There's going to be a good amount of big games this week. UCLA vs Arizona really catches my attention. Utah vs Oregon will be good too.
A sneaky trap game to watch: LSU vs Syracuse. I really like Syracuse defense and it will be very intriguing watching them against Fournette. Very disciplined unit.

Myles Jack is done for the year. This is horrible news. He is a potential first round pick and the best player on a top ten team.

Jack was a great player and great personality.
It does not look good for his career.

It does not look good for his career. It's just his meniscus, players have come back from much worse. If I were him I'd just stop going to class and start preparing for the draft right now.

Syracuse is making this game intriguing so far. They have defenders in the right spot, but Fournette is a horse to bring down. Too bad Syracuse QB looks like JAG.
Announcer just said he's like a 5th stringer. That would explain it then.

They're not struggling against a 5th string qb. Cuse doesn't have 100 yards of offense halfway through the 3rd q.

Yeah, Fournette is the best runningback since AP. Not even close.

Yeah, Fournette is the best runningback since AP. Not even close. It's soooooooo dumb that he has to be in school another year. He's better than 95% of the guys in the NFL right now (and that might be low).

Cuse has recruited some talented players. The state of New York has actually produced some decent football players.

Doesn't hurt when you get the ball at the opponents 44 and they give you 30 yards in penalties.

Toledo owns the state of Arkansas. Not that it's worth bragging about, but we own that state. Sleep well.

Losing by 7 week 1 @ Utah isn't looking too bad now..
(Not that it ever did, unless you talk to my coworkers who thought it was "hilarious")
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

jesus I wake up and see an Oregon loss by 6 TDs?? ... can't remember the last time that's happened
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Good day of college football.
--Don't look now, but That Team Up North is playing well.
--Fournette is indeed the best back I have seen in college football since Peterson. I remember him from last year. Kid is incredible.
--The TCU/Texas Tech game was very exciting. What a way to lose the game. I felt bad for Tech.
--The refs screwed Tennessee on the game clock in that last drive. They got a first down and let about 9 seconds run off the clock.
--I loved seeing Utah hammer Oregon.
--Loved seeing big-mouth Biehemma from Arkansas lose again. Hey coach, worry about your own schedule instead of Ohio State's. You got beat by Toledo, you fat windbag.
--Man, I love college football!

I don't know if you saw it, but Kliff Kingsbury really went in on Bielema after they beat him last week. If you haven't seen it yet, I'd suggest trying to track it down online. It's worth the time imo -- watching Bielema get taken to the woodshed like that.

CPed from tOSU thread: I wonder if Maryland's bus has arrived in Morgantown yet for the game. Good Lord I've never seen such incompetence in my life... College basketball is just around the corner... Maryland is playing horribly, but I think you guys are starting the infrastructure for something better. I'd suggest you take a coach from the MAC next season imo.

It's worth the time imo -- watching Bielema get taken to the woodshed like that. Nobody like Bielema. He's like a worse version of Rex Ryan. "At the Texas high school coaches convention this summer, he said, 'If you don't play with a fullback, we'll kick your ass. If you throw it 70 times a game, we'll kick your ass.' He just got his ass kicked twice in a row, and probably next week by A&M, as well. So, that did feel good."

Looking at Arkansas schedule. I don't see them making a bowl game this year. I see them losing to Bama, Ole Miss, LSU and probably Missouri. Bama, Ole Miss and LSU will beat the breaks off them. There only realistic hope is beating Missouri at the end of the year.

College basketball is just around the corner... Amen brother. Maryland is playing horribly, but I think you guys are starting the infrastructure for something better. I'd suggest you take a coach from the MAC next season imo. I'm not sure what to think about the coach, at times I like him. He seems to have some solid recruits coming in next year... but there is no excuse to just not show up like that. As of now, I'm neither strongly for or against a coaching change... but it wouldn't upset me. It just goes to show you how much harder it is to change a culture in college football than it is in college basketball. In college basketball, you can change the entire course of a program with 2 recruits.. in football, you need at least a dozen or more just to get started.. And for the record: 3 weeks ago, Maryland played a decent first half against Bowling Green, then sucked in the second half... the Browns played a decent first half against the Jets, then sucked in the second half 2 weeks ago, Maryland played a decent game all the way around and won, the Browns played a decent game all the way around and won. This week Maryland got humiliated in the first half and it just got worse from there... so when the Browns sucked so bad in the first half, I had little hope they would come back at all.

I think he has to go. He signed an extension in the offseason though, so I doubt he will. I think these next two off-seasons will be big for both Rutgers and Maryland as they take the next steps into the Big Ten. For someone who doesn't care for either, it'll be more interesting for me to see what they do with coaching rather than any of their actual games.

After 55 years, I'm walking away from this dumpster fire. Good luck to everyone who continues to hang on. You'll need it.

I saw a headline. I will have to look it up. Thanks.
On another note: still can't believe the running of the clock in the Tenn/Florida game.

They don't need a coach, they need a GM that can put some people in the trenches and maybe play some defense.. they are going to get Luck killed.
