I'd like to see JB get multiple series w/the starting OL and see Cooper and DPJ play at least a couple of series. Not worried about RBs. I want to see our starting DTs play.
I'd like to see all the starter get some reps. I don't think a one size fits all "end of the haf" is needed, but guys need to get some hitting on.
j/c:
3 adequate series for the starters (except RBs).
Lots of Johnson and Ford throughout - time to make some sort of decision regarding Johnson?
Starters and backups for PR duties - Felton vs. Schwartz vs. Easop Winston? Don't want DPJ back there.
Lots of Dobbs - give Rosen the 4th quarter to possibly find a new home for a team desperate for a #2 or one carrying 3 QBs (for whatever reason) going into the regular season.
KS mentioned in the press conference that he meets with the other head coaches before the game and they decide on objectives.
Also no big surprises like full blitz's. They also do not want one teams first string going against all 2/3 string players.
Plain vanilla game plans etc.
So, I expect we will see some starters. Maybe not others.
I also expect guys in tight position battles will play. Vets like Bitonio and others probably will not play.
No injuries at this point is very important.
JMO...the Browns starters need to play...
You can't play football if you are in constant fear of injuries...and I'm directing this comment to Stefanski and the front office boys.
I definitely want to see the starters minus Chubb and Garrett, maybe even Ward. Play them at least three series, even more if they look discombobulated.
I want to see the starters standing on the sidelines watching the game. Give me lots of Lavert Hill types playing.
Stefanski will probably give Brissett a series or two to get some work in.
Starters I definitely do not want to see on the field:
Chubb
Hunt
The entire OL
Cooper
Njoku
Garrett
Clowney
JOK
Walker
Ward
Newsome II
JJ III
Delpit
Well if he plays Brissett he better play that oline
This game should be no more than a practice.
Get in a series or two for some guys.
Nah. Stefanski already mentioned how he and Eberflus have already spoke about blitzing. Browns back up OL did a fine job last week. I'm not sure Eberflus even intends to play a vet like Robert Quinn.
Back up OL will give Brissett enough time to drop back and throw a pass to Schwartz so we can all watch it clang off his hands.
Personally, I think the starters should play a half since the next game is the real thing.
I'd play the starting O until they put up 2 TD's. So, 2 series or as many as it takes, even against the 4th Qtr scrubs
Garrett was pretty excited about playing Chicago again after the last time we met, so I fully expect to see him out there for at least the first half.

Myles is not likely to get much if any time honing his skills against the Bears 5th round rookie out of Southern Utah, imo.
Save it until the sacks actually count.
It's not like MG doesn't put in the work on his weight training and conditioning in the off season.
The starters need to play at least a few series. This crap about avoiding injuries , is just that crap. There are more injuries in the first few games now then ever it seems. Many of the players are not even used to being hit going into the first game of the season. They always talk about "ramping up" for the season, but nowadays, the first game is like the first live action teams get.
The fans deserve a look at what the organization is putting on the field. I feel bad for ticket holders that have to pay for these crap games.
in general want to see first team play the first half... Chubb and Myles don't need to play... probably sit Clowny and Ward and anyone else who has a small injury...
I like this approach. Sit when you finish your chores. But I am a big believer in having some tape on every player you intend to keep. And any bubbles. I hate risking injuries, but graduate from Easy TC (relatively) to Gameday. Prepare the basic stuff in this last preseason game. I could see two PS games; getting charged for these scrimmages isn't much of a treat for ticket members IMO.

I don't know if it is crap, but injuries happen. I don't think you can hide from them.
I’d play the starting O minus Chubb/Hunt for at least a quarter. Get 3-4 drives in.
I’d sit Garrett, Ward, and Clowney on D (and whoever else has some lingering injury)
I do like the set-up where the season doesn't start until 2 weeks after cuts. It allows for some rest and also allows 2 weeks to get any guys you pick up on the waiver wire at least somewhat up to speed before the games begin.
I feel taking a look at the players who are still battling for a team spot need to play more the first two preseason games.
In the third game, starters need to get battle ready ! Warriors aren't warriors because they sit back and take the easy way through a battle.
They are warriors because they battle hard to prepare to defeat their opponent !!
I'll never forget how pathetic the Browns looked in the season opener at home against the Titans in 2019 under Freddie's easy TC !
Imagine what a boxing match would look like if the boxers only shadow boxed before a fight.
Darn glad our best D in the league isn't playing a real game- might be 21-0 so far....WOW, we suck.
SMH
Damn, I called it.....I guess our D will have two weeks to regroup....GO Browns!!! At this rate we'll hold them to 42.
