Rams at Bears is a good game IMO
I work a lot now, so I don't get much time to watch football anymore. However, I just finished watching the Chargers/Steelers game and what a great freakin' game! I LOVE watching the Steelers lose and lose they did. Great ending too - 3 offsides the last 3 plays by the Steelers.
Would love to see Oakland punk the Steelers in Oakland. Then they have NO and NE back to back.
Tonight' game ...Titans Jags .. the one I look forward to the least all year lol
Wow .... that’s staying a lot ... theres been a ton of stinkers this year ... and this is another one ..
There have been. I don't know of two teams I find more boring than TEN and JAX tho
Wow .... that’s staying a lot ... theres been a ton of stinkers this year ... and this is another one ..
It never is a stinker when you can play a Single Game contest on FanDuel. Makes the game very interesting.
That made me *LOL* ...
I still suck at those .... no signs of improvement ... thats the part i really dont like ...
I personally think the Single Game plays are the easiest to win.
Lol man that was one ugly ass interception by Mariota.
Wide open WR, and he throws it over his head, straight into a defenders hands.
Yep.
He's a nice guy and a good athlete. However, he is inaccurate and his reads are questionable.
Cody looks like hes lobbing the ball .... hes the nfl’s version of a slow pitch pitcher, his throws all have an arc to them ... *L* ...
Kessler just got somebody killed
Dumbass Titan gave up a safety!
Lol, dude muffed a punt, then got tackled in the endZone for a safety.
This game is a circus
that was one of the dumbest safeties you'll see
That was funny as hell is what that was ...
...
Nice return .... *L* ...
LOL. I just spit up my drink.
I'm pulling for Kessler. Would like to see him do well.
Aye my boy Cody making some money throws!
How bad are the Titans if Kessler can move the ball on them?
How bad are the Titans if Kessler can move the ball on them?
Kessler looking good.
Cody has some moments as a rookie for us though.
But he almost pulled a Mariota with such a horrible throw with a wide open receiver.
Cody has some moments as a rookie for us though.
He lived up to the hype and over-threw the receiver.
No way Kessler should have missed that throw.
Wow, just terrible.
Terrible.
How come all the Alabama running backs turns out good...
Except the one we drafted?
Jags have totally given up on the season.
That was a fun run to watch!
It seems like every night game lately there is a 90+ yard TD run.
Do they practice tackling?
Does anyone know why it's okay for a RB to grab a tackler's face mask?
Does anyone know why it's okay for a RB to grab a tackler's face mask?
It’s not
Because the officiating is at an all time low.
I think it's a serious problem. I know alot of fans that have been turned off by it.
Let me rephrase it.
Does anyone know why they rarely call a face mask penalty on RBs?
Kessler showing some decent pocket awareness.
We need Jacksonville to win this one to help our chances right?
j/c:
Man, some of these RBs today!!! I look at guys like Henry and Fournette and I am just amazed.
I was a pretty decent back, but these dudes would dwarf me and are probably just as fast. It's amazing.
Btw.......Fox's pregame and halftime shows w/Strahan, Bradshaw, and Howie are both putrid.
This officiating is just obscenely bad.
Aikman ignoring every bad call is super annoying.
Kessler will never convert 3rd and long.
I want Tennessee to win, but man, what a BS holding call on Flowers. And then Mike P comes on and says the league wants more holding calls. Troy Aikman rightfully compares it to wanting more speeding tickets at certain times of the month and how he doesn't like this. I totally agree. That's BS!
For a guy that ran his mouth so much, Ramsey is pretty bad.
Thank goodness I took D.Henry in the single game daily fantasy contest.
Remember all the arguments about how Cody Kessler was better than Wentz? LOL
Jacksonville really stinks now. That was a drastic and immediate dropoff for them.
Jags have quit on their coach and one another.
Yeah, they look like they don't even care anymore.
Wow
CAR YDS AVG TD LONG
Derrick Henry 11 219 19.9 4 99
Wow
CAR YDS AVG TD LONG
Derrick Henry 11 219 19.9 4 99
That might’ve been the “Doug Marrone is getting fired” game.
that run .. and game ... by Henry was incredible
Let me rephrase it.
Does anyone know why they rarely call a face mask penalty on RBs?
ANGLE or FOCUS ...
U prolly know this ... or at least the likeleyhood is greater than most of the rest of the board as you may have had this explained to u before ... although during a game theres not a shot inheck i’m Giving this explanation to a coach ... not a shot in heck .. not even if it was one of my good buds ... *L* ... in that moment .. not the way to go ... u gotta trust me on that one .. *L* ...
Anyhow ... on a lot of tackles there may only be one pair of eyes on the actual tackle ... two frequently and every once in awhile three will have eyes on it ...
The first problem is being “straight lined” is the technical officating term ... *LOL* .... its true ... no idea why i think thats funny .. u can’t see through someone .. and many times the way the play unfolds and when its contact time u may have NO ANGLE and simply can’t see it ...
Obviously the more eyes u have on a play the better shot u have of having a better angle ...
Each official has there own calling area ... like the back judge ... NO ONE is suppose to get behind him ... PERIOD ... so he always responsible for the dudes the furthest down the field on a play .. and u NEVER EVER EVER take your eyes off your calling area unless there’s a play on the sidelines and guys go out of bounds ... that and fights are the only two exceptions ... PERIOD ....
If u MAKE a call outside your calling area your going to take a major ding ... MAJOR .. cause it means u went “out of your area” witch means u didnt have the best look (unless angle dictates u did ... thats not gonna bail u out on that one) AND no one has eyes on your area ... thats not good on any level ... dont miss a call out of your area ... your post season is DONE right them and there ...
2nd is FOCUS ... wish I could explain things as good as u and some others ... this is gonna be way to wordy .. *L* ... sorry bout that ...
Hmmmm ... lets try this ... when u see a flag and the announcer says face mask and doesnt say on who ... your eyes go right to the runners mask ... then u dont see it so u go look at the defenders mask area .... most of the time when that happens I miss it cause it happens so fast ...
Same concept as an official ... when u watch the contact as an official ... its the same concept as a block/charge in hoops ... when the dude starts driving .. a hoops official watches the defenders for their position and picks up the driver as his main focus almost when the collision happens ... he has all re3ady established the defenders legal surging position ....
Sounds easy right ... *LOL* ... not so much ... it’s HARD as HECK ... its why so many are missed ... if u focus on the defender your odds of getting it right increase 50 fold ...
on that play the DEFENDER IS THE KEY ... in football its not that rigid ... but its what happens ...
same concept...
The officials focus on the defender and what he’s doing to the runner not the other way around ... hence why offensive face masks are missed so frequently ...
Thats another call the new rules have nothing to do with .... it has more to do with how your brain works and where your eyes “take u” ...
Sometimes i’m Not very good at explaining things .. i hope this isn’t one of those times .. *L* .. hopefully U can understand it the way i mean it to be understood ....
If u have any questions please ask ...
Hopes that helps .. thanks for asking a question ... maybe for once i wont get ripped for shedding some light on something most on here have zero clue about and have no desire to be educated on ... they’d rather just act like drunken fans who only want someone to scream at as opposed to actually earn something from someone who has been there and done that ...
Remember all the arguments about how Cody Kessler was better than Wentz? LOL
Not really. I don't remember anyone suggesting Kessler was better than Wentz???
Was fun to watch such a dominant run game last night. I think that's more a reflection on Mariota than anything else - I thought Mariota was going to be so much better than he is when he came out of college.
Jags have quit on their coach and one another.
I don't think I have ever seen an NFL defense with less interest in tackling the ball carrier. Those "professionals" should be embarrassed. National game, and they looked afraid of contact.
The jags defense definitely quit and there’s no excuse for that.
But maybe the front office should’ve did their jobs and got a QB worth a damn. They decided to roll with bortles KNOWING that not one player believed in him.
Thanks for the explanation, Diam.
Cody Kessler man, wow his arm is a limp noodle.
Has Jacksonville's window already closed?
My pleasure sir ... and no ones ripped me yet ... woooohooo ... *L* ...
Well .. i only read to this post .. so maybe thats a bit pre-mature ...
Kessler is just no threat down the field. Just like here. They'll be drafting a QB
Has Jacksonville's window already closed?
Yup.
In my fantasy league Derrick Henry put up 52 points Thursday night. In ESPN leagues he's 57% owned with 15% of those owners starting him. In other words, 42% of ESPN fantasy football owners were punching themselves in the face Friday morning.

Let's hope they don't miss as big as they did on Thursday night.
I like Cody but let's face it, he always had backup written all over him from when he was drafted. I don't know what Hue saw in him.
Yeah, I actually think Kessler will be in the league a long time
Cody is a lot like Colt McCoy. He's a smart kid, he has some ability, (accuracy in the case of Kessler) but his limitations will allow him to progress no further, realistically, than being a good backup.
agreed. i wouldn't mind him as our backup to be honest. by all accounts he's smart, a good dude, etc.
I love pulling for our old guys. Players who are good dudes that just didn't work here. But I wouldn't want either McCoy or Kessler as my backup. Job requisite #1 for backup QB...hope you don't start many games but win the games you do start.
Yeah, I'll pull for guys like McCoy or Kessler too
Is he Regis Philbin’s brother?
ROUGHT RO ... not sure what happenend but Tyreek Hill may not be going back in that game ...
If THEY LOSE HIM ... they take a HUGE HIT in there SB aspirations ...
Rats just went 75 yards on 8 plays ...
ALL RUNS ... *L*
Are u kidding me ...
Dude wasnt on the team on Nov 18th ... there other qb was signed this week ...
This dude. MORON ...
Dude wasnt on the team on Nov 18th ... there other qb was signed this week ...
They said they signed Sanchez because he knew the scheme.
Man oh man! That's awesome!
and washington is getting pelted
Saints getting schooled by TB.
What does everyone else make of Josh Allen? I have no clue what to think of him.
What does everyone else make of Josh Allen? I have no clue what to think of him.
Major upside. Showing glimpses.
josh allen has 7 carries for 87 yards and a TD.
wowzers
mahomes has like three plays a game that are just crazy
is Dan Quinn toast or what?
ugh he fumbled in the closing seconds. too bad.
lol the dolphins seem to always beat the pats in miami
lol the dolphins seem to always beat the pats in miami
That play was all the way ridiculous.
Wow, upsets, Colts, Jets & Miami and KC pulls it out
kc and balt are still playing
Oh, thought they won it with the FG. Wish they'd cut to it but they're showing Cincy here.
its cool they are gonna lose anyway.
but cowboys fumbled on the kickoff. yikes
Ya’all seethe end of the pats game ... oh my ...
KC with a 3 point lead, Rats have the ball, 4 and 27, ball at the Rats 40. RG3 in the game.
yep. i dunno who im rooting for.
eagles have a tougher road to win the division even if they win this game today. they're schedule is way harder than dallas
KC wins, turn over on down. Game over.
yep. i dunno who im rooting for.
eagles have a tougher road to win the division even if they win this game today. they're schedule is way harder than dallas
I guess I have to root for Philly. Can't root for Dallas, don't like Philly, but I do like Pederson & Wentz.
i like Wentz too. hopefully he's back in full form next season
KC wins, turn over on down. Game over.
I think that was PI on KC. Maybe the ref swallowed the whistle because it was OT and 4th and 22, but he hooked him early. Not like I wanted Bmore to win, but they kind of got robbed.
Amazing I bet Bill is beside himself
OMG, those hardly ever work. Thanks for sharing.
I figured I’d spare U the conflict of deciding weather u wanna read my grammar and spelling error filled post ... *L* ...
Much appreciated. One picture is worth a thousand butchered words.
Amazing I bet Bill is beside himself
Wow!
I'm a Raiders fan for the rest of the day
How much Advil? ...
...
Love the way the Pats lost!! They took a page from some of our past heart braking losses. Can't wait to hear all the crying on the local talk shows!!!
San Fran lighting up Denver.
If the Chargers beat the Bengals the Browns are officially out of the cellar in the AFC North.
Hard to even consider Pit losing - Oakland are woeful. But I can hope and say a little prayer to the football gods, I may even go sacrifice a goat.
that miami game was crazy
Denver is sleepwalking thus far .. hopefully next week too
Has cincy won since Hue showed up?
i doubt it lasts, but its crazy the steelers start so slowly on the road
Hard to imagine the luckiest team in football losing to the Raiders, but one can hope.
Has cincy won since Hue showed up?
No, but the losing started before he got there. They have a lot of injuries, and their QB is out for the season.
17-12 Chargers at the half.
Dude just hit a 59 yard fg that would have been good from 70
i doubt it lasts, but its crazy the steelers start so slowly on the road
Steelers will probably score before the half.
"B.Roethlisberger pass incomplete short middle to J.Smith-Schuster. The Replay Official reviewed the incomplete pass ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) B.Roethlisberger pass short middle to J.Smith-Schuster for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN."
Luckiest team in Football. 14-10 halftime
Wow, cowboys kicker just nailed a 62 yarder.
i swear, pittsburgh has more calls overturned for their favor than anyone
Rothlisberger out. Questionable to return. Ribs. But we've seen this charade before.
i swear, pittsburgh has more calls overturned for their favor than anyone
Just saw the video, it was and amazing catch. Ju-Ju is the real deal. Hard as it is to admit.
Dallas 9-6. Missed extra point by Philly.
Rosen just tossed a pick 6 and the Lions lead 10 - 0
I could easily see Oakland moving on from Carr
Rosen just tossed a pick 6 and the Lions lead 10 - 0
But I bet he was calm and looked impressive doing that....
Me too. And I wouldn't be surprised if he did well elsewhere. He looks like he needs a fresh opportunity somewhere. He'd be great for someone like the Giants who could use him as a bridge to a rookie.
Yeah it’s obvious there’s not a good working relationship with gruden and I can’t see gruden sitting at the top of the draft and not taking a qb
Cincy driving, could tie it up. 2:40 to go.
But dang if Carr didn't just miss a wide open WR for a 1st down
Philly tied it up 9-9 12:11 to go.
Cincy needs 2 pt conversion to tie. Didn't get it.
HOT DANG ! I'd forgotten what the fk it's like to watch other games and know that if AFC North teams lose it might, just might, mean the Browns have a shot ...... it feels freaking great !
Houston didn't do us any favors today losing to Indy.
Oakland, first and goal on Pit 2.
Oakland, first and goal on Pit 2.
Now 2nd and goal at the 3.
Its a final!!!!
Chargers 26
Bengals 21
The Bengals lose. The Browns are no longer in last place.
20-14 49ers with 3:53 to go.
big ben back in lol what do you know
Hope that bum gets picked off. Sounded like a fake injury.
I’d bet Dallas drives the last 3 minutes for a FG to win.
...or a 75-yard TD IN 10 seconds. Haha.
The boys left them too much time.
One of the worst calls in nfl history just happened in Dallas game
Yeah, no offensive PI & the roughing the passer.
Terrible call in the Dallas game. Offensive PI wiped out a TD for the Eagles
Refs are ruining this Cowboys v Eagles game. Just awful calls on that last drive.
Goodell wants Dallas in the playoffs
...or a 75-yard TD IN 10 seconds. Haha.
How in the world did Oakland trade away Amari Cooper?
Oakland, 4th and goal at PIT 6 yard line. If they score a TD they win the game.
OMG, TOUCHDOWN OAKLAND!!!!!!
Touchdown Raiders!!!! 21 sec left on 4th and 6.
Nice I’m sure Oakland winning threw off Pittsburgh brackets
So then every single team in the division lost today except us!
Oakland overcame some questionable calls and out played the Steelers all game.....good for them (and us in this case).
24-21 Raiders with :21 to go.
Well so much for Pittsburgh losing. What a play. Thank god they missed
Game over, time expires. Oakland wins!
Game over, time expires. Oakland wins!
HELL YEAH!!!
Looks like Dallas is going to win
I love seeing the steelers lose!
Wait a minute. Dallas decided to self destruct
Overtime for the eagles and the boys.
The Steelers losing was like icing on the cake today. Ravens lost, and Cincy lost. It feels like a holiday
49ers beat the Donks 20-14
With the Pats and Saints the next two weeks for the steelers, pittsburgh could be 7-7-1 going into week 17. We could have the same record too.
It’s possible.
With the Pats and Saints the next two weeks, pittsburgh could be 7-7-1 going into week 17, is too.
The refs will never allow that.
Dallas would be SOL without Cooper. He singlehandedly turned their season around.

The refs will never allow that.
Assuming you believe in conspiracies, the Pats won’t lose two in a row. Plus, the Saints and Brees are media darlings fighting to keep home field.
You never know.
I’m just happy we have a shot.
I believe in realities. The steelers get a lot more calls than they don’t. Whether it’s a conspiracy or a prejudice is up to the individual.
Cowboys win off a deflection!
Cooper would have looked great opposite landry
Carrie Underwood is a nice looking woman.
Great. Now I have to watch skip bayless run his mouth tomorrow
Great. Now I have to watch skip bayless run his mouth tomorrow
Dallas would be SOL without Cooper. He singlehandedly turned their season around.
I thought that Dallas was nuts for giving up a 1st .... but he sure looks worth it right now.
Great. Now I have to watch skip bayless run his mouth tomorrow
Just say "no"!
i can't believe the Steelers lost LIKE THAT .. they usually win games like that
and when's the last time we won and the 3 others North teams lost?
Great. Now I have to watch skip bayless run his mouth tomorrow
Skip is great. He loves Baker.
If you want to have some fun, go read the Steeler's message board.
Man we need The kind of LBs Chicago and Dallas have.
Mitch. That was terrible.
j/c...
Dante Fowler having a nice game tonight. Rams made lemonade out of a lemon with that trade.
This game in Chicago is fun, old -fashion D, December cold.
I didn't know Taylor Gabriel was a Bear now.
I didn't know Taylor Gabriel was a Bear now.
Signed a 4yr/$26M deal w/ $14M guaranteed with the Bears the past offseason.
j/c:
I didn't get to see as much of the early games as usual, because I had our game on delay for awhile. With that said...
--Glad I took the Giants' D in 3 DFS leagues. Sanchez stinks.
--Barkley is the real deal as 3-down RB.
--The KC/Balt game was pretty awesome. Mahommes is probably playing the best qb in the entire league. That's pretty amazing for a second year guy.
--Lamar is good, but it's going to be hard to win in the playoffs when your team is so one-dimensional.
--New England blew it by setting up a dumb coverage at the end of the game. Why have Gronk back there. Miami couldn't have thrown a Hail Mary and Gronk has a bad wheels. Stupid. But, it was exciting.
--I thought Dallas overpaid for Cooper, but he is making a huge difference for the 'Boys.
--Zeke is the best RB in the league in my mind. But, Barkley and and Gurley are right there, too.
--LA really struggled w/Cinci. Why? They should have killed them. I want to get on the Charger's train, but they seem to be their own worst enemy at times.
--How does Denver get down 20 to 0 in the first half to a depleted SF team?
--The officiating in the Dallas/Philly game was nauseating.
--Both qbs are sucking ass in the Rams/Bears game.
bro did you see some of those passes mahomes threw?
i thought rodgers was doing crazy stuff with the ball. mahomes is out here breaking the laws of physics!
That play he made where he whipped his arm to a completely different release point to the left, after appearing to have decided to go right, was just amazing. It was almost inhuman. lol
good thing for trubisky he has a legit defense to atone for his gaffs
I didn't see a ton of the game, but that was the main game I switched to when we were at commercial...........and man!!! He made one throw where he rolled to his right, threw against his body, and completed it to Hill. I thought for sure it would be picked, but he squeezed it in there. Amazing!
He's probably going to be the MVP!
That play he made where he whipped his arm to a completely different release point to the left, after appearing to have decided to go right, was just amazing. It was almost inhuman. lol
Looked like Jose Ramirez turning a double play.
Rams better hope they secure home-field advantage in the playoffs, because Goff sitting on the bench w/a jacket and then playing "stiff" will be a huge problem if they have to travel to a cold weather city in the playoffs.
Dude, you get colder if you aren't moving.
i love it when an o lineman scores!
LOL.................loved his dance.
yea, Mack was definitely worth 2 first rounders. man this guy is unstoppable
yea, Mack was definitely worth 2 first rounders. man this guy is unstoppable
These Bears are for real. And I see us in their footsteps next year, which is exciting.
mitch trubisky.
is really terrible.
and goff says hold my beer
Interceptions for everyone!
bro, the defense isn't even playing complex schemes.
the QB's are just out here playing like hot garbage.
The qbs are playing like garbage. Freaking Goff sitting on the bench w/his jacket on and toboggan cap is annoying. Get the f... up and show some damn life!
Trub isn't all that good, but the shoulder could be an issue. I noticed all the high throws Cam had today w/the shoulder. Looked like he was catapulting it. Hard to throw w/a bad shoulder.
About time the Rams quit screwing around and gave the ball to Gurley but it's probably too late.
i told everybody on this board that deshaun Watson was better than Trubisky.
where's bone at.
Chicago D is straight up nasty.
Watson is way better than Trubisky. I actually don't think Trubisky is very good. Even Collinsworth was calling him a one read QB on the broadcast.
All of a sudden Rams and KC look vulnerable.
Playoffs should be fun.
Goff looks like garbage tonight. I know Chi has a good D, but he looks off tonight. Happy Trubisky isn’t our QB!
I think Jeff Fisher must have been coaching Goff tonight. What a putrid performance.
Trubisky has a slowish windup.
Chicago and LA was a defensive turnover fest ... so much for both coaches being the offensive gurus
--New England blew it by setting up a dumb coverage at the end of the game. Why have Gronk back there. Miami couldn't have thrown a Hail Mary and Gronk has a bad wheels. Stupid. But, it was exciting.
All good points you made Vers, as usual. But this one sticks out in my mind. This was a stupid move. Why not get someone who can move back there? Gordon? Dion Lewis? Isn't Cordelle Patterson on NE now?
They lost because their last line of defense was a large, plodding, lumbering TE. I think he was back there so that the mythology of Gronk could get another tale. Stupid choice, they deserved to lose.
Yeah, i didnt get why gronk was back there?? they certainly have better options

Next thing you know, Gronk will drop kick an extra point, a la Doug Flutie.
Maybe Gronk was back there in case it was a hail Mary?
Maybe Gronk was back there in case it was a hail Mary?
He was .. Tannehill has an arm problem .. he couldn't make a throw to the end zone.
I believe the Dolphins were 68 or 69 yards away from the end zone. Factor in that the qb has to drop back, there would be no way that Tannehill could make that throw. Hell, I don't know if anyone is going to throw it over 80 yards in the air in a live game.
Also, Cap made a good point. Even if you thought that they would try a Hail Mary, Gordon or Patterson would have been much better choices.
It was a really dumb decision by the Pats. But, I loved it. LOL
The Rams have always had trouble winning in cold weather especially in the playoffs and I'm going back to the late 60's. They showed it again last night. Another team that's similar is the Chargers. If either has to play in cold/bad weather I doubt they will make the SB.
It was a dumb decision but I enjoyed it too. It's not because I dislike the Pats I just enjoy listening to all the crying and complaining about them on local sports radio being that I live in Pats country. They couldn't say enough about the Kareem Hunt story when it broke because they felt it weakened the Pats toughest opponent to the #1 seed and the SB. Well we'll see what happens. Time will tell.
I agree. The only saving grace for the Rams is that they have a 2 game lead on Chicago and the other probable NFC teams play in domed stadiums. Seattle doesn't, but they are 3 full games behind the Rams.
The AFC is a different story. If the Chargers lose to KC next week, they will almost certainly have to play in cold weather playoff games. If they beat the Chiefs, things could get very interesting.
J/C
Am I may have missed it, but anyone else notice the Stoolers losing in the most Browns Fashion yesterday? God that was great!
strange that we both had such awful losses at the same place
Watching Gronk try and chase him down was HYSTERICAL ... i LMAO and re-wound it like 10 times ...
What a dumb ass move ... that was funny ...
Trubisky has a slowish windup.
Locks onto his primary read too.
I know this should be more or so on the upcoming Broncos thread...
But Bradley Chubb broke Von Millers rc record yesterday and now has 12 sacks...
Von looked really active too...
We have to jump out to a nice lead, to lower their usage of Lindsay at RB...as they were in catch up mode and Royce actually outgained Lindsay
LOL.
So funny. So true.
Pretty good example of two different types of people/coaches.
So, who would y’all rather have.
Russell Wilson, or Kirk Cousins? Monday night matchup.
I played a Single Game DFF contest for tonight's game. I prefer Wilson because Seattle is at home and that team is on a roll. I also think he is more "clutch" than Cousins.
He costs more than Cousins and I'm having a hard time making a lineup work.
I will say this is a big game for both teams. Lose and you might be done. Win and things are looking pretty good. Weather shouldn't be too much of a factor. 13% chance of rain at kickoff. Mid 40s for the temp. Winds around 6-8 MPH.
You know the Seattle crowd will be going crazy.
Wilson - all day, every day.
Yea, Wilson at home. He’s definitely clutch too. And for some reason, cousins isn’t doing what I thought he would do on the Vikings.
I like Cousins and Wilson. I like Cousins more as I like Diggs and Thielen better than anyone on the Seahawks roster.
Seahawks look like Minions.
Seahawks defense is swarming
Yep. The biggest weakness for Minni is their OL.
Bobby Wagner is one of the very best defensive players in all of football. He's very underrated by the media and many fans.
LOL...............so, he just gets a 15 yard penalty.
They invented a flag there. Grabbing the opening? Never heard that one.
What is Wilson doing? Man some of the QB play this week has been asstastic.
i love seeing fat guys have the ball lol
What is Wilson doing? Man some of the QB play this week has been asstastic.
Way to close out the first half, Russ.
That looked very 'Browns'(1999-2017.5) to me.
_______________
on a brighter note, ya know who
didn't exude suckitude?
Baker.
Baker Mayfield.
He once saw what suckitude looked like, and said: "I want to be the opposite of that."
Baker was not suck.
Not even a little.
What a run by Wilson. Man this dude just makes the plays when it’s needed most.
What a run by Wilson. Man this dude just makes the plays when it’s needed most.
Except that one time right before the half. . .

It wasn’t need the most at that time
Hard to deny that Russ is one of the most clutch players in the entire league.
Hard to deny that Russ is one of the most clutch players in the entire league.
Well you know who isn’t clutch? Kirk cousins.
I love it when a theme comes back around for a new treatment. The best composers use that technique all the time.
Was it just me, or was this an annoying game to watch? SEA had me mumbling beneath my breath the whole time. I really thought they might lose until that goal line stand. And even then, I wasn't convinced.
Game was uglier than a mud fence.
Yea this definitely was an ugly game.
I’m highly disappointed in the Vikings though. They were suppose to take the next step by signing Kirk cousins.
Looks like they might’ve been better off keeping Keenum.
Two very good defenses. I wouldn't sleep on Seattle in the playoffs. They are a team on the ascend. Teams who finish strong at the end of the regular season tend to do well in the playoffs.
I am not a fan of Cousins, but the Vike's OL is really bad. Look at our team and our qb getting all day to throw and then look at them and you see instant pressure. That's tough on a qb.
I agree, but signing a QB like cousins forces you to change how you play offense.
I mean you have Murray and cook as RBs. They should’ve got the ball way more, and cook had 4 yards a carry this game. They would’ve ran it more with Keenum.
True.
One thing to consider. They have Flip as their OC. Remember when he was here after replacing Shanny? Dude is pass happy. GM loved the dude. I did not. I remember him saying that if we don't gain positive yards on the first 2-3 carries, he would abandon the run.
I know he is pissing Zimmer off. LOL
Btw-----------did you guys see that shot of Janikowski bent over putting the ball on the tee to kick it off while wearing that hideous uniform?
LMAO..........that sight should not be permitted on national television.
Yea for sure lol. Zimmer loves old school football, like what the Seahawks play.
But still, that o line got bullied. Cousins stats as far as completion % is great, but once again he’s looking like a stat guy.
His numbers are about to look like his 2017 redskin season, with the lack of wins to match. Hate to say it cause I was hoping we make a run at cousins, but it looks like what people were saying about him is true.
Lol yea. They cut to the angles all the wrong times.
Last week I saw somebody digging for gold on the sidelines.
Last week I saw somebody digging for gold on the sidelines.
Thanks for the mental image- just before I head off to sleep.
Hats what I’m here for lol
Flip went from head coach candidate to might not have a job with the Vikings next year real quick.
In the first half Minni was dominated up front on both sides of the ball ... Zimm more than likely ripped his D a new butt nd made some adjustment so they only got dominated on one side of the ball in the 2nd half ...
They’ve had a lot of injuries along the OL .. there pretty bad right now ...
Seattle’s not the D u wanna go against with a weak OL .. there gonna make u pay and they pressured the heck out of Cousins all night and gave Cooks no where to run ...
Zimm and DeFelippo dont get along at all .. rthe announcers said u could feel the tension between them ... not a good situation ...
The seasons not gonna end well for Minni ... if Zimm get fired ... i’d Hire him the next day ... that dude knows D... hes a GREAT DC ...
Zimmer was the guy I wanted all along...hes a natural leader, players have always raved about him everywhere.
All the bitchin’ and moanin’ about paying Landry, imagine having paid Cousins. We’re doing good.
The NFC is strange ... ever week I think someone looks better/worse
I keep thinking Chicago will subside, but they don't
I keep thinking Philly, Minny and GB will show up ... but they don't

https://weei.radio.com/blogs/ryan-hannab...l-league-nobodyBill Belichick on OMF following loss to Dolphins: 'It’s the National Football League. Nobody died'Sunday was one of the most shocking losses in the Bill Belichick era when it comes to thinking the game is over one second, and then losing the next.
Miami scored a 69-yard touchdown on several laterals with seven seconds left to stun the Patriots.
This could potentially derail a team, so on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria Monday, Belichick was asked what his message to the team was after the game.
“Look, it’s the National Football League. Nobody died," he said. "Got a big game this week against Pittsburgh. We have a two-game lead in the division. There’s a lot of football left in the season. We’ll see how it goes.”
The game against the Steelers doesn't mean as much as it could have with them losing to the Raiders Sunday, which was their third straight loss. The Patriots are now 9-4, while the Steelers are 7-5-1.
It appears like it will come down to the Patriots and Texans for the No. 2 overall seed, but still, Sunday's meeting in Pittsburgh is still a big one.
“They hit the quarterback a lot," Belichick said. "I think they are right at the top of the league in sacks. They have gotten a lot of pressure from their front. Very explosive offensively. We’ve seen that. [James] Conner has had a great year for them. Not sure what exactly his status is, but I am sure anybody and everybody that can be ready to go in this game will be there — both teams. We’ll see how it goes, but certainly we have a lot of respect for Pittsburgh and they are strong in every area of the game. We’ll need to play well. Last year’s game came down to, same thing, final play. I am sure it will be tough out there like it always is.”
The Patriots have won five straight games over the Steelers and 12 out of the last 15.
I believe Belichick loves beating the Steelers. I think Bill will have his team ready to play. Go Pats!
There relationship just got better in that the tension will now be gone ... *LOL* ....

I'd rather keep Kitchens.
I'm soooo glad we didn't sign Cousins.
I'm soooo glad we didn't sign Cousins.
Well, the Vikes are currently a playoff team and their past two losses were both on the road to two playoff teams (Pats and Seachickens - two teams that are quite good in their own houses).
I think the Vikes have the Miami (home), Detroit (road) and Chicago (home). I like their chances with the Phins at home and the Lions and on the road. The Bears D could beat them up in week 17, but the division will already be cliched at that point so maybe the Bears will be resting starters, soooooo...the Vikes might be okay.
Meaning, they'll probably be in the playoffs, which is what they brought Cousins in to do (yeah, win a Super Bowl, but step 1 is playoffs and then who knows). Nobody can sign one player in the offseason and get "win the SB or else" pressure. There are too many games, players, variables and fluky plays to guarantee that kind of benchmark. Maybe for the GS Warriors, not an NFL team.
Cousins is 0-5 against teams with winning records this season.
and they lost to the bills.
And it's doubtful we would've drafted Baker.
Imagine the Vikings.
This team before the season start was supposed to be a Super Bowl team. Cousins was supposed to be the missing link. They go out and spend big for Cousins.
They were supposed to have all the pieces for a run.
They are 6-6-1. We are 5-7-1 from a team that did not win a game. Then forced to start a rookie QB. Then fires the head coach and OC.
Which team looks more promising today?
Last night was not Cousins fault ... the night before was not Goff’s fault ... my boy Mitch .. it was HIS FAULT ... all 3 played like crap ... IMO only one of the was culpable ...
Goff was under siege all night as has Cousins been ALL YEAR ...
I did not want Cousins ... but to blame him for whats going on in Minni is WRONG ... there OL was weak and they’ve had 2 or 3 starters out all year ....
Not sure why u put everything on the QB ... i expect that from the dolts ... not u ...
It’s not all on him, but I still expect a lot more from a fully guaranteed QB.
They changed the offense because they signed cousins. Under keenum they ran the ball a lot and killed the play action game. But now with cousins, it’s like you’re expected to pass because you paid this guy 80 mill to do exactly that.
Now they have Murray and cook rotting on the bench. I truly believe they’d have more wins with keenum right now.

Thats exactly true...For the most it is easier for Oline to run block vs pass block...Their Oline is amongst the worst...But somehow they don't use a bellcow in Murray and a healthy Cook to threaten teams...They hope Cousins can sail a great game with 50 pass attempts.
I'd have to disagree a bit on Goff. He was terrible the other night. Dude wanted no part of the cold.
I cant argue with that ... looked like he would have played in his parka if they’d would have let him .. *L* ..
There was a ton of dysfunction there also ... I think u guys are being way to hard on cousins .. and i’m no fan of his ....
Cousins getting paid the big bucks, people being hard on him is his burden to shoulder.
I truly believe they’d have more wins with keenum right now.
...or of the plugged Cousins into the same system they used for Keenum.
Gotta be able to run the ball.
I don't think Cousins is great, but I do think he is better than Keenum.
I think Minni's problems this year are:
1. OL is not playing well
2. Defense is not as dominant as last year
3. Flip relied on the pass too much
4. Cousins is not a superstar qb.
Unfortunately for the Bears they will need to go back west come playoff time.
But their D. Goodness. Wow.
Bill B knows this is a huge week .. they will not want to go on the road in the playoffs until the AFC title game
Cousins getting paid the big bucks, people being hard on him is his burden to shoulder.
$84 Million guaranteed for a 7-9 QB with 8 TDs & 5 INTs in his last 5 games. Vikes deserve what they get.
I remember that there were a LOT of folks around here that were ready to sell the farm for Cousins, lol... I am sooo glad that we didn't.
The Charger Chiefs game represents a contrast with their quarterbacks.
Rivers who I followed during college is a
unique quarterback.
Probably has one the weakest arms in the game. He has always pushed the ball. He is dependent upon timing not velocity. He releases the ball really early to compensate for a weak arm. But one should never assume the ball will not be accurate.
He can throw the long ball but puts lots of air under it. Never do you see a rope throw. But once again the ball will be on target.
He is a pocket quarterback. Extremely slow to get going and move. But he will move in the pocket.
Smart. You are not fooling Rivers. He will find the go to target. Leader. He is a driving force on the field. Controls the huddle and is like a coach on the field. He came that way out of college.
Then there is Mahomes. This guy does things I have never seen even attempted by anyone. I am going to try to find in archives my first take on Mahomes when he was in the draft.
People are gushing about him and rightfully so. This guy is an incredible athlete. Super arm. He can move and fire like nobody's business. Plays quarterback like a shortstop.
Different arm angles. Different arms. The play is never over with him. You watch him play a game and you are bound to see something you have never seen before.
The game played out almost to a script.
Great entertainment.
Love Bake ... THRILLED he’s ours ... couldnt be happier and more excited for the future ... with that said ...
I’d take Mahommes in a heartbeat over Bake ... dang that kid is incredible ...
Did u see the facial expression and lip sinc by Rivers reacting to one of Mahommes plays on he 1st or 2nd drive i believe it was ... it was PRICELESS ....
Went back in archives to 2017 and the draft.
So funny to read what people wrote about Mahomes now.
This is what I wrote:
"Mahomes is a contrast of talent. He has many things you look for as far as size and arm strength.
He displays characteristics that you like and don't like. He can put a throw right on the money and miss a throw that is a lay up.
But I like this guy. He is the type that could really thrive with the right coaching. Most of what he does wrong is correctable. What he does right comes from inside. This young man plays to win. In many ways he reminds me of Farve. He is undisciplined in his mechanics and footwork. But super confident in his ability to make plays. Love his competitive drive and leadership quality.
He will need time. Coming from the offense he played under and just where he is in development. It will require time to form his NFL game.
He is a good option for the Browns as a second rounder. He has the potential to be every bit as good as the top three ranked guys in this draft."
hey, what did you say about trubisky vs watson?
Most of the Board hated Mahomes.
Saw him as a fourth rounder. Most no interest in him.
hey, what did you say about trubisky vs watson?
We all know you wanted Trubisky over Watson and thought Watson was trash.
i mean bro, i forgot what everybody was saying about trub over watson. just wanted to refresh my memory, thats all.

You can’t change history.
Went back in archives to 2017 and the draft.
So funny to read what people wrote about Mahomes now.
Man, I was dead wrong about Mahomes. I said I couldn't understand all the love he was getting because I thought he was inaccurate.
That turned out be a very poor analysis.
This is what I found regarding those two guys.
"For the sake of argument let's say Garoppolo is not available.
Let's also say that no quarterback is taken 1 to 11 and we took Garrett at number one.
So here we are at 12 with the pick of the quarterback litter.
Forget any other position for the moment.
What quarterback do you want at number 12?
For me under those circumstances it comes down to Trubisky and Watson.
I have to go with Trubisky. The reasons are:
Although athletic and having displayed good movement in the pocket and shown that he can run. Trubisky is a pocket passer. He is a throw first guy.
He also is in my mind the most accurate guy in the draft. In addition he has shown that he can pick up secondary receivers. The whole thing about 12 starts is concerning but what can you do? He played well in 12 games. I think he would continue to play well if he played in more games.
Although there are many qualities about Watson that I like. The NFL has proven that pocket passers live to pass another day; running quarterbacks don't live to run another day.
Running is part of Watson's game. There is no way that all of a sudden he becomes a pocket passer only. If Cam Newton with his size can not stay on the field I doubt that Watson can.
Watson can throw the ball. He is also a leader. I do not want to undermine what he has done. He has had a terrific college career. And I would not say that he can not succeed in the NFL. But when it comes to accuracy. Trubisky is more accurate.
I could go through all the criteria that makes up a quarterback but for the sake of brevity this is it.
Trubisky fits the mold of guys who are successful in the NFL."
I was not going to mention names but that is why I like you.
You always own up to what you said.
In reading the archives tab hated him as well along with most.
that accuracy comment is funny. now i remember those convos.
I forgot about the Garoppolo stuff. Good grief.
You know I remember thinking Trent Richardson was the bomb.
That tape of him hitting the bag with a Browns guy behind it.
TR just looked like a sure thing. So powerful. Nobody is always right. Hell look at who the Browns have drafted.
With QB's I stand behind what I wrote at the time. There was no question about Watson as a leader. He played out of sight on the biggest stages.
But he was not a consistently accurate quarterback. And him running? Already a problem. He still takes way to many hits.
He is a good player and a good quarterback.
I wanted JG bad.
Still really like him.
Always remember this YTown proverb:
He who makes many bold predictions and proclamations will also be boldly dead wrong about half the time.
I know I have been.
I didn't know diddly about Mahomes from the draft. If I had an opinion it was from viewing stats but I didn't really know of him to comment with any authority. I usually say something to that effect if I stated an opinion.
The kid is great. In the long run I will take Baker. Got to remember we are comparing year two of Mahomes to year one of Baker. Rivers has always been a great QB. Chargers got the deal giving up Eli for Rivers plus.
I know he has a very unique throwing style but he doesn't have a weak arm. His touch is amazing. Cannot believe the Chargers won that game. Mahomes did show a chink in that armor. But he is an incredible talent. So so good on the move. Problem is he is more apt to become damaged goods just like Wentz, RG3 and I thought Watson but he is overcoming his injury pretty well. Wentz getting there but now where close to what he was prior to the injury.
jmho
Tab, this is what you wrote on Mahomes:
4th round on type of QB
