I agree that I do not see a reason to spend both 1st rounders on OL and wouldn't mind standing pat at OG if we feel Steiny will be ready (and let Pinkston/Lauvao battle for RG).

but, late round for starting RT? I think we could find a decent one in the 3rd if we have other BPA ahead of that slot, but would rather we spend our #22 or #37 to fix the RT hole.

I forgot about Steinbach. I don't think he returns to the team at his current price. But if he does come back that just reinforces the idea that we don't need to take offensive line very high.

I made a mistake by saying draft a right tackle in the later rounds. Obviously I would go best player available throughout the draft, and if that means drafting a right tackle in the 2nd round I am all for it.

Don't forget we will also have Tony Pashos returning. Do I want to go into the season with Pashos as the starter? No. Will I be surprised if he is the starter going into week one? No.

I didn't forget about Pashos. Trust me. That's why I want a RT replacement

I was okay with the idea of hoping he could stay healthy and him being a decent RT when healthy (though we should have retained Porkchop as his backup). But, even when healthy, he was not good. So, I think we cannot go into the year with him starting at RT (or at least have a young guy to push him out of starting during the year).

.. Pashos .. Is our starting RT ; someone needs to put a contract out on Heckert !
