It would be disastrous if he couldn't go.

It sounds like he’s just getting a rest day.
Precautionary
Thought I saw that KhaDarel Hodge is ready to return to the lineup. Not sure if he would be ready to play this week.
Is Teller pedaling on a bike an improvement from what he was doing last week? Don't recall hearing much of anything about him since the injury occurred.
I think Tretter is just going to be a consistent presence on our injury report this year.
Tretter has always played through pain during his time in CLE. Played through a high ankle sprain, knee injury and now the latest knee issue.
I expect him to be out there and not miss a beat.
I'll be surprised if Teller plays, but at least this promising...
If he is feeling good enough to go, I think I'd rather we dress him, but keep him on the sideline and let Hubbard get the work and only put him in if we need to.
May as well let him get through the Bye at this point.
I'm surprised we haven't heard anything at all about Greedy at this point, though. I know he was IR'd, but that shoulder HAS to be doing better by now, and he should be eligible to return soon. Definitely after the Bye.
A better FS, getting guys like Greedy healthy, and maybe another DE and LB and this defense will be completely different.
Anyone know what procedure Hooper had for the appendectomy? I could not imagine playing football for awhile after that.

They do laparoscopy unless it burst.
In my own mind I'm not expecting Teller back until after the bye.
Yeah that is what I was wondering. When my appendix burst they had to do the incision etc. and it was two weeks until the staples came out. I was nervous about riding the subway in NYC for awhile after let alone any kind of contact sports.
glad he's back, but i hope he doesn't take reps away from Hollywood.

Hodge has speed to burn. It will be interesting who will be #2 and who will be #3.
IIRC, he should take return duties away from DPJ.
With OBJ out, there's no reason why he would takes snaps from Higgins. If OBJ were still on the field, that might be different story, but I would hope that Higgins chemistry with Baker remains on display and solidifies him in the lineup.

It depends on how much emphasis they want to put on speed. In two receiver sets there is no speed to stretch the field with Higgins as the two.
Posting because it has the Raiders injuries
Forgot they had Carl Nassib. He played with a fury against us in Tampa two years ago.
They’re healthy right now. They just had their bye in week 6 ... full strength it appears
Hopefully Conklin will be ok. With teller out Hubbard would have to move back to rt i would think
we should rest everyone who has any bit of an injury against LV and let them heal up for 3 weeks.
Teams do it all of the time for the playoffs. we should too so we can finish the last part of the schedule strong.

That adds literally almost nothing to the offensive firepower, not a threat to take over a game, whatsoever.
Actually, since the loss of stars puts you behind the 8 ball, the fact a role player is coming back, (if even a role player), hurts as much as it helps because
it fills a roster spot, when you need something that matters.
Like a blank in the chamber when you need a live round, it's in the way.
Hodge was less of a factor than Ratley and Ratley got waived, (I think, maybe traded)
Jojo Natson is a similar situation.
I haven't seen Hodge do anything when on the field.

I don’t think he has been on the field much. He has 3 receptions in 3 games.
What's up with Phillips? He looked good when he was in there

his knee has been pretty injured IIRC

He re-injured his knee
I think that JC could have a limb amputated on Tuesday and would still show up to start on Sunday.
so teller, phillips, hooper are 25% likley to play at this point

Stefanski said Teller is doubtful.

my hope is that he and Chubb are back after the bye
Should we be reading into Garrett being held out 2 straight days? Does that mean it's more than precautionary... or are we not worried about him being prepared other than making sure he's as healthy as possible?
I'd guess at all of the above.
He is our defense, so he HAS to play.... give him the extra rest so he can play on Sunday, then he has two weeks to recover before the next game.
I agree. I think he had ankle issue(s) earlier in his career and I suppose they are just being extra cautious.
Garrett getting 1 practice in at 'limited' status doesn't sound like 'abundance of caution' to me.
I am assuming they wouldn't have let him back in the game if it was something serious.
Did he come back in the 2nd half? O honestly dont remember seeing him
He came back in for a little bit, but I think it was just one series, maybe two. I'm guessing the sideline look was inconclusive and he thought he could give it a go, then that didn't go well and he was out.
Without him, we will finish below .500 this year. Guaranteed.
Would be nice if Garrett could stay healthy and/or unsuspended.
Just one season would be nice.

Over reaction of the year right here.
That's an overreaction?
To him having an MRI on his knee?
I read a great quote on Garrrett several weeks ago. It was something to the effect of ...Garrett has been three things in his career...hurt, suspended, or dominant.
Great quote that! And he has been less dominant lately. Needs to stand down and heal. We should get DNA and clone him during this bye week. We need more from the front. Woods needs to adjust this. Like a vanilla- no MG set to start.
I have no idea how he adjusts, though.
We start blitzing to get more pressure, that means our safeties and LBs need to cover better, but they won't and they will get exploited. That also means that we actually need to get to the QB, and nobody can rush the passer outside of Myles.
We start playing conservatively, and that means the QB will have all day and can just target Sendejo's guy. That may sound harsh, but the Raiders definitely did that on 3rd down and in the red zone. I don't know if that was by play design, or if other teams are literally factoring him into their reads.
Btw, our best play against the Raiders happened when we rushed 3 guys. Myles was one of them, though.
Our best chance is to get better players HAHA.
But it’s no fun to be the DC, I’m sure. We can’t generate pressure ESPECIALLY when Myles is out. And we can’t cover.
And then ... when we DO make a good play yesterday, we have a bad luck face mask or drop the INT

He came back most 3rd down plays but he was just bull rushing and a shadow of his self as far as talent goes.
