That’s a great tweet haha
Bucs Rams is the game of the week....besides ours.
And I'll be rooting for the Chargers to beat the Chiefs...longshot, I know.
I'm looking for Cinci to upset Pittsburgh. I think they can do it, and it would a have a real mental effect on the Steelers.
I hope Woods is watching the Panthers blitz the hell of of a rookie QB and have 3 sacks and have held the Texans to 44 total yards
Houston is vastly underrated. Sure they aren't a playoff team but their not scrubs.
The Texans have a lot and I mean a lot of guys on 1 year deals.
So, they are playing their a$$es off for next year.
I hope Woods is watching the Panthers blitz the hell of of a rookie QB and have 3 sacks and have held the Texans to 44 total yards
Preach! I kept thinking that over and over again during that game. Sure looked a hell of a lot less comfortable against them than he did against us.
Panthers with a fairly easy win. They’ll be different without CMC though.
Houston puts forth good effort, but doesn’t have top end talent
I'm looking for Cinci to upset Pittsburgh. I think they can do it, and it would a have a real mental effect on the Steelers.
I hope they tie! And the Browns win and the ravens lose.
Credit where it's due, postgame stats aren't showing any picks or fumbles from Mills, and only 4 sacks. Carolina (allegedly) has a pretty tough D, so while he didn't play well he also didn't play all that bad either.
There was a very questionable "forward pass" call, just for the record.
I didn't watch the second half, but Darnold barely outplayed Mills in the first half. If his OL doen't recover 2 fumbles, who know how the reset of that game goes?
I will say that Mills kid plays tough. When protected he moved the ball well. I think in time he could start with more experience and at a minimum is a quality back up.
Sam Darnold = Andy Dalton Lite
Woods plays super safe and dare I say scared? It's a shame that he didn't unleash the dogs on that easily rattled rookie.
And btw, the Texans D was legit. They played them well until the 4th qrt. They did get beat pretty bad on some play action though. We could've done the same but KS was protecting Baker.
Sam Darnold = Andy Dalton Lite
And he's 3-0.
Balt beats Det. Tucker 66 yrd FG off the crossbar, good. Thx Lions.
Chiefs lose to Chargers. Chiefs are now in last place.
Baltimore should of been called for delay of game the play before the fg. Play clock was at zero at least 2 or 3 seconds before the ball was snapped
A delay of game there does change that.
Baltimore should of been called for delay of game the play before the fg. Play clock was at zero at least 2 or 3 seconds before the ball was snapped
Yup. They'll makeup some excuse like "the Tv clock wasn't properly lined up with the Ref's clock" or whatever, but we all saw the rip off the lions.
That's just unreal. 66 yards, and I don't care if it went off the crossbar ...... just getting it there, man, that's just crazy.
Chiefs lose to Chargers. Chiefs are now in last place.
Love how they played lights out amazing against us then blew 2 games, classic Browns luck
Ravens have now won 2 straight games on luck and fluke plays. I wish we could have even 10% of a taste of their luck sometimes.
Just the physical ability to pull that off...wow.
Baltimore should of been called for delay of game the play before the fg. Play clock was at zero at least 2 or 3 seconds before the ball was snapped
what is up with all the long FG's today. lol
yep, you're right, the play clock hit zero and they should have been called for delay of game.
Chiefs lose to Chargers. Chiefs are now in last place.
Are you serious clark?
I was flipping back to the Steeler game, which they lost, and it seemed like the officials were hosing Cinci the whole game. Typical game in Heinz field
The ravens are like a bad odor that lingers and wont go away no matter what you do
Where is the Post Game Posts thread!
Freaking ravens lucking out
Steelers have had so many fantastic seasons over the years, this won't be one of them. Good win today for the Browns though.
Those fans behind the goalpost smh I feel their pain. ugh!
Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid taken to hospital after Sunday's loss, source says
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/3228...oss-source-saysI hope he's OK. He's a great coach.
Raiders have turned it on
Aditi plays that card so often … but she’s right, she shouldn’t get crap
AFC West standings through 3 weeks:
1. Broncos 3-0
1. Raiders 3-0
3. Chargers 2-1
4. Chiefs 1-2
Just like we expected.
Our next 4 games are very difficult:
Minnesota
LA Chargers
Arizona
Denver
Need the defense to show up like they did today, the OL to play better, and Baker to play better.
They are all winnable. The only game that I think should be tough is the Chargers.
Considering LA's only had a team since 2016 during Brady's career, this might have been his only game there.
Nice catch, I missed the joke.
So did the Ref call roughing the passer or did New York have to buzz in to call it?
Are they 4-0 now? They have only played 3 games.
I watched them win the game against the ravens 3 times two weeks ago.
Something Has Got to be Done! about those Ravens! How many times are they going to get away with free outs on the procedural penalties they commit!
They have only played 3 games, 12 quarters, and already that is at least FIVE times where their procedural penalties have been given freebees of not calling the penalty, to pretend they called time out.
And then today! on the final play of the game they were given a free out of a delay of game?
to kick a 66 yard fg and change the outcome of NOT ONLY THE GAME WINNER, BUT ALSO THE STANDINGS IN THE AFC NORTH DIVISION, AND THE BROWNS!!
PLAYOFF !!
POSITION!!!
SOMETHING! HAS GOT TO BE DONE! ABOUT THESE
^&^^^ d---- ravens~
Our next 4 games are very difficult:
Minnesota
LA Chargers
Arizona
Denver
Yeah Vikings were looking to be the easiest one, but they are playing strong...Cousins is looking sharp...Chargers upset KC, Zona is putting up points behind Kyler...and Bridgewater has been playing really stellar ball for Denver, oh and their defense is beastly...All four are going to be tough, hopefully we'll be able to split those games.
I am sure each of those teams are looking at the schedule and thinking that the Browns game would be a difficult game to win.
San Francisco made a mistake by scoring a TD with more than 30 seconds left in the game.
Rogers comes back to get the FG and the win.
That’s twice this year. Brady week 1.
Other games SNF
Sunday Night Football 2021 week #1.
The Raiders and Qb Derek Carr, use only 2 passes!
only 2 (less than 1:00 to play?)
to go from Drive starts to attempted and made field goal, to force overtime, (with no timeouts iirc.) and eventually win that game. (over the ravens)
Week #3. Sunday Night Football 2021.
The 49ers get a 1 point lead and leave 37 seconds
and the Green Bay Packers and Qb Aaron Rogers
use only 2 passes,
only 2, (not counting spiking the ball)
to go from drive start to attempted and made field goal. to get the win.
The Browns don't seem to have this tool in their toolbox.
I would rather be up by 20.
Some tools should sit unused.
If you saw the stat Rogers was 4-12 in similar situations. Now he is 5-12
Our next 4 games are very difficult:
Minnesota
LA Chargers
Arizona
Denver
If the Browns Head coach/ offensive play caller...
Can know when to take a field goal in the first quarter, if it's presented in a 0-0 or 0-3 score game.
And if the Same, can... Not start the first 3 drives of the day totally ABANDONING THE RUN, with 2 near hall of fame Running Backs in his available play calls,
and put the team in Jeopardy of falling behind 0-10 at home, with the first half nearing an end,
and the passing game not working because you've abandoned the run,
Now, if that had happened, then how would they have likely been able to return to the running game, when they needed to get points quickly, a situation,
Totally Avoidable, but not starting the first 3 drives of the game, pretending the run game doesn't exist.
Minnesota has one win against Seattle, lost to Cincy and Arizona
LA Chargers won against KC and Washington, but lost to Dallas
Arizona have wins against Titans, Vikings, and Jaguars
Denver have wins against, Giants, Jaguars, and Jets
TBH all games look winnable, especially when you view who everyone has lost or won against.
Gonna be difficult but Ski is really good at preparing for the game ahead and not looking too far forward.
... That's our job as fans..
Home games vs road games. Home openers. Games coming off a win, and games coming off of a loss.
The Vikings looked bad in weeks 1 and 2 maybe, but they started 2 times on the road.
They played their home opener, they looked good, next week also the Vikings will be home, the Browns on the road. Vikings in their home opener just held the Seahawks to 0 points the entire 2nd half.
Rodgers is a magician still. That was another great primetime game

Yup. They'll makeup some excuse like "the Tv clock wasn't properly lined up with the Ref's clock" or whatever, but we all saw the rip off the lions.
Total crock. It wasn't even close. It seemed like 2-3 extra seconds before the snap.

Refs don't call a delay of game penalty on Ravens. Justin Tucker kicks an NFL record 66 yard FG in final seconds to beat the Detroit Lions. Thanks for nothing Lions.

It was Justin Tucker who got time added to the play clock last year against us so he had more time to kick a game winning FG that they weren't going to get off in time.. seems to be a trend.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda... but the Chiefs should be 0-3 and the Ravens should be 1-2... the Steelers don't look good, the Bills have started to play more like was expected, the Chargers are definitely legit, the Raiders have played well, the Dolphins look good. The AFC is going to be a wild ride in November and December...
Correction:
Chiefs should be and are 1-2 and Ravens should be 0-3.
Correction:
Chiefs should be and are 1-2 and Ravens should be 0-3.
Fair point.
Before the season began.
Talk of the Bucs going undefeated. Well glad that nonsense is over.
The Chiefs are a super team. "There are all the teams and then there are the Chiefs."
Mmmm. Well. Maybe not they have given up 95 points in three games.
Funny how the media all want to predict how it will end from their chairs in August. Then the season is three weeks old and many now sing a different tune.
It would be funny if they would play back what was stated by whom.
Another thing.
Saw a press conference with Belichick. He was asked about Brady. He looked down and mumbled.
Since all the cheating stuff came out and it was true. And the way he has handled things since then.
I have lost a lot of respect for him.
He is a great coach and Hall a Famer. Probably will be regarded as the greatest coach.
But he is not without faults. The whole Brady/Belichick discussion about who was more important?
A debatable discussion.
I'm gonna be the party pooper and say I don't like the Peyton Eli thing.
your channel is doing ok too.
Oh, s#!
LMAO!!!
Can't breathe-
I agree. I rarely stay up to watch much of MNF, but it is a very interesting way to watch the game. I like it.
I like the Peyton/Eli thing as long as I’m not THAT invested in the game. Like if the Browns are playing? I’m watching the regular broadcast to see it better.
But they have good insights and comments
I'm gonna be the party pooper and say I don't like the Peyton Eli thing.
I'll party with you -- not my thing at all.
I agree.
I have always thought there was room for something along that format.
The broadcast format has not changed. Play by play and color guy. Broadcaster and jock.
The success of GMFB should alert networks that people have had enough of "experts." I am so over Michael Irving, Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson, "put in the name."
The above average fan who knows football to their degree can be fun if the personality is right.
It would be a fun broadcast for a weekly matchup having two knowledgeable fans from each team watch their game together. Trash talking and going nuts as big plays happen.
Maybe hard to put it together but worth a try to experiment.
Yeah I know it. And a lot of times the former players are SO bad. Archuleta was not good at all. It made it painful

I listened to them for a little bit and found it interesting, but if I want to really watch the game I would find it distracting. One thing ESPN did a few times was broadcast the National Championship game while 4 current college coaches & 2 ESPN analysts commented. That was very insightful.

It's the networks trying to bring "hey, come on over and watch the game with us" into your living room. Football 'party' where your friends are Peyton and Eli but you can't talk to them.
When former players become analysts and talk game it is all lingo.
The detail of football is in position preparation. Technique.
If I call a route a short cross or a flat and someone calls it something else who cares?
Football is not complicated. Pre-snap and post snap are clues to execution. Blocking schemes, routes, etc. are not hard to follow.
A tv game is on the LOS and a little more. Unless there is a replay you can not see coverage or all the routes.
In breakdowns like Baldy does. You can see the whole play develop.
It is all about the moments of the game that raise the blood pressure.
Excitement comes from being there or, with a group of passionate fans watching together.
That is why the Peyton Eli thing will catch on.
I see the Peyton/Eli thing as a breath of fresh air. We've seen pretty much the exact same format for decades now. So many times I've told my wife these guys have to fill all that air time and it just gets painful to listen to after a while. Year after year, decade after decade the same old BS.
Now I do agree if it were a Browns game I would prefer the regular broadcast. But at least when it's other teams playing I get a little entertainment out of it rather than the same old regurgitated crap I've been hearing since I was a kid.
Man I hear you.
Madden added something but he is gone.
I am like that watching the Braves. I turn the sound off. Read a book and glance and rewind.
The garbage before NFL games makes me dizzy. Everyone's "keys to the game" with conviction. Mute.
Sound on when ball meets foot.
My favorite football guy is Baldy. I love Baldy's breakdowns.
My wife calls it “The View for Men”
It is mindless blithering of total nonsense.
I had to kill time waiting for work stuff last night and via the awesomeness of Gamepass I watched Pitt v Cinci. Here is what I think I saw:
-Steelers RB Harris is a load. I don't think the dude went down on first contact once.
-Similarly, Mixon looked really good. Cinci's running and passing game seems to mesh exceptionally well at times (Burrow passes loosening things up for Mixon and vice-versa).
-Chase can really snatch the ball out of the air. Dude has hands.
-Pitts Oline looked like a hot mess. Holding and procedural penalties all over the place.
-Cinci's secondary put their bigboy shoulder pads on. They clearly came out wanting to hit.
-Pitt's defensive front looked really pedestrian. I know they're missing Watt, which is a big deal and will result in a dropoff... but I didn't think it would be that much. Maybe Cinci's line did a really good job, but I doubt it.
Well if you like Eli and Peyton too bad, they are on hiatus TBD.
