Good for Mack.

I can't believe the idiot Farmer wants to trade true pros like Joe T and Mack. He is a freaking moron!

Hey Ray............why not trade Gilber, Johnny, Shelton, and Erving instead, you piece of crap!

I agree with you, it's really cheap, but it's still only a two month rental. Good for both sides in my opinion.

While there are no guarantees regarding the future, Mack was speaking directly to the present situation. I would take it at face value rather than trying to decode the message.

He also told the media to ask his agent when he was asked before, so I think it might be something to appease the fans in case we don't get any bites.

Imagine that........

I get it because we have a guy like Rodgers at qb.

We have a Peterson at RB.

We have a Beckham Jr and Green at WR

We have Gronk at TE

We have Von Miller at OLB

We have Sherman at CB

We have ..............

nevermind............you are just being you.

I probably agree with Peter King. If they traded JT I would be convinced this team is incompetant from top to bottom, and I would probably stop rooting for them. I would find other things to do on Sundays. I don't understand how you could trade a proven top player for a bunch of what-ifs.

You assume he wants to trade anybody. The way I see it is that contenders may have contacted us to see if anyone is availabe, and then the writer works it from that end. The writer finds out, say the Pats, contacted us about player X, then all of a sudden the twits of the twitter world explode that we are looking to trade away our players.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

rumors in western PA are that the Steelers are inquiring about Eric Weddle ... hopefully they don't get him

His replacement isn't anywhere near as good as Mack.

I want him back, I also want to retain Thomas. I'd like both to retire as Browns.

Honestly swish, I don't agree with you. Look, does Pet deserve some scorn? Yeah, I think he does. He's far from perfect that is FOR SURE.

But if you serve your coach a pile of garbage, don't expect him to make a Superbowl winner out of them.

And with few exceptions, (mack, Thomas, Bitonio, etc) he's got garbage to work with.

It doesn't matter if he is as good or not. We drafted a guy in the first round to replace Mack. That means we are not re-signing Mack (assuming Farmer is still the GM).

Not only that, but we can't even tag Mack this off-season (his contract prohibits it). He is going to the highest bidder.

we won 7 games last year, with more or less the same talent level.

i've always said i think Farmer is trash, but what i'm saying is that pettine doesn't get any where near the heat he deserves on here.

I think this is a point often overlooked.

The FO and Staff are a mess at this point. But not much has changed from last year's roster.

Williams was swapped for Skrine on the outside and is playing better
Shelton was swapped for Rubin who was HORRIBLE at the 0-tech.
Starks replaced Taylor who barely even played last year.
Sheard replaced by Orchard/Mingo/Solomon.
McCown replaced Hoyer.

What about the Hoyer Magical Pixie Dust, what did we replace that with?

me thinks we would've been in the same position or better this year if we still had shanny.

Hoyer benefited from a good run game. thats non existent for McCown this year.

I see this as Mack just wanting full control over where he goes and a fat contract that he negotiates. I don't think he's loyal to the team. Joe, on the other hand, I think is 100 percent loyal to the Browns and would retire here if we give him the chance to.

When the trade deadline comes and goes, and none of our guys are traded, will mac take back all the nasty things he's said?

We should be used to this media blind dart throwing at this time of year.

I don't need Peter King to tell me this. It would be utterly stupid to trade Thomas.

Coaching and Talent evaluation are the two biggest problems with this team right now.

Farmer has had 4 1st round picks in the last 2 drafts and only 1 is seeing significant playing time (Shelton) and even his play has been lackluster. You would think that at least 3 of the 4 would be starting and that a couple of them would be cornerstones of this team, which is certainly not the case. Then we have the Bowe fiasco, which I'm not sure to blame this on Farmer or Pett, Early in camp I heard and read reports that Bowe was looking good then he gets injured and the dude becomes the invisible man, is Bowe washed up? or is he in Pett's doghouse for something? I won't go on about the lack of talent produced by past GMs as that has been hashed and rehashed enough.

As for the coaching, I thought Pett did a pretty good job last year but this year some of his decisions have been real head scratchers, IE: the 2 pnt try against Denver and his clock usage at the end of the half and also at the end of some the games. Plus his allowing of certain players to be used in rolls not suited to them, IE: Kruger being asked to play a lot more in coverage instead of rushing the QB. Scheme and play calling have really been terrible, how can you go from a team last year who averaged almost 150 yds a game rushing the first 5 games before Mack went down to 84 yds a game and 3.2 ypa with essentially the same players this year?, the only real difference is we swapped West for Duke and I think that was an upgrade. I watched one run play (I think it was against the Rams) where the whole Oline did a terrific job of blocking for the run the problem was they all blocked their guy to the left and the RB (Duke) was behind them and the whole play got strung out all the way to the sideline and Duke ended up getting tackled for a loss because there was no place to cut back. I have also seen us swap Hartline for Gabriel a few times even though we are at the opposing team's goal line where a bigger WR would be smarter for the blocking and jump ball possibilities. In the Rams game on a play that helped set up the Rams last TD I watched our DC call for a CB blitz when it was 3rd and 5, on the Rams side of the 50, where a quick slant would get the Rams the first down yet we had the Corner clear over towards the sideline blitz and by the time he got there the ball was long gone and it was the guy (Inman) who he was to cover that caught that 5 yard pass and took it 65 yards down to our 5 yard line and helped to set up the Rams last TD. Our defense last year was one best, ranked 10, this year we are 30th with mostly the same people.

It would be a total Browns move to agree on that deal, but miss the deadline. True or not, both scenarios are horrible.

This team is run by complete idiots. Would you trade Joe Thomas for Cam Erving and Nate Orchard? Because that's what the idiots agreed to, if that is true

A potential Joe-Thomas-to-Denver deal that both sides were working on up until the deadline did not get completed, per league sources.

Farmer is an absolute dope. This organization is at an all time low right now, and I actually miss Lerner..lol. Let's see what we've learned in the past 3 days....

1. Our HC sends our QB out there with broke ribs and a concussion most likely, because he is total bush league.

2. Our idiot GM tries to trade a HOFer LT in JT for two low 1st/2nd round picks (while throwing in a 4th).

3. Our owner keeps these buffoons employed while they did the above.

I honestly can not think of a time since rebirth that I have had so little hope regarding this team. Even if Jimmy cleans house he's a stooge that will screw it up yet again.

The Browns and Broncos failed to complete a deadline deal Tuesday that would have sent 8-time Pro Bowl player LT Joe Thomas and a 4th-round pick in 2016 to Denver for a 1st-round and 2nd-round pick in 2016, sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini and Adam Schefter.

I'm a huge Joe Thomas fan and supporter and I wanted him to retire as a Brown and go into the HOF as a Cleveland Brown but man, 4-12 or 5-11 almost every year he's been here and all he does is play every snap of every game, let the guy go home and be on a championship team.

I don't think Joe Thomas is interested in playing anywhere besides Cleveland.

So his agent says right now...

Yep. This is offically worse than the Mangini-Napoleon era, if only for the fact that it's more than one guy stinking up the place.

Farmer is an idiot. He just deflected the Bowe fiasco as a "Browns decision".

"Players come along at different point in times" when asked about his 1st rd blunders. Way to own up on it. I'd fire him on the spot for this answer alone. This guy is not very smart, but he doesn't know it. Bad mix, lol

Except the reports are that they couldn't get a deal done because of compensation which means the picks weren't good enough. At least he wasn't giving him away.

Unless Denver offered multiple 1st round picks you hang up the phone. You don't try to center a package of one 1st rounder for a HOF LT in his prime. The fact that Farmer did just shows how utterly clueless and incompetent he is.

Btw, I was wrong DJ. Although Pettine is an dope in his own right, and certainly needs fired, I would vote to keep him over Farmer. The problem is that is like choosing head lice over a venereal disease....lol.
