He's been virtually a total no show, same with Dray.

Great work if you can find it! Ask Bowe. Get us some more players. Just amazing how many concussions.

Must be the elbow issue reported before. And Pett can't bring himself to say it is his start because he is healthy.

I think he's been listed as probable all year due to his elbow/tendinitis thing.

So Housler is on IR now, Hartline and Hawkins are out. Wait...that's one, two, three receivers...

So who gets promoted from the PS? Exactly, another CB.

This is like a bad running gag. Ray Farmer logic. Transaction like a Brown. If this Saunders kid is inactive, I might die laughing pregame.

The Browns now have 8 CBs and 5 S on the roster and still have Gaines on IR-to return. Maybe they just want to mess with Justin Gilbert and show him how deep down he is on the CB depth chart
Posted By: Swish Re: Injuries - 11/05/15 12:02 AM
its crazy. they are straight up refusing to give Gilbert any playing time at CB.

i understand he's bad, but man, wouldn't playing help him out? this season is a bust anyway.

I agree its crazy why we keep adding additional CBs when we expect Manziel to be OK slinging it to Marlon Moore and Bowe...sighh Gilbert is only playing special teams and corner, but why not give him some playing time even if its dime corner and make an actual WR active instead of another CB/S...

What also strikes me odd isn't Pettine the secondary lover whom loves an abundance of secondary players...All I know is that secondary is banged up...but the WR corps is in just as bad shape too ...Wonder if Duke will line up at WR...

Man, did I miss when glass jaws became part of the standard issue of equipment in Cleveland???

To me Whitner looked like he got a stinger.

Haden takes a heel in the facemask = concussion?

First this team was plagued with hamstring injuries. Now its "concussions"? How do we know if these guys aren't tearing muscles and having headaches because they are simply just dehydrated?

I bet we have more guys out with concussions than the rest of the Division combined... sheesh.

It looks like there are 21 players in the NFL with concussions this week and 4 of them are Browns. I guess the only thing you can't accuse the Browns of this year is being Hard Headed laugh
Posted By: Dawgs4Life Re: Injuries - 11/05/15 02:09 PM
look at those injury lists ... good lord

Cincy has about as few injuries as you can have in Week 9 ... we're totally decimated

This could be ugly IMO

He was supposed to have the same skills as Cameron and be able to replace him. Being injured for most of the season and looking poor when he had chances seem to make the signing another bad one. I was excited about the signing because I had read good things about him, unfortunate.
Posted By: Dave Re: Injuries - 11/05/15 02:22 PM
Maybe this would have been a good time to re-sign Terrelle Pryor. He might be good enough to warrant that all-important, highly-coveted 53rd spot on the roster, considering the health of our WR corps.

I can't imagine Bibbs being any worse than Housler and Dray have been thus far.

I was actually really high on him this preseason, but what do I know?

Be ready to be super pissed. At least for this season. Erving is about to get housed. Luckily, because there is no plan, when Bitonio is healthy he will be back in and Erving will have nowhere to play.
Posted By: eotab Re: Injuries - 11/10/15 07:33 PM
1. What is the prognosis of Bitonio? I know he limped off early before the half ended but came out and played. I know JT is his idol and he wanted to not miss a rep like him.

2. Erving has been practicing several positions as the 6th man...that is very hard on a rookie. I wasn't going to evaluate him until next year when he will practice and pla one position mainly and enter the season playing that position.

Right away he's going to get burnt etc. At least he'll have all week to practice the one position. We'll see but this assumption that he sucks - Cousins sucked What does that have to do with Erving? Everything Brown does not suck.

Man if I have to witness him getting completely blown up and put on his arse (which is what I am use to what little reps I do see him out there) on a consistent basis, I can only hear the Fire Ray Farmer voice getting louder and amplifying!

Come on join the lynch mob. He did not start the first game of the season, and he was not set for the pro bowl by his third game, and not voted into the Hall Of Fame already. He has to suck more than all the porn stars in history. Geez get with the program around here.

he said Porn Star...hehe... I don't know why but instantaneously I had a flash back to our University Movie of the week...circa 1974 2nd semester...Linda Lovelace in Deep Throat...lol laugh

If I have the time - just for all I will break down Erving's play...by rep - I'll try to do it by Quarter so if my time is limited I can get at least a quarter in. Interior line play you have to watch each play several times to get the 90% correct story of what is going on. I'm curious how this will belie some posts I've read already about him being put on his ass all the time. Last time I did it was for LAVA MAN...as many many were Pissing on his play and I didn't remember it that way so took an in depth look and it was amazing how dumb those references were to his play as he actually had a stellar game. smh
Posted By: ddubia Re: Injuries - 11/10/15 11:03 PM
I think someone stepped on his foot on one play and he went down, forward, not knocked back. That's all it took for the "all or nothing crowd" to proclaim him as being always on the ground.

I'll be really interested in reading your break down on him.

i really am looking foward to the Erving's play thing. i always get a chuckle when you break down O-LINE play. that time you told me the reason lava was always on the ground because he pt so much effort blowing holes open i had to change my underware i laughed so hard.

So if I did a play by play that would humor you as in One who cannot learn and educate themselves will retort to ridiculing the education. 2. The guy is one of the few Browns who left here and got paid a good chunk of money.

3. Before his injury this year he was being touted as a Pro-Bowl Caliber OG not my words the analyst at the games. Forgot with who...probably Cowboys or Giants either case it was the top crew.

I won't tell you how to cut and paste and you don't tell me about OL play. My goodness you will never know what I know. Thanks again for your informative and classy post. I apologize once again for knowing football and trying to share it. Instead I get stalkers trying to teach me some sort of lesson. The only lesson I am learning is that I have less and less respect for you. wink So you all can play your little NONE FOOTBALL GAMES and keep on slandering, attacking me at every corner. Even if the Bozo is wrong I would say those words still counter the preaching of them who insist Lava was a bum. And that I did take a play be play review and showed to all that poster like PB didn't have a clue.

If you were one touting him as a bum in that game as well...my intentions again was not to insult those who did...it was simply something I did not remember from the game as he was getting ripped and was pretty surprised at the stellar game he actually had.

But lest stalk the HOMER EO as he tries to still put positives on the board...after all posters like you were getting the benefit of recruiting more posters I guess to your PITY Party.

But don't you even see how that looks? Every time the media says something you disagree with, you label them as BOZOS.

Then you turn around and use media quotes and opinions when they agree with you.

As far as lava goes, I thought he did a good job for us. Please don't confuse the two things.

You actually liked that? rolleyes
Posted By: ddubia Re: Injuries - 11/13/15 04:01 AM
Yes, you didn't?

I liked it because he does try to post positives as he can see them and he often gets shot down for it. Plus, he identified a certain segment as having a "pity party" which is just what it looks like to me.

I'm pretty damn disgusted with this team. I don't even look forward to watching the games like I used to. I used to be on pins & needles waiting for 1pm. Now-a-days I watch the game because it's on but I have come to expect very little nor care much at all when the results are in.

Everybody sees the negative stuff. I do too. And many post it. Hell, I think if there were a, "We Suck", button on here it would be worn out by now.

I tend to not want to post those things but sometimes I'm overcome and I post my concerns. I don't usually feel good about it but sometimes just need to get it out.

Eotab tries to see the positive side and posts in that manner regardless of how many agree or disagree with him. I like that. I like reading that. Sometimes it even gives me some hope, and hope is something I'm lacking with this team these days.

I'm not on any side except the side that wants all this crap fixed so we can turn this team around. That's the only side I'm ever on. Sometimes I think and post positive and sometimes negative.

You said something about I, and some others, should post more. So I thought, what the hell and have posted more the past couple of days. But really, it brings me no joy. I seem to lack the passion that I used to have that made me care so much.

I find myself defending the team in one post and kicking their ass in the next. I don't even know why I bother to do it.

I wouldn't even be reading the board but for a few of you guys who make sense and I'm interested in what you guys have to say. I'm just looking for answers.
