As miniscule as it may sound, I believe it may be my biggest peeve with that board.

They see it as absolutely nothing important.

I can't even log in. Oh well....it's better here anyway.

Nah they didn't really ban him. There is some fly in the ointment over there because I got the same message he got and I didn't do anything that would get me booted.

I thought it might provoke some thoughtful, intelligent discussion. I was not prepared for the onslaught of name-calling and idiotic comments that followed. <img src="/images/graemlins/rolleyes1.gif" alt="" />

Curiosity got me, and I decided to go log in.

My password doesn't work... simple enough, reset it?

Get my email with the new password, and log in, but it doesn't work, try 3 more times, and finally I'm in.

Goto my profile to set my password back to my choice, and hit submit. "You are not logged in", um, I was just in my profile, how can I not be logged in.

Login again trying MY password, no go, login using the previous reset password and Im in again. finally reset my password in my profile.

After all that I was too tired to even bother looking at the board itself. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Man am I glad I discovered this board. I like to read more than I like to post, and the other board was just ridiculous. People would start threads for every random thought that popped into their head, and most of the posts were design to argue and not to discuss football. Thank god you guys started this website, I love reading the topics at work, as well as occasionally posting. Just my 2 cents.

Actually, what I think happened was they edited my post (and the refs did edit my post). I tried to post while they were editing my previous post, so I got the you've been banned notification. My question is why did they change what I said?

Maybe there were too many trans fats in it?

Well nothing is as bad as the mesageboards on the Cavs site. There are some real idiots over there. One guy went on a rant about how Scott Williams should be fired as a Cavs announcer because Williams said something about UNC, Scott's alma mater, beating tOSU in basketball. This same guy said that he was offended by these comments and went on to compare Williams' statement to Michael Richards racist tirade. After that, I vowed to not venture to those boards again.

I''ll second and third a lot of folks viewpoints. I haven't posted over there since I got here. (um is there a here/there on the net?). I personally don't believe for a minute that the Refs changed what you said.

I could see them deleting a line out of your post if it was inappropriate by the rules. But I can't imagine them caring enough about your opinion to attempt to change it.

A hell of a lot worse things are posted on that board than, "No we are paying attention to the fact that Frye has only won three games."

Why would anyone feel the need to censor, delete or edit a comment like that?

I don't post over there but I do read through the threads. You yourself said much stronger negatively-opininated comments Frye than the, "only winning three games", one you mentioned, and none of those were changed.

I think you're either making things up to make that board appear bad, when in fact, it ain't necessary, that board is about as bad as it gets, or you made a typo yourself or forgot what you typed or meant to say something different but didn't.

Just an FYI, if your interested in a decent cavs board ( because I know, the home page one is just absolutely horrible. It makes the Browns home board look like a collection of the finest football minds on the planet) go to realcavsfans.com.

I don't post there, but I read there alot. They actually talk basketball and post some good articles from various sports writers. Brian Windhorst from the ABJ also does a chat for the site occasionally, which is cool. BW is one of the best bball beat writers in the country, in my opinion (and Bill Simmons as well). Just thought I'd share.
