This SB seems like a pretty hard one to predict. San Fran has an offensive weapon combination that's hard to stop when you combine Deebo Samuals with Christian McCaffery and George Kittle. Shanahan also has a great football mind. Then you have the Chiefs which this will make their fourth SB appearance in the last five seasons. Mahomes has been the SB MVP twice. Then I would have to say that Andy Reid also has a great football mind and has been blessed with the best QB in the NFL at this point in time.

It's a tough call to be sure but I'll have to go with the team that has been there and done that and give the Chiefs an edge.

All I really hope to see for everyone's sake is a good, close game we will all enjoy watching. I hope all of you enjoy the day and the game.

Chiefs on the ML.

Not betting against Mahomes.

Sory San Fran ..... but I am picking you.

I pick the Cheifs just because they are more experienced. But I'm rooting for SF.

Looks like a coin toss game.

Both teams have the tools to win.

I am rooting for Kelce a Cleveland good guy who has an attractive girl friend. What's her name again?

Close til late, then Frisco moves it to 10pts.

49ers -- 37
Chiefs -- 27

Yeah I’m the same way

Cheering for Niners... if I was betting I'm not betting against Chiefs... I think this could be a very high scoring, back and forth game... if niners are going to win they need CMC to go off!

I also predict I'll be tired of Taylor Swift coverage by half time and I'll probably only watch about 25% of the half time show...

Me three.

What I really want is a good, competitive game. It should be. Taking off work to watch it.

SF deserves to lose, theyve squandered so much this game and Purdy is showing he can't handle the pressure of a big game... went away from run game instead of leaning into it with a lead and the OPOY...shanahan is not all that tbh
Posted By: leadtheway Re: Super Bowl Prediction Thread - 02/12/24 03:26 AM
one thing for sure, the refs have swallowed their whistle.. don't' blame them.. But it makes the game so much better to watch

when is the last time we went to overtime in the Super Bowl?
Posted By: leadtheway Re: Super Bowl Prediction Thread - 02/12/24 03:44 AM
SF defense is giving it up in chunks right now
Posted By: leadtheway Re: Super Bowl Prediction Thread - 02/12/24 03:44 AM
KC is winning this easy
Posted By: leadtheway Re: Super Bowl Prediction Thread - 02/12/24 03:47 AM

What a good game! And man, that teary Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce embrace after his trophy speech was very special to half the country.

yeah.. turned that [censored] off after the td..... was pulling for the niners... not surprised the chiefs won and the NFL got Taylor and Kelce to kiss on cue...

It was rigged.

That was an entertaining game.

It looked like the Niners were dialed in for most of the first half.

The Chiefs took the momentum away from them.

When the Niners kicked a field goal in OT. My first thoughts were. You are in big trouble. It felt like the Chiefs would come down the field and win the game.

And they did. True Champions do that.

A good rule of thumb is never bet against Patrick Mahomes, he's just too good a player to lose (at least most of the time). It definitely was a decent game to watch. Enjoyable.
Posted By: Bull_Dawg Re: Super Bowl Prediction Thread - 02/12/24 02:02 PM
Taking the ball first in OT definitely felt like a mistake.

Agreed Bone. When I look at Patrick Mahomes, I see a player leading a team that the rest of the AFC will have to beat to get to the Super Bowl. Josh Allen against PM and the Chiefs are a modern-day version of Bernie and our Browns against John Elway and the Broncos. We have the most talent and best team since those mid to late 80's teams. There was only one QB and one team we couldn't beat to get to the SB. Now in the AFC with all those very good QB's and teams there could be as many as 5-6 teams that we'll have to deal with to get there and with the Chargers hiring Jim Harbaugh they will be better. We need DW to play like a top 10 QB or there is a good chance all the talent we have will be wasted. We have to add some talent at WR and RB to help DW out. Tough time to get to the SB in the AFC.

If I had a choice I would have liked to have seen the Niners win. But I really thought K.C. would. It was a great game to watch and as competitive a game as one could ask for. Mahomes went 8-for-8 for 42 yards on the game-winning drive. That's as clutch as a QB can be. When it's all on the line and those clutch situations define who a player is. Mahomes is a championship QB.
