Wow I expected a close game but this is looking bad for seattle real bad.

@ RG3
Posted By: MrDNA Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 10:11 PM
I just keep telling myself that RGIII would not have looked nearly as good in a Shurmur lead offense...
Posted By: Adam_P Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 10:12 PM
Seattle's defense looks awful.

Skins receivers sure do like spiking balls and getting in opponents faces after making a catch.

Griffin took his helmet off on the field with the clock running. Should've been a 15 yard penalty. Didn't get called, of course.

I was of the opinion that the cost was too high for him. Now...

Would you rather have, say, RG3 and Morris and no first or second rounders in this draft, or...

Richardson, Weeden, Gordon, Schwartz and a first next year?

That breakdown is off the top of my head, so it may be inaccurate, but it's an interesting question.

But would Kelly have signed the dotted line already if RG3 was here? I think so.

Hindsight is a tough animal and you wouldnt have any recievers plus Shurmur coaching him so I think having to make a choice.........problably would stick with what we have.
A different coach in the mix and Im probably hands down the other direction but Gordon makes that iffy. Darn.....still cant decide.

I agree the worst part is we would have wasted a year of RG3's life under Shurmur.

Hard to argue with that. Although who knows if guys lose their jobs if RG3 is in town. Holmgren and Heckert certainly look better, and maybe Shurmur stays if we have a better record. I don't think RG3 looks as good with us as he does with Shanahan in that offense, but you have to think we do better than 5-11.

While the national media is quick to point out that the Eagles have the "better situation", neither team is set at quarterback. Actually both are pretty far from it. I don't want to hear about Michael Vick, because 1.) He may not even be there next year with that giant cap hit and 2.) he's horrible, isnt the athlete he once was, and is still a giant risk

I'm also reading that while some heat may come on the Oregon program, I don't think it's enough to warrant anything that would really force him to leave. They may get a slap on the wrist. Seems like he doesn't have to leave.

I have a feeling he's going back to college.

Browns have to regroup, and I think start this thing all over again. Go through everything, and bring people back in for interviews if you have to. Im glad they aren't panicking right now and just bringing in the next guy on the list. There is no rush to get this thing done today, tomorrow or the next day.
Posted By: Alpoe19 Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 10:31 PM
Not even close. Take Griffin, and worry about the coach later. We would still have Gordon has he cost us our 2nd this year. But let's be honest, the skins aren't a playoff team without him. We might be if he played for us, even with Pat.

They should take him out of this game however. He looks horrible with his injury.

Man, Pierre Garcon is a complete clown.

Posted By: Adam_P Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 10:52 PM
Wow. Baldwin gives himself up by sliding and Hall dives at him on the ground and hits him shoulder to helmet. No flag.

Skins players really like the extracurriculars it seems.

Seahawks fumbled going into endzone for TD... Redskins have ball and starting to get going on offense.

Lynch fumbled on the 1 yard line Washington recovered
Posted By: brownsfansince79 Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 11:26 PM
Well that sucks for anyone on the Shanahan train, lol. Thanks.

Posted By: ttimothygman Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 11:34 PM
I'm a big Hawks fan today. If they win I think our best option is sitting on the sidelines calling plays for the Redskins and we would then be able to interview him.

Me too..Wow a in the grasp call havent seen one of those in awhile

Seattles D stepping up
Posted By: Adam_P Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 11:49 PM
Shanahan's a fool not to pull RGIII. Watching him limping up the field trying to run is painful.
Posted By: Pepper52 Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 11:51 PM
Yep this is not boding well for RGIIIs health
Posted By: 1oldMutt Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/06/13 11:52 PM
If they win, a week wont make difference in this guys health.
This guy IS your franchise. Use him wisely!

The second half of this game is as boring as the first half was exciting.

TD Seattle..great run by Lynch..Wilson in front blocking
Posted By: MrDNA Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/07/13 12:03 AM

Yeah. I'm starting to warm to Wilson. I don't think his physical tools will ever be elite but his attitude is great.

Put a fork in Robert Griffin III.

You called it, they'll be lucky to have him back next year.

Shanahan is the biggest moron on the face of the earth. What an idiot to play your franchise quarterback under those conditions.

I almost coughed up my dinner.

And against doctors recomendation!
Posted By: DeisleDawg Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/07/13 12:11 AM
The browns would have done the same thing...just like running TR with 2 broken ribs...does your health really matter more than a damn game ?

OK....let's make him stand and walk on it!

Not to the FO

RGIII is a tough sucker, made me cringe!

LOL..Do we have a double secret medical outhouse on our sidelines??
Posted By: ErikInHell Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/07/13 12:15 AM
Their backup, Cousins, played quite well against us. Better him than a gimpy RGIII.

**Edit..or maybe not

Did they have a bon fire at mid field last night!

What a hole!

It's kinda funny that I didn't read comments until the end of the game ....... and the early comments were so down on the Seahawks, (Yes, they have earned their name back) but man, they really came on after getting down early, and controlled this game.

I was definitely wrong about them going on the road in an outdoor stadium. They were impressive.

Yeah I was not feeling to good when seattle was down what was looking like big tijme, I thought the defense would be the difference in this game and it ended up being correct.
Posted By: YTownBrownsFan Re: Hawks-Skins - 01/07/13 12:51 AM
They just summed up my feelings on the TV commentary ......

The Falcons have to be going: "Oh, we get the Seahawks ....... Oh %$#@(^%$# ......."

Should be a pair of really outstanding games in the NFC. Falcons/Seahawks and 49'ers/Green Bay.

Wow. Great pair of games.

In the AFC, we get Ravens/Broncos and Patriots/Texans. Both of these could potentially be runaways.

looked like maybe a MCL pop... dunno... will be interesting to see what he pulled... I personally thought he should have been out of there after the run where he clearly limped to the sidelines... but that's just me. Thought it was dumb to call a run play for him.

That Redskins player came off like a complete ass.

You lost, he's laughing at you. Fail.

While it was sinking down to Sherman's level I enjoyed it.

I just can't stand that guy.
