Ben's back with a prolific passing attack.

How do we thwart the offense with our division 3 secondary?

We have to cover 3C: Canadian Chase Claypool. He’s been beast-like.

Don’t let him beat us. Myles will be coming hard at Ben, and they know it. Jam the receivers at the LOS, get healthy on D hopefully the next few days.

On O: the play action where Baker rolls to his right is being caught up with by defences.

Gonna need a big day from our backs, Bake is going need to make some throws. I wish we had Chubb for this one.

Score more point than we give up.

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

- no turnovers, sacks, or big plays for them on defense
- zone coverage w/their young receivers. Take the crossing routes out of the equation.
- Squeeze Ben into the pocket
- Pray

Stop Claypool.

They literally have no one else.

Juju and Connor are the very definition of average.

Baker rolling right.... lol.
How man times can I screw that up? I’m the Brandon Weeden of DTers.

How is their secondary doing, and in what ways could we exploit Pitt in the air?

Joe Haden has to be losing a step by now. They have Minkah Fitzpatrick back there, too. I don't know much about their other guys.

They're stacked at DLine and LBer, though.Cam Heywar, Bud Dupree, TJ Watt, & Devin Bush.

Basically, they have enough premier talent at each level that regular guys are going to be better.

It's going to be a tough one to crack, but I think we can handle it.

Hunt has to hurt them. BM needs to have himself a great day in the air. MG has to move Ben, a strip sack or two would help. Stefanski better self-scout what has worked vs, blitz thus far. Keep Keenum warm.

This one will be won or lost in the trenches. Getting to Ben early and often will be key as he is getting passes off in 2.26 seconds on average. But if we can run well against them we can keep him on the sidelines most of the game. Baker will need to tighten up his throws because the steelers will catch those deflected passes and the bounces off the receivers hands. AND the WRs need to catch everything this week.

Smack them in the mouth.. Smack them in the mouth again... and again and again. To win I think we have to execute well AND out physical them.

Not to change the subject, but, is anyone concerned about a revenge factor by the steelers against Myles?

It's just something that has crossed my mind a time or forty so far this week.

We know the steelers and how they play. I'm just concerned about a revenge thing. I read what the steelers coach said about how great Myles has been playing, and blah blah blah.............I'm just concerned some cheap shots might come his way.

I'm sure the league, and the officials, will be looking for it.

Browns win by playing opportunistic football.

Pressure the other quarterback into making mistakes,

Defensive line pressure to force fumbles,

Run the ball up and down the field, get the ball to the playmakers,
Odell,
Hunt
Jarvis
Tight ends

Take advantage of opportunities and play sound football.

Roll with the punches, overlook anything good the other team does,

The Browns have scored 24 points in one quarter already once this season, they could do it again.

If the Browns get a lead and it starts to crumble?
No worries, the Browns can score some more to add on.

Just play football, you can play with these guys, and play Browns Football,
Play your game first!

And don't forget.

RUN THE DANG BALL flamingmad flamingmad flamingmad

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

It's come across my mind, but I have a feeling the league wants to drop the issue altogether.

I don't buy for a minute they didn't have the audio or that the audio proves Mason was innocent. I'm sure the audio is as Myles says and the NFL doesn't want the PR nightmare about the language being used as a rampant problem.

I'm quite certain Myles hearing this language isn't an isolated occurrence on the playing field and this is why we haven't heard anything since February on the matter.

Kosar's teams always seemed to know how to win against the steelers.

Personaly I think they are the dirtiest, most dangerous team in the NFL and some of their past tatics lead me to wish the franchise would have been kicked out of the NFL

The Steelers injure people on purpose, I think there is a former playoff game against Cincinnati that proves this.

I wouldn't be surprised if they practiced letting Myles Garrett into the backfield and an O lineman practice pulling the D lineman backwards so they can both fall backwards rolling up on where Myles will be when he gets around the edge.

Maybe the answere is to not even rush around the edge, but rather have the DE's hold the outside and delay a blitz right up the middle.

To win, we need to be the bully to the bully.
Smack them in the mouth. Laugh in their face and smack them again. And again. And again. Break their will to fight and don't give them even a glimmer of hope that they can get back in it.

It is a shame that Chubb is out.

On defense the Steelers run a gap penetration 3-4. They love to bring pressure from different angles. They try to confuse the OL and get that inside step. The Browns will continue to use motion.

I would like to see Hunt used as a receiver more in this game. Get him in behind their inside linebackers. Use him Hunt in screens. Match him up on linebackers.

IMO we will have shots downfield. We can go against their secondary and should have some success.

On defense. The Steelers use a bunch of screens. We must be ready for that. Our linebackers need to read and react. Ben has not been all that hot on deep routes. But has been deadly on intermediate routes. We will need the safety's to play better.

They know Myles is coming and they will scheme for that.
Vernon needs a good game. Our inside tackles have to hold gap coverage against the run. Again be screen aware.

KS has been very vocal about winning the turnover battle. We can not turn it over. Ben can hold it long at times and strip sack opportunities could be there. Myles will get his shots but Vernon will have more chances.

The Steelers are well coached and disciplined. We have to be as well.

In order to win we have to play mistake free. Don't give them extra chances. Don't hurt yourself with penalties.
Take advantage of field position.

The Browns have been playing and winning by being sound and balanced. They have been opportunistic in the turnover game.

Continue to improve and play our game.

Hard as it is to believe, we are actually scoring more points/game than the Steelers. We have scored 30+ points in 4 straight games. Keep up the scoring ..... and keep up the defensive turnovers, (especially when they are scores for us) On offense, don't go into a shell if we get a lead. Keep pouring it on.

Oh, and on kickoffs ..... kick the darn ball out of the end zone!!!

commit to the run early, use PA and screens to hurt their front 7 aggressiveness and get OBJ involved early. On defense, blitz the bejeezus out of an old Ben. Hurt him enough they have to play rudolph, then replicate last years game, minus the helmet wack-a-mole

We win by using the same winning formula we've used all year:

Run the ball, and win the turnover battle.

It's a simple formula that has been shown to win games.

I noticed that after the return, we went back to that....lol

That high kick to the 1 only works if you can tackle the returner.

Looking at Pittsburgh's numbers, I don't see prolific, I see efficient. I think we have a similar game plan as this past week where we faced another efficient offense.

Defensively we can't be afraid to go after Big Ben and go after him bigly. Yes you run the risk that he'll burn you but if you look back to every time we did beat him, in every one of those games the DEF went after him relentlessly. If you can hit him a couple times early, he will become an INT machine. For me the 2 key players for us on DEF are going to be Myles and Denzel. If Myles can keep up the pressure and Denzel can play a lockdown game like we know he can, good things will happen for us.

Offensively? I have zero evidence and this is gut feeling only, but I feel like Stefanski game plans as much as a couple weeks out. Not that he had a specific play set for Pittsburgh before the we played the Colts, but aspects of this offensive we keep in reserve until we need it. For example the screen game. Between the RBs and WRs and an O-Line that can move? Whoever we play those cards against I think is in for long day.

It sounds obvious, but I think Baker is the key to the win. I expect that Pittsburgh believes it can sell out against the run and still have enough talent to defend on the back end. Baker is going to have to challenge them and make some throws early. If Pittsburgh has to take him seriously it'll loosen them up a bit and at that point I think we can kill 'em with some well timed screens.

If there are cheap shots, I don't think it'll have much to do with 'revenge'. I think it'll be more reflective of their long standing tradition of trying to take out key opponents early.

If I'm concerned about anything, its the refs. Someone else mentioned on another thread that it seems like this year the refs have realized and gotten use to just how ridiculously quick Myles is off the snap and that could be why we haven't seen him hit with offsides penalties. I'm afraid that they might hit him with a couple offsides in order to keep him in check and from being too aggressive.
