So here's what's going on...
The house democrats opened an impeachment inquiry. This allows them to gather information and/or intelligence of evidence of impeachable acts. It's similar to how law enforcement makes sure to get evidence before any crime is charged.
If they find sufficient evidence, they'll hold an impeachment vote. The evidence will then get sent to the Senate, and then it's up to the Senate to decide based on the factual information they are presented.
Right now, Trump's making radnom claims about he's apparently being lynched, yet it obvious he fails to understand how the whole entire process works. He will get his day in court, in-front of the Senate, to defend himself from the facts that get presented.
Also, don't even get me started on this whole 'I'm being lynched!" nonsense Trump is spouting. Talk about a dog whistle...
