man i was scared to make this thread after last sunday's train wreck.
but, i will stick to my principle. im not picking us to win until we actually win.
same thing as last time. post the W-L prediction, as well as 3 offensive players stats, and the defense sack/turnover #'s
Mayfield: 20-35, 235, 1 TD, 1 pick, 1 fumble Chubb: 17 carries, 76 yards, 1 TD OBJ: 4 rec, 65 yards, 1 TD
Defense: 3 sacks, no TO's
Jets win 24-17.
god i hope im wrong.

The flow of a game can change stats, so I can't predict those.
I will say that I think the Browns win handily. Losing Darnold was huge for them.
I also think Njoku could have a nice day because if I remember correctly, G. Williams defense struggled defending TEs while he was in Cleveland.
Maybe look for more passes to the RBs, for similar reasons.

Good point about the TEs and Williams .. though the guy to be wary of is Adams of course

Maybe I should had put it as Browns commit 14 penalties for -135 yards .. anyway .. I think you got the gist of my comment ... I do not want to see it happen, but after last week's game with Tennessee, it is what I expect.

One of two outcomes will happen.
Either we play a lot more disciplined and win big or we play like last week and get our ass handed to us. I have no idea what will happen or the score. If we get down early we will likely get pass-happy and Baker will throw more picks again. If we have a repeat of last week this season could go off the rails quickly. I don't mind losing, I DO mind stupidity being the cause of it. This game is the most important of the entire season. It's not a must-win, but IS a must play better or else game. Another game like last week and the entire season is in jeopardy.

I actually agree .. I think it’ll be one of two opposite games for us

I DO think this is a must win. If they repeat last week, they will be lucky to go .500.

Lol if we play like last week I dont think we could win a game (maybe hyperbole, but not by much) I DO think this is a must win. If they repeat last week, they will be lucky to go .500.

I can't see them following up last week with another version of the same. The offense wasn't terrible outside of the TOs and penalties - and similarly the defense without the penalties wasn't terrible.
Add in Darnold is out, Bell just had an MRI on his shoulder, Msely is questionable, Demarius won't have a great grasp of the O yet and that they had only 223 yards last week, and I think our D plays up to expectations.
Their D gave up 370 yards and despite Williams knowing this team overall, I don't see them making a drastic improvement if we can manage TOs and penalties.
Chubb 20 carries, 130 yards, 1 TD Mayfield 24 for 34, 331 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT, sacked once Landry 10 catches, 150 yards, 3 TD Seibert 4 for 4 XP, 2 for 3 FG D gives up 250 yards, has 1 INT and 1 fumble recovery and 7 sacks
Browns 34-10

I don't think Darnold being out is a huge loss for the the Jets, Semien is just as mediocre as Darnold. The Browns are simply a better team talent-wise and this week they will begin their geling into a team coming off the bad loss.
Baker 22-29 285, 2TDs 0 INTs Chubb 25 for 123yd 2 TD 5 penalties (hilarious we are predicting penalty number) Seibert 1 short FG and one missed PAT
Hoping the corners play up to the hype and provide 1-2 INTs and the DL produces 4 sacks
Browns 30-17 - Relax this is the NFL where teams are crowned one week and left for dead the next.

How can a team that lost by 30 points at home be a favorite in ANY GAME?
Mayfield: 25-45, 202, 1 TD, 3 INT Chubb: 17 carries, 77 yards, 1 TD OBJ: 2 rec, 12 yards, 0 TD Landry 5 rec, 50 yards, 0 TD Defense: 0 sacks, no TO's
Jets win 47-17.

After buying into the hype of this being the Greatest Browns Team since 1964, how King John can do no wrong, how we should all take the excursion boat to Paradise Isle, I would say the fan base would revolt if we lost to the Jets by 30.

I gotta work that night but will DVR the game and watch it later on, during the week.
We should be able to win this game, their backup QB is starting.
We gotta get it together this week.

Yeah, I couldn't make a guess because honestly I'm not confident 27 points gets us a win. I hate to say it but I think we'll be between 8 and 11 penalties. I expect the unsportsmanlike stuff to clean up because that's the easiest but something in my gut says we're not as disciplined as we should be yet.

On one hand, the Browns are a much better team and should win. On the other hand,it's a Monday nighter bringing more pressure. Being the bullies and punks that team has become, they should beat up a lessor foe. But,being the bullies and punks that this team has become, they will probably cower under the weight of MNF. It should be a Browns victory, but they could just as easily lose.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

Baker has a bounce back game. To big of a competitor and to much talent not to. Baker 25/30 250YDS 3TDs 0INTs Chubb 20 carries 80yds 2TDs OBJ 5 catches 110yds 3TDS
Browns 38 Jets 20.

Between the horrible game, the fact that FK has no control over this team and lets them bring all this unnecessary distractions during a big week instead of telling them to shut up and play, all the while attributing more to it..I can't see how Dorsey is happy with FK right now, I'd venture to say he's regretting his decision as much as the fan base is. Monday is the night to get it back on track. I have to think with the Jets not being very good anyways, and missing most of their above average talent, 24-14 sounds about right with a browns win
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

When was the last time we blew a team out? Like the Cardinals 44-6 or something like that?
That certainly would be nice. I just don't see it happening.
I want to see: Browns 45 Jets 10
What I think I will see: more penalties less INTS but more fumbles
Browns 23 Jets 19
Cleveland Browns, Space Browns

I think you're way off on Chubb's yards. The biggest thing that stood out of Swish's post, to me, was 17 carries for Chubb. I think there's no way that Freddie, calls a run to Chubb 17 times in route to what's feeling like a 24/28 to 10/13 loss. ( will give Chubb 10 or fewer carries, because, nobody ever learns) Nothing out ranks a bad coaching day. I think the Jets are a stone cold lead pipe lock. Only thing standing in the way of that ^ is Baker feeling dangerous' but then I have to remind myself, that nothing holds more weight than bad coaching, . Browns are x and x on the road the past 3 years, Browns haven't been on MNF since the Pettine era. Mayfield is better than Darnold, I know this, the Jets know this, everybody knows this! But they found a way, with this last minute Trevor Simeien starting thing, to find a way to shuffle the deck. The Browns defense has gone all in on this rushing the QB thing, and left no room for hold back and keep the running lanes < Zero. Which is why we saw a 60 yard screen pass for a score last week. No Damarious Randall, No Jabrill Peppers, No Kevin Zeitler, Duke is out, Perriman is out and Callaway is suspended, Carlos Hyde is not going to score, The Quarterback is the starter, not an X factor off the bench; These are not the 2018 Browns, With all of that, I'm going to Guaran I'm going to Guaran ( Can't do it, but when it happens, we all already knew it.) Gosh this sucks! Why can't they ever learn how to play winning football!

You bring up a good point about Chubb: we simply cannot fall in love with the pass. I get that we think Baker will be good and that we have good WRs ... but running the ball a bit more and keeping the D honest will make them EVEN BETTER.
I know it’s a passing league, so gone are the days of 25 carries. But I think we gotta give Chubb 15-20 per week
