In many of the "picks" by whoever. I don't think they really know the Browns.

They look at some stats. They have seen Stroud and what he has done. Then they make a guess.

The Texans won 3 games last year. They played a weak schedule and their division is weak. No matter what Stroud has done and he has played great. He is a rookie. He has never been in a playoff game against a defense like the Browns.

Schwartz has 40 years of experience. He knows how to rattle a young qb.

I really do not see this as a close game.

Listening to the same crap on NFL network running some errands before the game.
They are making it sound like we are playing Brady or Montana, both names they just mentioned in comparison to Stroud.

They said virtually nothing about our d. They said nothing about their defense, the butt whooping we laid down a couple weeks ago, nothing

When he wins today he will pass Brett Favre for the most wild card game wins ever in the NFL.

Flacco also has seven road playoff wins and one more would move him past Tom Brady for most in NFL history.

He's felt good about almost every game this year. The Browns are 11-6. I like those odds.

I can't post it on the board or provide the link because it has the F word in the video. But if you want to see something to help fire you up, go on Youtube and search "Living La Vida Flacco". It's a pretty sweet video.

There's also a meme going around. Can't show if for the same language issue. It uses that judge that just got attacked in court. The defendant jumped the desk.

BUT, in the meme it states "Myles Garret after CJ Straud says 'set, hut!"

I felt really bad about the Niners and the second Ravens game.

I did not think we would win those games. In fact i was shocked.

I've been paying attention.

As we all know from experience. Football can be strange.

We are indoors. Unlike the Bills/Steelers or the KC/Miami games where the weather introduces factors.

The weather will be constant.

We beat this team recently at this location. We did not have a punter or kicker. We were forced to go for it when a field goal would have made sense.

Stroud has played great. He has not faced a defense like the Browns.

We destroyed their defense. They do not match-up well against our offense.

There are never guaranteed wins. But if we play our game with limited mistakes.

I feel good about us winning this game.

I feel good about it too but I try to keep it a little more simple than that. In the last two games where the Browns played their starters they scored 36 against the Texans and 37 against the Jets. The Jets D is ranked 3rd according to FOX Sports. While the Texans D ranks 14th.

NFL Team Defense Rankings through Week 18

https://www.foxsports.com/articles/nfl/2023-nfl-defense-rankings-team-pass-and-rush-stats

I combine that with the fact that the Texans with Stroud starting last week only managed to score 23 points against the Colts D which is ranked 24th by that very same source. By contrast the Browns D is ranked #1.

The wind here in Cleveland is terrible....especially along the Lake. Some places have already lost power and it might get worse.

I lost power yesterday for a few hours and could lose it again. If so, I''ll be drinking a beer in my car, in the driveway, listening to Jim Donovan.

GO BROWNS.

Best of luck Memphis. Hope you keep your electric and watch the game on TV.

Gusts up to 50mph here in Fort Wayne, wind chill as low as -25 later this evening. I'm about to drive across town to the backers bar because I can't stand the thought of cheering all alone lol.

Wife tried earlier this week to either have some friends over, or go to their house for the game. They were leaving for Florida. I'm glad. I prefer to watch the game/s here at home, by myself, in the garage.

I'm the complete opposite. I prefer to watch alone (aside from my wife and kids being here). I need all focus to be on the game and no distractions. I'd probably have to leave a Browns Backers bar after about 2 mins of being in that environment, lol.

Which is why I do not go to games anymore. The small, private party with the 50 yard line view of every play from a TV is my preferred viewing option.

But when the wind limits your choices, choices must be made.

I am real picky about who I watch a game with. My son is best.

He knows the game well and stays positive during the game.

But I rarely get to watch a game with him. Mostly alone and nervous.
