They can't have Lebron win all their games. Everybody has to be on board. Everybody on the team.

Knicks badly need Arron Afflalo if they want any hope of making the playoffs. The East sucks so they have a decent chance. Really like Porzingis. Melo needs to stay healthy too obviously.

Looks like the League rescinded the Technical on JR Smith from the Chicago opener. So I guess I wasn't the only one that thought it was a bogus call.

NBA officiating is worst in the world by a wide margin, and their bias is borderline criminal.. JR got that technical because he's JR. Funny that the ref that was looking right at him the whole time didn't call it..I won't even get into how bad the initial call was.

man so far this game JR and Mosgov are just killing us, Mosgov needs to be benched for a month or so to get healthy and stronger, he is very week under the basket, andy/TT have been much better. JR needs to figure out what happened to his 3 ball, without that he's not valuable.. Love and lebron playing really well. You can tell they are really trying to make Love feel like this is his offense, even lebron is setting him up inside and outside, If it wasn't for mosgov and JR just melting down at the end of the half we'd be up 15 on these guys. I love whiteside, I'd trade him for mosgov straight up he's exactly what you want for what we do. I can't believe that dude just flew under the radar.. Goes to show you, sometimes all you need is the right situation

Nice second half, looks like Blatt got my texts and benched JR and Mosgov...after that we just ran away from them, this team is scary good right now, it seems like people can have an off game and its like no problem, someone else steps it up.. Kevin Love is playing a different game then anyone else right now. That second unit of Love/delly/TT/andy/jefferson is just nasty. Blatt has been amazing the last two games with his in game adjustments. Throw irving and shump back into it and I have a feeling the starters will be getting alot of 4th quarters off.

Is there a player more fun to hate in the NBA than Wade, he seems like decent guy off court but I can't stand him as a player, he gets more phantom calls than anyone I've ever seen. Once we put jefferson on him he went silent.

Delly with 10 assists tonight and +23 for the night! He's turning into a pretty effective point guard.

Kevin Loves best stat tonight:

9/9 from the free throw line. He's being aggressive and making his free throws.

I think Moz injury is hurting him more than he's saying. He's trying to gut it out, but it's hurting us.

Delly this season: 17 assists – 1 Turnover. Cavs with Delly on the court are +56 in 60 minutes!!

Andy and RJ have certainly turned back the clock as well. That second unit is just looking great so far! Andy, TT, RJ, JR and Delly. Can you imagine what we're going to look like with Irving and Shump back in the lineup?!?

I think that he is still working his way back into shape after off-season injury and surgery.

Minnesota is gonna be incredible in a few years. Karl Anthony Towns has been a beast. Him and Wiggins are elite cornerstones. Hopefully Rubio continues to look good. I also really like Lavine and Muhammad

That was an entertaining game to watch last night. I thought Miami would give us more trouble than that. They've been playing better and typically play us tough. We handled them last night.

--I really like what Love is giving us now. He is a much more focal part of the offense. I like that he is getting more touches in the paint. This makes his entire game improve. He is a rebounding force and his passing ability is much better than I thought it was. He can wait to spot up outside when he gets into his rhythm rather than having to chuck up shots as his primary offense. He's playing very well.

--I really liked the second unit, especially when they left one starter in there w/them.

--I think we should decrease Mozgov's minutes and let him work his way back into shape. He's really slow defensively right now and I don't want to risk another injury.

--I want to see more of Love, TT, and Andy on the floor together. They get after it on the boards and defensively. Heck, even Love is playing better defense this year.

--Cunningham didn't do much, but that one drive he had showed how truly explosive this kid is.

--Delly had a very solid game. I was impressed. And he and TT certainly have some chemistry growing on those perfectly timed lobs.

--He didn't finish his moves last night, but I like that JR Smith is putting the ball on the floor and creating a bit. His handle is better than I thought and can pass the ball, too. It should also help provide him some space for his deep shot.

--Signing Mo has turned out to be a very good move thus far.

--The rotations were pretty good last night. Again, I would decrease Moz's minutes until he gets in better shape, but we had some nice rotations out there last night. Blatt was even doing some experimenting. We are so much deeper than last year.

--Oh, that reminds me. I wasn't a big fan of the Jefferson signing. I thought he was done, but the guy can still play and is providing positive minutes for us. Our GM seems like a pretty smart guy. Does he know anything about football? wink

Solid post... going to have to agree with all focal points.

Actually, I gotta thank you, because I was gearing up to bust in here, cracked knuckles and all, and lay some typing down but you've saved me from that hahaha.

I think theres something going on with the knee still, because he mentioned that it wasn't fixed like it was supposed to be. So it sounds like he basically got the surgery for nothing. I just don't understand why you put him out there anything less than 100% when love/TT/Andy/Kaun are all 100% healthy and pretty damn effective . I have to say watching TT and Andy on the floor together is pretty amazing add in delly and love and people are just flying all over the place...easily the best basketball I've watched in cleveland. What's scarier, is they are just going to get better and we're going to add back in an all world PG and a lockdown defender that can shoot the 3.

I was just thinking this the other day. We're looking so fluid now. What are we going to be like when we get Irving back and he's doing stuff like this:

Really happy to see that Wiggins/Love trade work out for both teams. Wiggins would have been an awesome Cavalier, but I don't think with Lebron it's a perfect fit. Kevin Love really fits in with this team and with Lebron.

And man does he look good so far! The Chicago game was up in the air, but man they drilled Memphis and Miami who are both projcted to be high seeds.

exactly, teams can pretty much play Mo one up or cover within their defense, they try that with Kyrie, he'll drop 50 on them. Theres not another player in the nba with the handles and ability to get to the rim and finish like kyrie. He understands the physics of english and the glass like nooone, and his hesitation dribbles are some of the best I've ever seen. I can't wait for him to get back.

I have liked your recent posts. So, don't please don't take this the wrong way.

I have to say I am a bit worried about Kyrie's return.

I think he is a great talent, but I wonder if he makes us a better team? I only think that because I wonder if one basketball is enough for Kyrie, LeBron, Love, and JR?

I like what we are doing on offense right now. I wonder if Kyrie's return will upset that balance?

You don't like TT because he isn't a scorer. I like him because he does all the dirty work and doesn't need the ball, which on a team w/so many guys who need the ball, is important.

Don't get me wrong.........I want Kyrie on the team. I think if he accepts a supplementary role, we have a great shot at the title.

I do think that Blatt has his work cut out for him in keeping LeBron, Love, Kyrie, and JR happy.

I am not dissing your opinion...........just offering something to think about.

Peace.

Kyrie's main job when he does come back is to make sure Kevin Love is still involved. Right now Lebron and Mo are really leaning on him. It's a great mix.

I wouldn't worry though. This is a long year and David Blatt has an embarrassment of riches and is still figuring things out. The rotations look so much better now than they did early on last year. That is a nice sign.

Kinda like that RJ is seeing minutes too. I was a bit worried that he'd be another Shawn Marion. The guy can still play a little, and his role right now is perfect for him.

Just remember though, after the all star break the big 3 of love lebron and kyrie went something like 33-4. I'm not that worried about disrupting the chemistry, Kyrie is a smart dude and you could see the maturity into a team player last year..he really put forth the effort, his time in the NBA before that he was the dude and it was all on him, last year his defense improved, he played off the ball and he looked for teammates, I don't see any reason he doesn't take that next step. Playing on team USA last year and getting lebron to play with I think was a perfect situation for him. Now that being said, he's also a guy that if kevin or lebron are having off nights, Kyrie can go out there and get buckets at a high rate. I think its win/win. I also think Kyrie being out in the beginning of the year, provided we keep playing well and sharing the ball at a historic rate, he's getting to see where he can fit in. Plus I have to give it to Blatt, he's really doing a great job with the rotations so far.

As far as TT/Delly, I know I'm hard on them, but so far this season, you can really see that they've worked on their weaknesses, Delly has added that little hesistation dribble that helps setup the pick and roll, and TT look much more comfortable with the ball away from the basket and on the baseline, last year that situation was a sure turnover, and that 15 footer he shot last night looked confident and if he can add that consistently, then look out because this team just got that much better.

you can bet there isn't a coach in the NBA that feels sorry for Blatt having to decide who to play when..lol. He's done a great job so far, I think Lebrons minutes will come down even more when kyrie gets back, maybe even as low as 30-32. And RJ is a great add..he's got good size to defend a couple positions, and he's made himself into a productive shooter, back in the Nets days he was just a high flyer. Now he is pretty consistent beyond the arc, and when he does shoot you don't question physics and how on earth it got there ala marion.

The way things have gone through 3 games, I think LBJ's minutes should come down, especially when Irving is back.

Great post man. To that point, Kyrie had 5.2 assists per game, Lebron 4.7 and Love 4.0. Granted Kyrie is supposed to be a PG, but he will pass it when he needs to.

I know the Iso-offense is sort of frowned upon, but Kyrie and Lebron are two of the absolute best Iso players in the world. They also know how to find open players and hit them when they draw in the defense. They are nearly unstoppable when they are hitting their shots. They just need to know when it's NOT their night to defer to someone else.

I haven't read a single post in this thread, but if the Cavs remain relatively healthy the only team that has a chance to beat them is Golden State.

Everything else is just a formality. But I am really concerned the Cavs cannot beat GS. Curry is the best player in the NBA. He's basically unguardable.

This year we will be able to match up their small ball lineup:

Mo, Kyrie, Lebron, Love and insert any number of guys into the 5th spot

Klove as jackie moon is pure gold, now we know why lebron started growing the 'stache.

One thing is for sure, you can't say they don't have fun as a team
