I believe GM was talking about the plan for Johnny.
I think that there is an issue on this thread w/guys stating opinions as if they are fact. I really don't get why so many want to make Pet the fall guy for everything. Well, I get it.......but, I don't like it.

For those who want to know or who have listen, I let them know. For those who don't want to hear it, or don't believe it, well I'm shaking the dust off my feet as I walk away  i just dont remember you telling us the plan was to let talent walk, bring a bunch of over the hill players, blow high round draft picks, and make it so we cannot win any games. guess the plan was to get everyone fired after 2 years? COOL I CAN MARK YOU DOWN TO THE DON'T LISTEN CROWD and be done with you.

Not everyone thinks you are wrong. This was said by many last year, even some suggested Pet should go the way of Chud the Dud. 2-13 in his last 15 with absolutely no true respect from any player (not counting desperate yes-men nice guy special teamers like Andy Lee.) At 7-4 last year some speculated it was the worst house of cards 7-4 team ever because of the tug-of-war infighting infrastructure.

I am pretty sure the "PLAN" being discussed was football related not social life related.
Was the "PLAN" stopped dead in its tracks cause of football? or Social behavior? Why mock the plan.
Btw I knew the plan too not from any inside info. It was common sense. I said it PREDRAFT, Post draft and during the so called "COMPETITION" The plan was to teach him up with a decent Bridge QB at the helm while he learned.
I think he did learn and was at the tip of Getting IT. Now this happens which had nothing to do with Football or the PLAN.

A lot just might depend on who has Haslam's ear!
Both Farmer and Pettine know football. Way more than Haslam. The guy who is his confident will be able to convince and place blame on the other. Over the years it seems the HC tries more to make it work with the GM and the GMs just want more power and pick their own guy!
jmho yea. and thats why if... and i do mean if.. anyone go it will be pettine. said it after textgate Alec Scheiner and farmer are close and they both talk to Haslam alot more than pettine. +1 especially for Alec.

Yep, "the plan" to trade away the Browns best players...that had to be Pettine's idea..right BUSINESSBOYS?
...and such a fine plan it was and leaking it to the media just before the Browns played the Cards...brilliant!
...and this master plan of the Browns business management sure helped to move this franchise forward, didn't it?
I would expect nothing less from the man heading the Browns business management team...just blame the HC for everything...that's the way the Browns do it.
...what a group of EMPTY SUITS theBrowns have running this franchise into the ground.
Remember a year ago, when the Browns were talking about the possibility of making the playoffs? Management started making changes before the season was over...and this what we ended up with after management got done preparing for the 2015 season...helluva job Jimmy, Alec and Ray !
