Following on my computer/phone.
How does JM look? Is he making decent throws? Is he leaving the pocket too early? I know it's only been two drives. Thus far really good...has been placing the ball fairly well, however WRs are playing scared...had a bad throw to Duke on an outlet pass...Crow has shown some spark...time to watch this D now

Shelton fits his scouting profile to a T so far; he'll be better next year I suspect. If he loses 50 pounds of blubber and replaces it with 20 pounds of muscle.

I don't think it's the weight that's the entire issue, here's what SI had to say about him before he was drafted: Blockers who engage Shelton can do so because he fails to consistently use rip and swim moves to get free. He tends to wrestle and dance too much as opposed to using his hands to push through a block. As his snap counts increase, he will play higher off the ball and start to lose leverage. Weight has been an issue at times, and he ran a 5.64 40-yard dash with a 1.9 10-yard split at the scouting combine (slowest 10-yard split of any defensive lineman), though he plays faster than that. Gets so involved in pursuit at times that he'll blow assignments up the middle.

Heck out of all of our Dlineman last year the only two I recall flashing some talent and big time plays was Winn and Dezmond Bryant...Bryant is all we have left...how invisible has Randy Starks and Hughes been this year...hugely quiet
