Seattle 31
Cleveland 13

Last week was the first time the team played with pride the whole season, but that was the 49ers. This week in Seattle is a team that is much more superior talent wise and it's just a terrible match-up. I think Manziel will really struggle against their defense.

Browns - 17
Hawks - 35

42-6.

For some reason, I'm thinking the Seahawks don't cover the spread.

^That^ sounds about right. It's probably gonna be a bloodbath.
Posted By: clwb419 Re: Pedictions - 12/16/15 12:23 AM
Seattle is just hitting their stride on offense and defense. If what we did this past week is not an anomaly, then we lose respectably. If it is the anomaly, it is going to be very ugly.
Posted By: Rishuz Re: Pedictions - 12/16/15 12:29 AM
I think the team plays inspired, and it's closer than people think.

Win or lose, I think Manziel will get some additional respect coming out of this game.

I expect to read quotes of Seattle players comparing him to Wilson.

Other than the travel, I think this is a good spot for the Browns. I think they surprise and make it close. If I were betting the game, I'd take the points.

Only thing I'm concerned about is Manziel's progress.

Wouldn't that be a great piece to add to this storybook season!

More and more I think about it. Browns play above like we never seen this year. Making this off season drama a masterpiece theater!!

Imagine how loud it would be in the 4th quarter on a Browns drive if this were the score. Hopefully Johnny can deal with that.

I can't even predict this game.

I think we have some life because of Johnny and the team hasn't quit under Pet, but man, Seattle is peaking at the exact right time. And they have way more talent than us.

But that's ALWAYS the Browns: more drama in offseason than necessary, less drama on the field where it's required. Berea can't help it- it's ALWAYS a soap opera from Dec through May. And it's constantly holding us back.

Part of me hopes that JH grabs all these knuckleheads and bangs their skulls together "3 Stooges Style"... and tells them to "freakkin' find a way to work together, because you are stuck with each other for the duration of your contracts."

Try a little longevity. Give them a chance to iron out their wrinkles and continue the plan that's only 1/3 in place.

Sorry... these thoughts are for a different thread.

For some reason I am thinking we will play this game like we did against Denver. It will be tough but, close. Maybe because Seattle will think they will have their way with us and are looking ahead at more "meaningful" games. Or, the Browns are excited after their win and are willing to "cut it loose". Maybe a bit of both. A disrespected team with nothing to lose can sometimes be a dangerous team to those playing for everything.

My head wants me to accept that Seattle are that much better and we lose but, my heart is saying it won't be the bloodbath many are imagining. Hell, maybe even an upset in the PNW?

Posted By: clevesteve Re: Pedictions - 12/16/15 05:15 AM
I agree, it will be bad. With our secondary situation this won't be pretty. Like 42-13 kind of bad. Who is Seattle's backup QB? Still Jackson? We might see him before it's over.

Seattle doesn't have washed up Peyton Manning to throw us the ball a bunch of times.
Posted By: CHSDawg Re: Pedictions - 12/16/15 06:58 AM
We're getting stomped.

Maybe it's me being high and too instinctive, but they're just such a good team. Yeah, we did great the other day. But we were playing the 9ers. There's a solid chance they'll be picking in front of us. Maybe I'm just being too sudden, but eh.

I'm just glad it's a later game, the early games are too early for me to start drinking and drinking will be a requisite for watching this one.

Agreed. Usually I have at least a "feel" for a game (whether I'm right or wrong), but this game I simply don't know what to expect. I do believe, however, that we'll play hard and make Seattle earn their win if the result is in their favor. You just never know though, they might have an off-game and JM plays inspired ball...

So you want there to be a riot at the Clink? Whatever you do on offense, keep the plays away from Chancellor if you're smart.
Posted By: DCDAWGFAN Re: Pedictions - 12/16/15 06:02 PM
If the Browns can come out and play confidant early and make some plays they have a chance to keep this close. If they fall behind early the Seahawks will smell blood and it could get ugly.

Browns offense and special teams can't make mistakes that lead to easy Seattle points.

Optimistically, I think the Browns will start strong and keep it close but in the end, the Seahawks are just too good and have too much to play for..

Seahawks 30
Browns 20

I think it will be really bad because Seattle really got their offense together, and we can't string good games together.

But I'll be drinking a few adult beverages along the way. So I'll win.

So its official, the Browns are going to lose 31-28 after Doug Baldwin has 3 Rushing TDs and Returns a Punt for a TD.

Though mayhaps only 7 sacks and not 9 since JM will actually throw the ball away and not run out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage.

I'll bet we score at least 1 offensive touchdown.

And they gave up about 425 yards of offense in both games.. and no touchdowns.

So if we have 400 yards of offense and no touchdowns, it will mean Manziel isn't really that good... but that's not what it means for Bridgewater and Flacco.

That's probably why they signed the new RB. I am still scratching my head about cutting Jennings tho. The times he has been out there he has looked decent.

I fully expect a loss but hope and think we will play with fire, passion and keep it competitive.

I'm interested in watching what I feel is the most noticeable difference (though there are many) between the two teams... and that is the way the defense pursues and hits, especially in the back half of the defense.

I've been very critical of how our LBs and DBs don't punish anybody, they drag people to the ground. In recent years, Seattle has been the poster child for making you pay for catching a pass across the middle or out in the flat.

If we can match that level of intensity and that level of aggression, we have a chance to stay in this game.

I expect Shelton to lightly shove Wilson to the ground and get flagged 15 yards..

Then later in the game Johnny will roll out and get leveled by two defenders after he throws the ball but their will be no flag..

Andrew Hawkins will likely leave with a concussion if he plays..

Because certain teams, Seattle, Pitt, Baltimore (Lewis/Reed era) are allowed to hit people late, or high.. because thats just "[Insert Team] Football"

By if any other team does it, your Matthew Dellevadova diving for a loose ball and get labeled "dirty"

It may get REALLY ugly, I'm thinkin.' The Seahawks are on a roll, especially their QB. (Ut-oh!)
Posted By: Bard Dawg Re: Pedictions - 12/19/15 10:57 PM
Well tackling gives them a real advantage. We hug 'em well. And they cover; we chase.
They punish and sew will if we hold long enough.

Big difference in the scheme. Their defense tears some folks in half. Take heart!

We have Bowe AND new unis. They haven't been together much, but it is progress. We do have one ugly hill to climb Sunday. Another day, another gut check. I will root for us, but I am tired of overlooking the lame and stupid stuff. Don't battle; win the bloody game.
Posted By: E.Ryze19 Re: Pedictions - 12/19/15 11:01 PM
The defense better show up with some fire. Johnny will have his hands full.
This could get ugly quick.
Posted By: clevesteve Re: Pedictions - 12/20/15 04:17 AM
I have a feeling Cooper is going to have a good game. This is the kind of QB we need him against. Based on Carroll's comments about their RB situation I think they are going to throw it a lot. Very few DL can move like Cooper does and if Wilson tries to buy time or roll out against Cooper he could be in trouble. Just a hunch.
Posted By: Ballpeen Re: Pedictions - 12/20/15 12:08 PM
I think Duke has a big game and the score stays inside 5 points. The Browns win if it is 3 or less.
Posted By: Razorthorns Re: Pedictions - 12/20/15 01:54 PM
browns lose to seattle 35 to 12 after we miss all field goals. We get a surprise TD 1st drive of the game and then seattle goes nuts. Then in garbage time JM leads them to another score.

That was a freakin' GREAT game!!! thumbsup I had a Browns high for two or three days afterwards. Not kidding!

Completely different situation. We were a good team with a ton of playmakers coming off a 10-6 season. What we are currently watching is a dumpster fire or a trainwreck or futility that is rarely seen in professional sports.

Having said that, I'm feeling good about today for some reason. May drive down to the casino and put a moneyline bet down on the team. cool

Rish while I understand your point...if this old mans memory isnt failing me...we had an absolutely awful offense that year...and well no one thought we could win...

So I guess what I'm saying is..we are awful again and no one thinks we can compete let alone win was my only correlation I was trying to make.

Either way...I hope we monday night Giants game them thumbsup

Betting the line may be the better way to go because they may get some garbage time points if they're down.

I'm thinking the same thing. Johnny gets hurt and our D gives up in the first quarter. This could be one of those epic beatings.

The only real hope is the Seahawks take us very lightly and don't bother showing up. Perhaps they drank the town dry last night.... Nah, these guys like playing football. Wish our players did.

I'll drop it here because frankly its irrelevant...but when I googled it this was in the article that described the win...and I know what game it was I was there..but this is a snippet of the article.

Actually, on a nationally televised stage, they got embarrassed by the Cleveland Browns, 35-14, snapping their eight-game winning streak and their run of 12 straight wins away from home. In their worst performance in nearly 11 months, the Giants' third-ranked defense was shredded by the NFL's worst offense. And Manning helped throw the game away with three interceptions - three times as many as he had in the first four games.on

so I'll move on ok?? and like I said hope we stomp Seattle like we did to the Giants...in the Giants game nanner
