Have we ever had a bigger bust than Justin Gilbert?

Both good questions, I would definitely like a better look at Bibbs.

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM
my two cents...

Roethlisberger is active. I wonder if he comes in if the Steelers somehow go down.

sorry, absolutely no reason for gilbert to be inactive.

Who is going to cover 6'4" 4.3 Martavis Bryant? All he does is run go routes, slants, and screens. I think Gilbert can handle that.

The coach hating him seems like a pretty good reason.

Why in the HELL is Gilbert inactive? Same with Bowe? Is he too tired from 10 days ago?

What an abomination this FO is.

Bowe and Gilbert.

At this point not sure why these two guys have a uniform. Their contributions to the team are next to nothing.

There are tons of fringe players just looking for a chance. They are willing to do anything just to get a look.

Bowe and Gilbert have been given every opportunity plus a ton of money. They have done nothing to earn the money. Maybe give someone else the chance.

Bowe has no place on the team. I think Gilbert has a spot on the team because the next coach can give him a chance to salvage his career.

If we aren't playing Gilbert, why haven't we just cut him already? I don't really get it.

Gilbert is inactive because he is a whiney little b...h. If they cut him tomorrow I wouldn't shed a tear. He was a wasted pick. Even if you hate the thought of taking a WR or dislike Sammy Watkins, it's evident to all that he is at the least an active and valuable player. He plays and produces at a decent level. So passing on him to take Gilbert is a double blow. We passed on a real player and selected a bum. Ouch.

Farmer is pathetic.

NOT a great game to have Bitonio take a week off. The Steelers D is resurgent. They have been playing pretty solid defense. Imagine that.

Because we picked him with the eighth pick last year.

Gilbert and Bowe being inactive is just a sign of the continuous infighting.

It would not surprise me if Pettine doesn't last through the bye.

Gilbert I think has some sort of injury. I swore in one of the pressers Pettine mentioned it. No big loss, he doesn't play anyway.

Bowe is down because Hartline is back.

Let alone Bowe and Gilbert, but the real question is why the hell is Farmer still collecting a paycheck.

Congratulations to our 2016 NBA Champion CLEVELAND CAVALIERS!!! Greatest comeback in sports history... Hail to the King!

I'm concerned with Poyer's shoulder and his ability to tackle and want to tackle today. I feel our safeties are going to have to be active and play solid today, we'll see...

I'll also add that Pettine's next job depends on these guys not seeing any field time. If they take the field and play well, it won't paint him in a very good light.

I'm starting to think that Pettine made a power play while Farmer was out and it's backfiring. The team was really active with him and Kuharich (sp?) at the helm, and I think he was trying to show they didn't need Farmer. But he didn't count on the on the field product being so poor. So he made a play and instead of gaining any ground, he actually lost ground when Farmer came back because he didn't have on field results to back him up.

Now he's just going down and being spiteful doing it.

Just my speculation, IMO.

If we lose in an ugly fashion today, it would not surprise me to see him fired over the bye.

As bad as this sounds, I think it is going to happen. I see this team getting embarrassed today. The Steelers need a win to stay in the hunt, and they are playing at home.
