6-3 is good

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Our ground game is back!!!

Chubb and hunt really heated up in the 2nd half!! Our defense did a great job limiting Watson!

Due to the weather delay, I missed the first half cause I took a nap, but I’m glad I woke up in time to see the best Running back duo in football!!

That's all there was in the Game Day thread. willynilly

Stefanski wasn't perfect but he got the job done.
I thought the whole D did very well.
Collectively a good offensive performance.

6-3 feels good. I really, really, really hope we are saying 8-3 in 2 weeks time.

- Initial reaction, I want to vomit. Had the Browns -4 and Chubb steps out at the one.

- All in all, a pretty boring game.

- Having Chubb and Teller back made the difference.

- Chubb makes Hunt better.

- Mayfield made some plays when he had to. Neither QB could pass well in that wind.

- Several stupid penalties.

- Won a game we had to have. Browns are 6-3.

- Build a dome.

Teller played today.

iirc: Hubbard was going to be out.

actually, now mention it,

Sure felt like the Browns got away with , something on that last big run, the run by Chubb.

The Browns player ended up on top of the defenders back just about the line of scrimmage as Chubb turned the corner.
So, holding or block in the back.

edit: it was a skinny player, too small to be a lineman or even the TE from what I think I saw, I'm not accusing the OL of the penalty,
maybe it was incidential, not sure how it happened, but I thought it was probably coming back, up till he stepped out of bounds on the 1,
I haven't seen that before.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

A play I think will get overlooked was that PI call on Higgins. That was such a high IQ play by Bake. He know Houston was going to be aggressive, especially with the playclock running down to 1 second.

He threw his finger up to Stefanski to tell him not to call the TO then immediately hard count with between 1 and 2 seconds left and got Houston to jump offsides for the free play. Even without the PI, that would have got us a first down on 3rd and 4. Used Houston’s aggression and the clock to his advantage.

Amen. No team has an advantage in extreme wind. And it's questionable there's any advantage in extreme cold.

This is an important point. Baker couldn't throw in the wind. Watson also struggled with it.

Baker was pretty pedestrian. Missed a couple of easy 1st down conversions that should have been pitch and catch. That's not winning football. That's football that makes you ask if the guy is just destined to be an average player.

On the flip side he has a penchant for making 3rd and long conversions like no other QB in the league. The one to Higgins was winning football.

He's a frustrating player right now.

So they could just take a knee and win. Gave the Texans zero chance of a miracle.

Very smart play by Chubb.

We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

Overall, the teams did their jobs. Very few penalties. D held Deshaun to a single score. O scored a clutch TD. Teams in general looked well-coached. O-line looks like it's returning to form. Baker didn't hurt us, made some nice plays, some smart throw-aways. But we are blessed to have Garret, Chubb, and Hunt. All three had key plays that directly affected the outcome. So good to have Chubb back. Good win. 6-3 GO BROWNS!

Because there was 56 seconds left. A quick TD and a onside recovery - they can still win.

Didn't the Browns give up 3 TDs in under 4 or 5 minutes to the Bears one year (under Butch?)? ... two kneel downs and it was an unwinnable game by Houston.

Baker looked better than Watson today. We can win with him as long as we have Chubb Teller Janovic and Hunt.

It eliminated any possibility that Houston could have any kind of miraculous score/onside kick/score.

We just took a knee twice, and the game was over.

smartest play of the game.

Gurley scored 2 weeks and cost ATL the game.

Player of the Game,! ONE PLAYER!

Game ball, Kareem Hunt! Earned it, IMO.

The first first down of that final drive,
were 3 runs to Hunt,
The 4th run to Hunt was a big gain,

Quarter for Quarter, all day, and going the extra effort,

I think Kareem Hunt really helped them, took the lion share of the win today!

It was midway through the 3rd before I was even sure if Chubb was going to play.

Ya Chubb got the Big run in the end, and Hooper, Peoples Jones, Higgins,
but I'm watching Hunt put in the work, and if they don't get those first downs to run the clock,
then the Games still going on.

Also.
RAC's team played the classic meltdown game today, that we are so used to watching.

Yeah. That could never happen to the Browns.

Both QBs struggled with the wind. Most of us knew the weather would be a big factor today. Love that Chubb is back. The combination of Chubb and Hunt is so sweet.

I absolutely agree with everything you said. Of course, taking one yard off your rushing total doesn't affect your season total really. And backs are usually remembered for yards, not td's.

The Falcons were losing by two. We would have been up by ten.

It doesn't matter. The game is over either way. I am just curious as to why he did it.
