The UK has opened its very first sex doll brothel - see, 2018 isn't so bad after all. Don't believe us? Check it out for yourself.

The brothel, owned by Lovedoll UK, was opened to meet the growing demand of customers who wanted the chance to 'try' out dolls before forking out £2,000 ($2,798) to buy one.

Instead, they can now check into the brothel in Tyne and Wear for £100 ($140) an hour and choose their very own plastic-lover.

The rooms in the brothel, which is located within the romantic setting of an industrial estate in Gateshead, come complete with a doll (of course), a double bed, some condoms and lube.

If after the hour, the customer is taken with the doll and the experience, they can buy it and take it home with them. The dolls can be designed to look like a celebrity, a partner or whoever you fancy, really. What a time to be alive, eh?

Graham, who owns Lovedoll UK, has said that opening his doll brothel has got human escorts worried they'll be put out of business.

He said: "I have spoken to escort services before about bringing sex dolls into brothels - but they are scared.

"I don't know why they are, it may just require more of a vision than they have. It is more efficient - the sex dolls can pretty much run themselves.

"Maybe they just don't think that it's viable, or that it would put real-life escorts out of business.

"If I found somewhere that was open enough to consider it then I would think about selling them a couple of my dolls. Seventy percent of guys aren't bothered that the dolls have been used before."

Graham also said that it's not just men who want to buy these dolls, many women are also splashing out on them to keep their husbands happy.

He added: "I always knew that sex dolls were going to be normalised. Some guys will buy one and some guys will get a whole harem of dolls.

"Some men keep them for 24 hours and sell them straight back but some might keep them for 10 years and get married to them.

"You used to play with dolls as a child. These sex dolls are dolls. Maybe people just like that kind of thing."
