Yes
Nope.
It only matters what the people in charge want, and whether he eventually winds up on the Browns, not what fans want.
If (gun to my head) I have to make a decision now then the answer would be 'no'. I'm generally risk-averse, so him really not being out of the woods yet with his legal situation (civil lawsuits still pending, plus impending punishment from the league) mean I'm not parting with the assets that Houston wants to get. Houston has established they're perfectly fine letting him sit and rot on their roster until they get the compensation they're looking for.
He's going to be increibly expensive.
This poll turning out just like the one I saw on Twitter, 1/3 for and 2/3 against.
Can I change my vote?

I wanted this guy for his talent, but the more I look into this guy, he is truly a s-bag.
I said N. Mostly due to cost.
I voted in the yes column and did on March 13th, though I still like the Browns sticking with Baker Mayfiled,
from the beginning and the last 4 years, there were a very small number of Qb's that if they were both on the Browns, Watson, and Baker, that I'd advocate for the other quarterback to start, and Deshaun Watson has always been one of those.

I still think Baker, and his Lightning upside, for a streaky quarter, (one quarter of a game) is a higher upside,
but I think Watson, has had a close to equal to Bakers, season long upside, But,
if Baker could catch a Lightning small stretch, and stretch out his good games to the correct time of the playoffs, that he'll win Super Bowls.

It's a Sad day even though I really like the play of both Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield.
I voted no today.. I would have voted no before the deal was done. Reasons were simple,, cost and the allegations he's got hanging over his head...

Hope the gamble works because if not, we are in a hole for a long long time.
I plead the 5th
Apparently people like losing on this forum. Explains a whole lot.
I voted yes. If it turns out that he actually committed crimes, then I'll change it to no.
I honestly don't like how any of this came down..Trashing Baker who did nothing but lay it all out there for the Browns, Fans and City. Watson will, if he can even play, probably be a better QB than Baker.. But at the same time I wonder how good he'll even be. He's been out of the league for a year.. .

Done differently, I might be ok with the deal.... Money is way toooooooo much and the downside could kill us for years to come.
I am not as concerned with the money. Even if we signed Baker to an extension, how much would that have cost? Watson would still have been signed and probably for not much less than we payed. Baker and his agent would be pointing that that contract as well.

Maybe we set the curve, or maybe we got behind the curve. Time will tell, but I have a feeling the money we paid is going to be a given over the next year or two as QB contracts come due. The cap is rising. We may end up with a deal of sorts.
