Dont let that rapist have a chance at playoffs or another super bowl. I dont care if a masked man comes out and hits ben in the knee with a foreign object and then Myles slaps on the figure four. Whatever it takes lol

Browns-20
Steelers-17

It is looking like we're having most of the team back. I'm hoping we destroy these guys - between having to win to keep alive in the hunt plus being the "healthiest" we've been in weeks, plus (hopefully) an average or better Baker.

Browns 34
Steelers 13

In other games, KC needs a win to keep the top seed alive and pull off the win.

Chiefs 31
Bengals 23

The Ravens\Rams game scares me a little. Both side of the ball (Rams) have been worse the second half than the first, and the Ravens have kept games close of late (Bengals being the exception). If the Ravens are without Lamar, Rams win - if they have Lamar, it is a toss up. It is looking like Lamar may not play, so

Rams 27
Ravens 20

If this is the case, it all comes down to Browns/Bengals in week 18
Posted By: FATE Re: Predictions - 12/29/21 07:08 PM
If the Ravens happen to beat the Rams, we'll have to rely on the Steelers to take out the Ravens in week 18.

The only ammo they'll have left in the tank is wanting to send Ben out with a win and avoiding a sub-500 season.

j/c...

If Chiefs beat Bengals (Ravens loss is added boost) and keep Browns playoff hopes alive:

Browns - Win

Steelers - Lose

If Bengals beat the Chiefs and playoff chances are dashed:

Browns - Calling their travel agents

Steelers - Win

There is a path to the 7th seed if the Bengals beat the Chiefs... and it's not even all that crazy...

Biggest upset we would need is the Broncos beat Chargers week 17. Sure there are other things that need to happen, but most of them are actually on the edge of "probable".

*Raiders would need to lose week 18 vs Chargers
*Dolphins would need to lose both games (@ Titans, vs Patriots)
*Ravens would need to lose one of final two (vs Rams, vs Steelers)

Browns will probably beat the Steelers. I could see some like Browns 24 Steelers 17.

Unfortunately, I also can see the Browns losing to Cincinnati.

No playoffs this year and a whole lotta thinking about what to do for next year. Draft a QB? Extend Baker?
Posted By: PitDAWG Re: Predictions - 12/30/21 04:57 PM
Baker is already under contract for next season. There's no reason that the decision needs to be made now on an extension.
Posted By: OldColdDawg Re: Predictions - 12/31/21 01:29 AM
There is no way to predict what the hell will happen the next two weeks. I'll be surprised if we make the playoffs. Happily surprised. And if we do, I think we will run deep because we are healthy at the right time. And if we don't, it's just been a weird season all around if you ask me. Not down on any one player/coach/FO enough to want to blow it up OR even change the roster/staff much. I think the WRs coach perhaps should be on the hot seat, but not much more.
Posted By: bonefish Re: Predictions - 12/31/21 01:50 PM
Never been a crystal ball guy.

But the Browns are going into this game at about as healthy as they have been all year.

The weather should not be a factor 32 degrees very little wind, and no rain or snow.

The Steelers are not a good team. Their run defense is bad. Their offense limited.

We should win this game easily by over two scores.

That does not mean we will.

Browns 17

Close game, but it's probably Ben's last at Heinz Field. Will be extra motivation for the team.

True. But we need to be prepared. So drafting a QB is a necessary step? Otherwise we end up with a likely pissed off Baker and nobody to step in. Or do we grab a FA who is on the downside while drafting a QB after that?

Of course, if Baker is healthy next year and the impact of COVID declines then perhaps this becomes moot.

I don't really know what we "should" do. What I do know is a QB controversy has never been a positive thing for a team. I also know that undermining a QB's confidence can never lead to anything good coming from it. Making moves at the QB position that indicates you're making contingency plans to replace Baker will only lead to a bad outcome IMO. A QB has to know he has the support of his FO and coaching staff if you expect to give him a fair shot next year.

As far as my opinion goes I think the best option would be not to make any moves that would cause the team, the fan base or Baker to think you're already making plans to move on from him until the decision has been whether you are or not. I think this FO will have the time to make contingency plans if or when a decision is made to move on from Baker without making any moves before such time.

No, I want Baker to have every chance to succeed next season. I don't want him to be looking over his shoulder.

Predictions !!!

Browns! In both of their final two games, At Pittsburgh, and Home vs. Cincinnati, The Browns will need to be the first team to score 36 points in order to win.
and at least in the Bengals game, the first team to score 36 points will be the team that wins.

Anybody who thinks the Browns can score only 21 vs. either of these two teams in the near last game of the year, and thinks that would be enough points to win, anybody who thinks that, well they must be standing between the Cart and the Horse.
Posted By: Psydeffect Re: Predictions - 12/31/21 11:21 PM
It will be more of the same old same old.

We'll get wins from the Cheifs and the Rams, get our hopes up as the Browns play a good enough game to win. But they will will have their usual screw ups and chokes in crunch time and lose.

Ju-Ju is right. The Browns is the Browns.

Have to disagree. Dont get me wrong 36 would be great. However although Steelers beat us it was with 15 points . When we beat the bengals we held them to what? 7 points I think?
Posted By: bigdatut Re: Predictions - 01/01/22 01:39 PM
Outside of blind homerism wrapped in hope, this Cleveland Browns team has given no one any reason to believe that they will come through in a big moment. Combine that with the Heinz Field juju of Rassenfritter's last home game, I think it could be a long night.

I'll hope for the best until the final whistle blows - just not buying it pregame.

Going to predict a win

Baker fired up over death threats

Team fired up over death threats

Stefanski scared to get death threats if he doesn't run the ball down the field for TD's

The Browns remember the back to back wins against them last year, they know they can win !

Browns .. 31+

Steelers .. 20

We seem pretty healthy-We should be able to go in there and pull off a win.

That being said, if it is a field goal game in the middle of the 4th, I don't think we will win.

something like a phantom pi call that will turn the tide
Posted By: Bard Dawg Re: Predictions - 01/02/22 09:50 PM
I expect to lose if refs can influence it in the 4th. Maybe not by a flag, but I am really concerned about the damage done to us and others by the "non-calls." PI, holding, roughing and more. Better be absolutely brutal and brilliant. The zebras can get you if you don't watch out!

Bless the Elves & cut 'em loose! Go, Browns!

Stoolers 27

Clowns 13

Seasons over. This garbage team can’t pull it together enough for a big game. For a garbage time game?

I expect this clowns team to embarrass the city fantastically in the last two games of the season. You’re playing the stoolers who have owned your ass more than any other team has owned another teams ass in the history of football. And then you play the division champs with a qb who is vastly superior to yours in every measure.

7-10. And we deserve it.

What do you expect when the team had the 2nd most number of players that hit one of the injury/reserve lists? 54 players hit one of them this season - 54. One team (TEN) from the top 10 made the playoffs. And to boot, 6 of our losses were 1 score games. We're not as garbage as you make it out...smh
