Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:33 PM
Wow, very high tempo game on D for both teams. Very exciting to watch as a (relatively) neutral fan.
Posted By: Adam_P Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:41 PM
Yeah, looks so far like both Ds came to play but neither QB did.
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:54 PM
Lewis drops a sure pick. No matter they stopped them on 3rd down.
Posted By: captainphil Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 06:56 PM
Funny how OJ was found innocent but is a punchline and Ray was convicted and is idolized.

Funnier still how after Ray was Super Bowl MVP Disney used someone else for their "I'm going to Disney world commercial" but he now works for Disney.

What a world this is.
Posted By: ThatGuy Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 07:09 PM
CBS showing some Ray Lewis highlights.

The first 3 were of him being the second guy in on to make a tackle. And then one of him dropping an easy TD.

Good thing he's back.

Well being 2nd in on a tackle isnt a bad thing its whiffing on the tackle by trying to hit him with a shoulder block that drives me nuts with some of the players on our team and other teams as well.

Wrap up and Tackle.
Posted By: jaybird Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 07:24 PM
you forgot he got to hug Goodell as well
Posted By: MrDNA Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 07:31 PM
Vinateri is still money. He deserves another ring.
Posted By: YTownBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 07:35 PM
That was a huge play from Luck to Hilton for 25 yards.

Clutch play to get a FG before the half.
Posted By: jaybird Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 07:53 PM
Flacco is having to run around a lot today!

Pretty good game so far!

As much as I dislike the ravens, the Colts knocking them out of the playoffs in Baltimore doesn't feel right to me.

My honest opinion, I've watched some footage of Colts games this year and it's looked like (only to me) that the refs were secretly wearing blue and white stripes, giving the Colts calls they had no business getting. I respect the Colts but that's how I feel.

I don't care who wins this game, though. Neither the Colts nor the Rats will get by Peyton Manning in Denver next week.

Rats out to a 17-6 lead in the 2013 Relocation Bowl.

Relocation Bowl. Classic.

because Weeden can't run
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:26 PM
wow all the turnovers is crazy.
Posted By: Fox&Hound7 Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:28 PM
Ratbirds are looking slow on defense...

Tape some cheetahs to their backs?
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:32 PM
who needs clutch kickers like dawson kickers are a dime a dozen.
Posted By: ThatGuy Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:32 PM
So the whole "12 man on defense" thing I was talking about just happened in the colts/ravens game.
Posted By: Psydeffect Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:40 PM
It just didn't seem possible that the Ravens would lose Ray Lewis's last home game.
Posted By: jaybird Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:41 PM
crap... now i have to cheer for the Rats next week....
Posted By: Fox&Hound7 Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:42 PM
Kinda glad the Colts are finally done this season. I was getting tired of the hype surrounding Andrew Luck. Oh well. The Rats will turn around and get stomped by the Donks next week.
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:45 PM
that was 1 heck of a catch. Still cant believe he kept that ball secure while dragging the colt player down with him. I hope Gordon is watching.

If Pats and Donks both lose I get to go to the AFC champ game here in Houston... don't think it'll happen but I can dream

The Colts are one of the best stories of the year and Luck is a huge part of it. I'd say Luck has more than lived up to the hype he received coming out of school.
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:47 PM
what happened to the defender being able to get back?

Exactly. After a while you just want to tone it down a bit. I know Luck is good but sometimes analysts make him out to be the perfect Rookie QB. Great story, yes. Now let the storybook end for this year.

well... he basically was...

you can argue that maybe RG3 was a better rookie but I don't know of too many all-time that have played as well as he has.... not electing him to the HOF or anything, but if this kid stays healthy he's gonna be a hell of a payer.
Posted By: Pepper52 Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 08:59 PM
J/C..Ballgame!! Go Donks Oh and Seahawks
Posted By: NickBrownsFan Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 09:00 PM
that should about do it. Nice run Indy you have a great QB no denying that, darn it.
Posted By: Pepper52 Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 09:06 PM

He wasn't the perfect Rookie QB this year. Flashes of greatness? Yes. No doubt. But for people to just gloss over all the INT's he threw doesn't help. Indy has a bright future with Luck. My beef is just with the talking heads. Not Luck himself.

At least we won't have to see Ray Lewis' "I gotta go pee" dance anymore after this year.
Posted By: candyman92 Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/06/13 09:18 PM
That was awesome they did that for Ray

No offense but just what do you think a perfect ROOKIE QB would look like? Darn people around here have some high expectations for rookies.

It's pretty sickening listening to all the CBS announcers talk about what a great human being Ray Lewis is.

Terrible human being but I respect his greatness as an athlete.

One of the best to ever play the game.

And, for me at least, the epitome of the "thank God there's football or this guy would be serving 25 to life."

Also thank God he makes good money to pay child support for his, what, 6 kids by 4 different women?
Posted By: Adam_P Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/07/13 05:36 AM
jc...

It occurred to me after the Ravens-Colts game that neither losing AFC team scored an offensive touchdown.

He also had an 54% completion rate, not all that good. His big things were a couple game winning drives.
Posted By: DCDAWGFAN Re: Colts-Ravens - 01/09/13 02:29 PM
Well that and he took a 2 win team to the playoffs. As a rookie the stats aren't everything, the guy just seems to get it done when it matters.. and there is something to be said for that.
