The difference? Shanahan last year, Flip this year. Same players different scheme. When you pass almost every down, your run blocking will suffer when you do throw a run in here or there.

Teams don't respect the pass game. There is no special consideration given to our pass game so the defense is all slanted toward the run. Even if the Browns end up getting lucky and hit on a pass they're gambling they won't consistently be able to do it. It's no coincidence that the Browns best running week was the week when Manziel made them pay deep.
