I work a lot now, so I don't get much time to watch football anymore. However, I just finished watching the Chargers/Steelers game and what a great freakin' game! I LOVE watching the Steelers lose and lose they did. Great ending too - 3 offsides the last 3 plays by the Steelers.
Posted By: Steubenvillian Re: Other Games - 12/06/18 11:09 PM
Would love to see Oakland punk the Steelers in Oakland. Then they have NO and NE back to back.

It never is a stinker when you can play a Single Game contest on FanDuel. Makes the game very interesting. wink

That made me *LOL* ...

I still suck at those .... no signs of improvement ... thats the part i really dont like ...
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 01:07 AM
I personally think the Single Game plays are the easiest to win.
Posted By: Swish Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 01:44 AM
Lol man that was one ugly ass interception by Mariota.

Wide open WR, and he throws it over his head, straight into a defenders hands.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 01:47 AM
Yep.

He's a nice guy and a good athlete. However, he is inaccurate and his reads are questionable.

Cody looks like hes lobbing the ball .... hes the nfl’s version of a slow pitch pitcher, his throws all have an arc to them ... *L* ...

Kessler looking good.

Cody has some moments as a rookie for us though.
Posted By: Swish Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 02:07 AM
But he almost pulled a Mariota with such a horrible throw with a wide open receiver.

He lived up to the hype and over-threw the receiver.

It’s not
Posted By: Rishuz Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 02:17 AM
Because the officiating is at an all time low.

I think it's a serious problem. I know alot of fans that have been turned off by it.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 02:18 AM
Let me rephrase it.

Does anyone know why they rarely call a face mask penalty on RBs?
Posted By: Rishuz Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 02:19 AM
Kessler showing some decent pocket awareness.

j/c:

Man, some of these RBs today!!! I look at guys like Henry and Fournette and I am just amazed.

I was a pretty decent back, but these dudes would dwarf me and are probably just as fast. It's amazing.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 02:49 AM
Btw.......Fox's pregame and halftime shows w/Strahan, Bradshaw, and Howie are both putrid.
Posted By: Rishuz Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 03:02 AM
This officiating is just obscenely bad.

Aikman ignoring every bad call is super annoying.

Kessler will never convert 3rd and long.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 03:04 AM
I want Tennessee to win, but man, what a BS holding call on Flowers. And then Mike P comes on and says the league wants more holding calls. Troy Aikman rightfully compares it to wanting more speeding tickets at certain times of the month and how he doesn't like this. I totally agree. That's BS!
Posted By: Rishuz Re: Other Games - 12/07/18 03:11 AM

ANGLE or FOCUS ...

U prolly know this ... or at least the likeleyhood is greater than most of the rest of the board as you may have had this explained to u before ... although during a game theres not a shot inheck i’m Giving this explanation to a coach ... not a shot in heck .. not even if it was one of my good buds ... *L* ... in that moment .. not the way to go ... u gotta trust me on that one .. *L* ...

Anyhow ... on a lot of tackles there may only be one pair of eyes on the actual tackle ... two frequently and every once in awhile three will have eyes on it ...

The first problem is being “straight lined” is the technical officating term ... *LOL* .... its true ... no idea why i think thats funny .. u can’t see through someone .. and many times the way the play unfolds and when its contact time u may have NO ANGLE and simply can’t see it ...

Obviously the more eyes u have on a play the better shot u have of having a better angle ...

Each official has there own calling area ... like the back judge ... NO ONE is suppose to get behind him ... PERIOD ... so he always responsible for the dudes the furthest down the field on a play .. and u NEVER EVER EVER take your eyes off your calling area unless there’s a play on the sidelines and guys go out of bounds ... that and fights are the only two exceptions ... PERIOD ....

If u MAKE a call outside your calling area your going to take a major ding ... MAJOR .. cause it means u went “out of your area” witch means u didnt have the best look (unless angle dictates u did ... thats not gonna bail u out on that one) AND no one has eyes on your area ... thats not good on any level ... dont miss a call out of your area ... your post season is DONE right them and there ...

2nd is FOCUS ... wish I could explain things as good as u and some others ... this is gonna be way to wordy .. *L* ... sorry bout that ...

Hmmmm ... lets try this ... when u see a flag and the announcer says face mask and doesnt say on who ... your eyes go right to the runners mask ... then u dont see it so u go look at the defenders mask area .... most of the time when that happens I miss it cause it happens so fast ...

Same concept as an official ... when u watch the contact as an official ... its the same concept as a block/charge in hoops ... when the dude starts driving .. a hoops official watches the defenders for their position and picks up the driver as his main focus almost when the collision happens ... he has all re3ady established the defenders legal surging position ....

Sounds easy right ... *LOL* ... not so much ... it’s HARD as HECK ... its why so many are missed ... if u focus on the defender your odds of getting it right increase 50 fold ...

on that play the DEFENDER IS THE KEY ... in football its not that rigid ... but its what happens ...
same concept...

The officials focus on the defender and what he’s doing to the runner not the other way around ... hence why offensive face masks are missed so frequently ...

Thats another call the new rules have nothing to do with .... it has more to do with how your brain works and where your eyes “take u” ...

Sometimes i’m Not very good at explaining things .. i hope this isn’t one of those times .. *L* .. hopefully U can understand it the way i mean it to be understood ....

If u have any questions please ask ...

Hopes that helps .. thanks for asking a question ... maybe for once i wont get ripped for shedding some light on something most on here have zero clue about and have no desire to be educated on ... they’d rather just act like drunken fans who only want someone to scream at as opposed to actually earn something from someone who has been there and done that ...

Not really. I don't remember anyone suggesting Kessler was better than Wentz???

Was fun to watch such a dominant run game last night. I think that's more a reflection on Mariota than anything else - I thought Mariota was going to be so much better than he is when he came out of college.

I don't think I have ever seen an NFL defense with less interest in tackling the ball carrier. Those "professionals" should be embarrassed. National game, and they looked afraid of contact.

The jags defense definitely quit and there’s no excuse for that.

But maybe the front office should’ve did their jobs and got a QB worth a damn. They decided to roll with bortles KNOWING that not one player believed in him.

In my fantasy league Derrick Henry put up 52 points Thursday night. In ESPN leagues he's 57% owned with 15% of those owners starting him. In other words, 42% of ESPN fantasy football owners were punching themselves in the face Friday morning.

Let's hope they don't miss as big as they did on Thursday night.

I like Cody but let's face it, he always had backup written all over him from when he was drafted. I don't know what Hue saw in him.

Yeah, I actually think Kessler will be in the league a long time
Posted By: YTownBrownsFan Re: Other Games - 12/08/18 05:17 PM
Cody is a lot like Colt McCoy. He's a smart kid, he has some ability, (accuracy in the case of Kessler) but his limitations will allow him to progress no further, realistically, than being a good backup.
Posted By: Dawgs4Life Re: Other Games - 12/09/18 10:22 AM
agreed. i wouldn't mind him as our backup to be honest. by all accounts he's smart, a good dude, etc.

I love pulling for our old guys. Players who are good dudes that just didn't work here. But I wouldn't want either McCoy or Kessler as my backup. Job requisite #1 for backup QB...hope you don't start many games but win the games you do start.

Dallas 9-6. Missed extra point by Philly.

Me too. And I wouldn't be surprised if he did well elsewhere. He looks like he needs a fresh opportunity somewhere. He'd be great for someone like the Giants who could use him as a bridge to a rookie.

Yeah it’s obvious there’s not a good working relationship with gruden and I can’t see gruden sitting at the top of the draft and not taking a qb

Assuming you believe in conspiracies, the Pats won’t lose two in a row. Plus, the Saints and Brees are media darlings fighting to keep home field.

You never know.

I’m just happy we have a shot.

j/c:

I didn't get to see as much of the early games as usual, because I had our game on delay for awhile. With that said...

--Glad I took the Giants' D in 3 DFS leagues. Sanchez stinks.

--Barkley is the real deal as 3-down RB.

--The KC/Balt game was pretty awesome. Mahommes is probably playing the best qb in the entire league. That's pretty amazing for a second year guy.

--Lamar is good, but it's going to be hard to win in the playoffs when your team is so one-dimensional.

--New England blew it by setting up a dumb coverage at the end of the game. Why have Gronk back there. Miami couldn't have thrown a Hail Mary and Gronk has a bad wheels. Stupid. But, it was exciting.

--I thought Dallas overpaid for Cooper, but he is making a huge difference for the 'Boys.

--Zeke is the best RB in the league in my mind. But, Barkley and and Gurley are right there, too.

--LA really struggled w/Cinci. Why? They should have killed them. I want to get on the Charger's train, but they seem to be their own worst enemy at times.

--How does Denver get down 20 to 0 in the first half to a depleted SF team?

--The officiating in the Dallas/Philly game was nauseating.

--Both qbs are sucking ass in the Rams/Bears game.

I didn't see a ton of the game, but that was the main game I switched to when we were at commercial...........and man!!! He made one throw where he rolled to his right, threw against his body, and completed it to Hill. I thought for sure it would be picked, but he squeezed it in there. Amazing!

He's probably going to be the MVP!

Rams better hope they secure home-field advantage in the playoffs, because Goff sitting on the bench w/a jacket and then playing "stiff" will be a huge problem if they have to travel to a cold weather city in the playoffs.

Dude, you get colder if you aren't moving.

The qbs are playing like garbage. Freaking Goff sitting on the bench w/his jacket on and toboggan cap is annoying. Get the f... up and show some damn life!

Trub isn't all that good, but the shoulder could be an issue. I noticed all the high throws Cam had today w/the shoulder. Looked like he was catapulting it. Hard to throw w/a bad shoulder.

Chicago D is straight up nasty.

Watson is way better than Trubisky. I actually don't think Trubisky is very good. Even Collinsworth was calling him a one read QB on the broadcast.

All good points you made Vers, as usual. But this one sticks out in my mind. This was a stupid move. Why not get someone who can move back there? Gordon? Dion Lewis? Isn't Cordelle Patterson on NE now?

They lost because their last line of defense was a large, plodding, lumbering TE. I think he was back there so that the mythology of Gronk could get another tale. Stupid choice, they deserved to lose.

He was .. Tannehill has an arm problem .. he couldn't make a throw to the end zone.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/10/18 01:44 PM
I believe the Dolphins were 68 or 69 yards away from the end zone. Factor in that the qb has to drop back, there would be no way that Tannehill could make that throw. Hell, I don't know if anyone is going to throw it over 80 yards in the air in a live game.

Also, Cap made a good point. Even if you thought that they would try a Hail Mary, Gordon or Patterson would have been much better choices.

It was a really dumb decision by the Pats. But, I loved it. LOL
Posted By: Homewood Dog Re: Other Games - 12/10/18 01:49 PM
The Rams have always had trouble winning in cold weather especially in the playoffs and I'm going back to the late 60's. They showed it again last night. Another team that's similar is the Chargers. If either has to play in cold/bad weather I doubt they will make the SB.
Posted By: Homewood Dog Re: Other Games - 12/10/18 01:58 PM
It was a dumb decision but I enjoyed it too. It's not because I dislike the Pats I just enjoy listening to all the crying and complaining about them on local sports radio being that I live in Pats country. They couldn't say enough about the Kareem Hunt story when it broke because they felt it weakened the Pats toughest opponent to the #1 seed and the SB. Well we'll see what happens. Time will tell.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/10/18 02:01 PM
I agree. The only saving grace for the Rams is that they have a 2 game lead on Chicago and the other probable NFC teams play in domed stadiums. Seattle doesn't, but they are 3 full games behind the Rams.

The AFC is a different story. If the Chargers lose to KC next week, they will almost certainly have to play in cold weather playoff games. If they beat the Chiefs, things could get very interesting.

So, who would y’all rather have.

Russell Wilson, or Kirk Cousins? Monday night matchup.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/10/18 08:47 PM
I played a Single Game DFF contest for tonight's game. I prefer Wilson because Seattle is at home and that team is on a roll. I also think he is more "clutch" than Cousins.

He costs more than Cousins and I'm having a hard time making a lineup work.

I will say this is a big game for both teams. Lose and you might be done. Win and things are looking pretty good. Weather shouldn't be too much of a factor. 13% chance of rain at kickoff. Mid 40s for the temp. Winds around 6-8 MPH.

You know the Seattle crowd will be going crazy.
Posted By: Hammer Re: Other Games - 12/10/18 09:00 PM
Wilson - all day, every day.
Posted By: Swish Re: Other Games - 12/10/18 09:05 PM

Way to close out the first half, Russ.

That looked very 'Browns'(1999-2017.5) to me.

_______________

on a brighter note, ya know who didn't exude suckitude?

Baker.
Baker Mayfield.

He once saw what suckitude looked like, and said: "I want to be the opposite of that."

Baker was not suck.
Not even a little.

I love it when a theme comes back around for a new treatment. The best composers use that technique all the time.

Was it just me, or was this an annoying game to watch? SEA had me mumbling beneath my breath the whole time. I really thought they might lose until that goal line stand. And even then, I wasn't convinced.

Game was uglier than a mud fence.
Posted By: Swish Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 04:10 AM
Yea this definitely was an ugly game.

I’m highly disappointed in the Vikings though. They were suppose to take the next step by signing Kirk cousins.

Looks like they might’ve been better off keeping Keenum.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 04:12 AM
Two very good defenses. I wouldn't sleep on Seattle in the playoffs. They are a team on the ascend. Teams who finish strong at the end of the regular season tend to do well in the playoffs.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 04:14 AM
I am not a fan of Cousins, but the Vike's OL is really bad. Look at our team and our qb getting all day to throw and then look at them and you see instant pressure. That's tough on a qb.
Posted By: Swish Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 04:17 AM
I agree, but signing a QB like cousins forces you to change how you play offense.

I mean you have Murray and cook as RBs. They should’ve got the ball way more, and cook had 4 yards a carry this game. They would’ve ran it more with Keenum.
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 04:23 AM
True.

One thing to consider. They have Flip as their OC. Remember when he was here after replacing Shanny? Dude is pass happy. GM loved the dude. I did not. I remember him saying that if we don't gain positive yards on the first 2-3 carries, he would abandon the run.

I know he is pissing Zimmer off. LOL
Posted By: Versatile Dog Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 04:26 AM
Btw-----------did you guys see that shot of Janikowski bent over putting the ball on the tee to kick it off while wearing that hideous uniform?

LMAO..........that sight should not be permitted on national television.
Posted By: Swish Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 04:27 AM
Yea for sure lol. Zimmer loves old school football, like what the Seahawks play.

But still, that o line got bullied. Cousins stats as far as completion % is great, but once again he’s looking like a stat guy.

His numbers are about to look like his 2017 redskin season, with the lack of wins to match. Hate to say it cause I was hoping we make a run at cousins, but it looks like what people were saying about him is true.

In the first half Minni was dominated up front on both sides of the ball ... Zimm more than likely ripped his D a new butt nd made some adjustment so they only got dominated on one side of the ball in the 2nd half ...

They’ve had a lot of injuries along the OL .. there pretty bad right now ...

Seattle’s not the D u wanna go against with a weak OL .. there gonna make u pay and they pressured the heck out of Cousins all night and gave Cooks no where to run ...

Zimm and DeFelippo dont get along at all .. rthe announcers said u could feel the tension between them ... not a good situation ...

The seasons not gonna end well for Minni ... if Zimm get fired ... i’d Hire him the next day ... that dude knows D... hes a GREAT DC ...

Bill Belichick on OMF following loss to Dolphins: 'It’s the National Football League. Nobody died'

Sunday was one of the most shocking losses in the Bill Belichick era when it comes to thinking the game is over one second, and then losing the next.

Miami scored a 69-yard touchdown on several laterals with seven seconds left to stun the Patriots.

This could potentially derail a team, so on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria Monday, Belichick was asked what his message to the team was after the game.

“Look, it’s the National Football League. Nobody died," he said. "Got a big game this week against Pittsburgh. We have a two-game lead in the division. There’s a lot of football left in the season. We’ll see how it goes.”

The game against the Steelers doesn't mean as much as it could have with them losing to the Raiders Sunday, which was their third straight loss. The Patriots are now 9-4, while the Steelers are 7-5-1.

It appears like it will come down to the Patriots and Texans for the No. 2 overall seed, but still, Sunday's meeting in Pittsburgh is still a big one.

“They hit the quarterback a lot," Belichick said. "I think they are right at the top of the league in sacks. They have gotten a lot of pressure from their front. Very explosive offensively. We’ve seen that. [James] Conner has had a great year for them. Not sure what exactly his status is, but I am sure anybody and everybody that can be ready to go in this game will be there — both teams. We’ll see how it goes, but certainly we have a lot of respect for Pittsburgh and they are strong in every area of the game. We’ll need to play well. Last year’s game came down to, same thing, final play. I am sure it will be tough out there like it always is.”

The Patriots have won five straight games over the Steelers and 12 out of the last 15.

I believe Belichick loves beating the Steelers. I think Bill will have his team ready to play. Go Pats!

Well, the Vikes are currently a playoff team and their past two losses were both on the road to two playoff teams (Pats and Seachickens - two teams that are quite good in their own houses).

I think the Vikes have the Miami (home), Detroit (road) and Chicago (home). I like their chances with the Phins at home and the Lions and on the road. The Bears D could beat them up in week 17, but the division will already be cliched at that point so maybe the Bears will be resting starters, soooooo...the Vikes might be okay.

Meaning, they'll probably be in the playoffs, which is what they brought Cousins in to do (yeah, win a Super Bowl, but step 1 is playoffs and then who knows). Nobody can sign one player in the offseason and get "win the SB or else" pressure. There are too many games, players, variables and fluky plays to guarantee that kind of benchmark. Maybe for the GS Warriors, not an NFL team.

Posted By: bonefish Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 07:49 PM
Imagine the Vikings.

This team before the season start was supposed to be a Super Bowl team. Cousins was supposed to be the missing link. They go out and spend big for Cousins.

They were supposed to have all the pieces for a run.

They are 6-6-1. We are 5-7-1 from a team that did not win a game. Then forced to start a rookie QB. Then fires the head coach and OC.

Which team looks more promising today?

Last night was not Cousins fault ... the night before was not Goff’s fault ... my boy Mitch .. it was HIS FAULT ... all 3 played like crap ... IMO only one of the was culpable ...

Goff was under siege all night as has Cousins been ALL YEAR ...

I did not want Cousins ... but to blame him for whats going on in Minni is WRONG ... there OL was weak and they’ve had 2 or 3 starters out all year ....

Not sure why u put everything on the QB ... i expect that from the dolts ... not u ...
Posted By: Swish Re: Other Games - 12/11/18 08:24 PM
It’s not all on him, but I still expect a lot more from a fully guaranteed QB.

They changed the offense because they signed cousins. Under keenum they ran the ball a lot and killed the play action game. But now with cousins, it’s like you’re expected to pass because you paid this guy 80 mill to do exactly that.

Now they have Murray and cook rotting on the bench. I truly believe they’d have more wins with keenum right now.

Thats exactly true...For the most it is easier for Oline to run block vs pass block...Their Oline is amongst the worst...But somehow they don't use a bellcow in Murray and a healthy Cook to threaten teams...They hope Cousins can sail a great game with 50 pass attempts.

I don't think Cousins is great, but I do think he is better than Keenum.

I think Minni's problems this year are:

1. OL is not playing well
2. Defense is not as dominant as last year
3. Flip relied on the pass too much
4. Cousins is not a superstar qb.

$84 Million guaranteed for a 7-9 QB with 8 TDs & 5 INTs in his last 5 games. Vikes deserve what they get.

Posted By: bonefish Re: Other Games - 12/14/18 09:09 PM

The Charger Chiefs game represents a contrast with their quarterbacks.

Rivers who I followed during college is a
unique quarterback.

Probably has one the weakest arms in the game. He has always pushed the ball. He is dependent upon timing not velocity. He releases the ball really early to compensate for a weak arm. But one should never assume the ball will not be accurate.

He can throw the long ball but puts lots of air under it. Never do you see a rope throw. But once again the ball will be on target.

He is a pocket quarterback. Extremely slow to get going and move. But he will move in the pocket.

Smart. You are not fooling Rivers. He will find the go to target. Leader. He is a driving force on the field. Controls the huddle and is like a coach on the field. He came that way out of college.

Then there is Mahomes. This guy does things I have never seen even attempted by anyone. I am going to try to find in archives my first take on Mahomes when he was in the draft.

People are gushing about him and rightfully so. This guy is an incredible athlete. Super arm. He can move and fire like nobody's business. Plays quarterback like a shortstop.

Different arm angles. Different arms. The play is never over with him. You watch him play a game and you are bound to see something you have never seen before.

The game played out almost to a script.

Great entertainment.

Love Bake ... THRILLED he’s ours ... couldnt be happier and more excited for the future ... with that said ...

I’d take Mahommes in a heartbeat over Bake ... dang that kid is incredible ...

Did u see the facial expression and lip sinc by Rivers reacting to one of Mahommes plays on he 1st or 2nd drive i believe it was ... it was PRICELESS ....
Posted By: bonefish Re: Other Games - 12/14/18 10:48 PM
Went back in archives to 2017 and the draft.

So funny to read what people wrote about Mahomes now.

This is what I wrote:

"Mahomes is a contrast of talent. He has many things you look for as far as size and arm strength.
He displays characteristics that you like and don't like. He can put a throw right on the money and miss a throw that is a lay up.

But I like this guy. He is the type that could really thrive with the right coaching. Most of what he does wrong is correctable. What he does right comes from inside. This young man plays to win. In many ways he reminds me of Farve. He is undisciplined in his mechanics and footwork. But super confident in his ability to make plays. Love his competitive drive and leadership quality.

He will need time. Coming from the offense he played under and just where he is in development. It will require time to form his NFL game.

He is a good option for the Browns as a second rounder. He has the potential to be every bit as good as the top three ranked guys in this draft."

Man, I was dead wrong about Mahomes. I said I couldn't understand all the love he was getting because I thought he was inaccurate.

That turned out be a very poor analysis.
Posted By: bonefish Re: Other Games - 12/15/18 12:03 AM
This is what I found regarding those two guys.

"For the sake of argument let's say Garoppolo is not available.

Let's also say that no quarterback is taken 1 to 11 and we took Garrett at number one.

So here we are at 12 with the pick of the quarterback litter.

Forget any other position for the moment.

What quarterback do you want at number 12?

For me under those circumstances it comes down to Trubisky and Watson.

I have to go with Trubisky. The reasons are:

Although athletic and having displayed good movement in the pocket and shown that he can run. Trubisky is a pocket passer. He is a throw first guy.

He also is in my mind the most accurate guy in the draft. In addition he has shown that he can pick up secondary receivers. The whole thing about 12 starts is concerning but what can you do? He played well in 12 games. I think he would continue to play well if he played in more games.

Although there are many qualities about Watson that I like. The NFL has proven that pocket passers live to pass another day; running quarterbacks don't live to run another day.

Running is part of Watson's game. There is no way that all of a sudden he becomes a pocket passer only. If Cam Newton with his size can not stay on the field I doubt that Watson can.

Watson can throw the ball. He is also a leader. I do not want to undermine what he has done. He has had a terrific college career. And I would not say that he can not succeed in the NFL. But when it comes to accuracy. Trubisky is more accurate.

I could go through all the criteria that makes up a quarterback but for the sake of brevity this is it.

Trubisky fits the mold of guys who are successful in the NFL."
Posted By: bonefish Re: Other Games - 12/15/18 12:06 AM

Posted By: bonefish Re: Other Games - 12/15/18 01:41 AM
You know I remember thinking Trent Richardson was the bomb.

That tape of him hitting the bag with a Browns guy behind it.

TR just looked like a sure thing. So powerful. Nobody is always right. Hell look at who the Browns have drafted.

With QB's I stand behind what I wrote at the time. There was no question about Watson as a leader. He played out of sight on the biggest stages.

But he was not a consistently accurate quarterback. And him running? Already a problem. He still takes way to many hits.

He is a good player and a good quarterback.

Posted By: eotab Re: Other Games - 12/15/18 05:47 PM
I didn't know diddly about Mahomes from the draft. If I had an opinion it was from viewing stats but I didn't really know of him to comment with any authority. I usually say something to that effect if I stated an opinion.

The kid is great. In the long run I will take Baker. Got to remember we are comparing year two of Mahomes to year one of Baker. Rivers has always been a great QB. Chargers got the deal giving up Eli for Rivers plus.

I know he has a very unique throwing style but he doesn't have a weak arm. His touch is amazing. Cannot believe the Chargers won that game. Mahomes did show a chink in that armor. But he is an incredible talent. So so good on the move. Problem is he is more apt to become damaged goods just like Wentz, RG3 and I thought Watson but he is overcoming his injury pretty well. Wentz getting there but now where close to what he was prior to the injury.
