"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
- illegal formation, one person on the line and nobody to the left of the ball How is it Illegal? Didn't watch was it called illegal?
I only had that little cartoon to go by, was the cartoon accurate.
On the Line...the Line extends from sideline to sideline. As long as an eligible WR went under center and being the only guy left. I'm very curious if so he could have gone out for a pass? Even though he snapped??? Maybe what he should have done a little jump pass lobbed over the two defenders and let the Center catch the ball??? That would have been cool. The stupid thing was to try to run the ball was it with the QB? or a real RB if it was Gore I think he would have gotten the first...but it was the PUNTER???
Situational 4th down maybe not the best time to utilize it.

Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!
I believe they didn't have enough guys on the LOS. They weren't even lined-up straight. It was like the line a drunk walks after being pulled over by the cops.
Oh geesh what a cluster muck...lol Glad it wasn't us lol
Yeah you can have 10 on the LOS as long as you run the ball...but to have too many in the backfield was a total mess up...smh Its the NFL if you are going to utilize a trick play you have to have it down to perfection and run it quickly or call time out??? Heck from the sound of it they might have run it once in practice a while ago and that was it.

being a browns fan is like taking your dog to vet every week to be put down...
That seems to me to be a case of a coach completely outsmarting himself for the same of showing how brilliant he is.
There is nothing good that could have come out of that formation. What was the best case scenario for the Colts? That the Pats panic when faced with an unusual formation? Not likely. They are too well prepared as a team.
That was just coaching stupidity.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
a friend watched it and said when they went to the side line the coach was asking "why you snap it, why you snap it" lmao
The Colts punter said today that Griff Whalen, the man who snapped the ball, had never practiced that play. The player that had practiced as the snapper was out with an injury.
(It's weird, the Ravens, Jaguars, Titans, and Lions are probably four of the worst teams in the league, but I don't see anyway they draft a QB with the first overall pick.)
Ken Whisenhunt is the worst coach in the league. After week one it seemed like he was going to adjust things to make Mariota's transition a little easier, but he basically added one play to the playbook and nothing else (zone read with a slant).
He's terrible and Mariota needs a better coach.
Whisenhunt is now 48-69 as a head coach and 3-18 with the Titans.

chief's aren't gonna draft a qb.
washington definitely would.
i have a feeling the saints won't, either.
texans, probably.
Bears and 49'ers just gave their QB's fat contracts. i doubt they will be in it.
so i think it really falls down to the texans, redskins, and the browns.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

If you are picking first overall and there is even an inkling of needing a QB, you have to draft one. I would take Goff over any of the QBs drafted in the last two years.
Cutler, Brees, Smith, and Kaepernick all have huge contracts, but that should not preclude a team that is drafting first overall from drafting a future franchise QB. Brees dead money drops down to $10 million next year, he will likely be cut if the Saints don't improve. Smith is owed a ton next year. Cutler's contract drops significantly next year, so does Kaepernick, they are both easily cutable.
Cutler has a big number next year, but it's only one more year. He can't be cut because it's all guaranteed too (well, why cut someone for no savings against the cap?). And the Bears would like to have the next QB to sit behind Cutler one year anyway. The defense is still a year or two away.
“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”

Right. The point is that the teams I listed would definitely take Goff (assuming he's the #1 pick) if they had the #1 pick.
Also, Cutler's number is big next year, but nothing like this year. If the Bears cut Cutler before the 2015 season they would have taken on $29.5 million in dead money. Next year that number goes down to $13 million. In 2017 it goes down to $2 million.
