Good teams with continuity and great coaching can overcome pre-seasons like we have had. Mediocre and bad teams go forth and 41

I hate our kicker, please cut him now.
Lamar is scary good, and that drive that turned into 4th and 41 was brutal.

He doesn't process fast enough after the snap.

It was very obvious in training camp when comparing him and Keenum.

He was much better as a rookie. He has really regressed.

Posted By: SunDawg Re: Gameday at Baltimore II - 09/13/20 07:01 PM
When Beckham is a focus of the play calling this offense just gets stuck in the mud...sometimes there just isn't chemistry...I think the Odell experiment needs to end sooner than later...trade him for some help on the defense...maybe a CB who isn't made of glass...we have too many of those...

Baltimore made some real defensive adjustments at halftime,

the Browns are not running up and down the field like the first half.

A big pass to Landry, 20 yards,

first down.

Posted By: BarkinMad Re: Gameday at Baltimore II - 09/13/20 07:09 PM
yep, I've seen this movie before, it's called groundhog day. Same ol' Browns, same results. BIG L. Again, I know there's injuries, but still, if they're supposedly improved, they should play like it, they have not. I expected the defense to not be so good, but the offense should have shown improvement, it hasn't. Baker targets OBJ way too much. OBJ has had several drops and one really bad penalty, not a good game for him, how often is that said? I see nothing good coming out of this. I hope they prove me wrong, but I doubt it. This team does not look good nor improved.

First and 20, studend body left, Hunt carries,

PUNISHING blow by the defense, the defense is celebrating like a hostile bunch

2nd and 18, Beckham with a catch short,
3rd and 13

3 wide, one back, long pause before the snap

a very hard throw, middle complete, first, Njoku

Checkdown to Hunt, Browns across the midfield, not yet in the red zone.

like that play... WR wide open and Baker just completely misses him... it's just disappointing.

Can we see the backup QB? Mayfield is garbage, time to move on.
Posted By: THROW LONG Re: Gameday at Baltimore II - 09/13/20 07:14 PM
The offense is much better in scheme but no points.

So you have a glorified Qb's coach / O coord. as your head coach, and

a 6-31 deficit in the opener, in scoring position,

3 minutes remain in the 3rd, really not in doubt.
Posted By: leadtheway Re: Gameday at Baltimore II - 09/13/20 07:14 PM
Oh look a high throw from baker. Where we see that before. And if baker makes another read had obj open

Doesn't even look at him.

I've seen the Browns cause so many defensive automatic first down penalties on another team,

wait, it's 4th down, oh well, sack anyway.

We are playing a 14-2 team that returned its entire coaching staff and improved its talent. This was always going to be it.

J/C At this point this appears to be a 1st Pre -season game that happens to count. We look un-prepared on all 3 phases of the game. K Stefanski's Debut as a play cALLER/ H/C not good. I feel play calling has sucked and been predictable the whole game with the exception of the Freddie-Esc fake punt which was MORONIC. It is very apparent as to why we placed a Kicker on the practice squad as he will probably be the Guy moving forward, Seibert is a choke artist. Not angry or emotional about this post, kinda felt it was coming. Hard game and circumstances to open the season.

LJ Fort, was a Brown, and they didn't let him start,

He has good plays against the Browns every year for the Ravens.

In Chubbs defense, he didn't let go of the ball till his knee was down,
problem is, his knee was down on the back of a Browns player.

No expectation of winning the opener (are they EVER ready?) but didn't expect to be blown out. +$200 on the day thanks to the Ravens (I'm not stupid). On to the Bengals.

i gotta defend coaches here. there's plenty of coaches who don't show emotions like that on the sideline and are really good.

I don't get the 'emotion' thing people are ticked about from the coach... what do you want? him ranting on the sidelines and flipping water coolers?

Dude's face is covered in a mask... he could be pissed off and you could barely tell with the mask... I don't mind him being steady on the sidelines... I hope he rips into the time in the locker room and during practice this week

So, he didn't play or he played in a different spot,
either way, I don't recall hearing his name, good or bad even once.

When wills comes back next season it will still basically be his rookie year but he will be coming back from a major injury and probably wont be able to play with his full ability. This kind of situation could completely derail his career.

call timeout..

He cant put any pressure on his leg. We have seen this story before, not just when it comes to browns players either. If he basically cant walk then the odds of him playing again this year are I'm at best
