Did you notice the wide base of his feet and the power he generates from that? He has no reason to physically contort his body like JFF. In fact it would probably be hard to contort it because his base is so wide.

This article is from fansided, but the thing I want you to notice here is the tweet in the middle of the page from Matt Miller of nfldraftscout.

Matt is one of my favorite judges of NFL talent and I use his site a lot for draft research.

Quote:
Drew Brees footwork should be recorded and studied by future QBs.
5:47 PM - 13 Sep 2015

http://espn.go.com/blog/seattle-seahawks/post/_/id/2374/wilson-finally-face-his-idol-in-brees

In this article Wilson admits that he studied Brees mechanics in college, particularly his footwork.

You probably picked the one guy in the NFL that has some of the best footwork. Brees works on his footwork 20 mins a day during the season and plays tennis in the offseason because he says it helps him maintain good footwork. He understands that for a small QB, footwork is very important. Russel Wilson studied Drew Brees for the same reason.

Fun Johnny Manziel Had Quiet Bye Week In Austin DJ Booth

(click link for pictures)

Johnny Manziel kept his word about what he’d do during his bye week as he prepared to become the Browns starting quarterback. He said last week his plans were to “relax. Get a chance to shut it down. Come back Sunday, Monday be ready to go(.)” Manziel added during his chat with the Cleveland media: “I don’t think anyone has to worry about me this (bye) week(.)”

And then Manziel went to Austin, Texas to put in a couple nights of Fun Johnny Manziel. One night was at Austin hotspot Rio Rooftop and then there was a DJ booth visit on Friday night at the Summit Rooftop Lounge where the new Browns starting QB used his throwing hand to clutch what looks like a silver bottle of Dom.

That might not look like relaxing and shutting it down, but you’re not the legend, Fun Johnny Manziel.

That’s DJ LX with the pink bottle of Dom. “Sippin on Dom Perignon for no reason with #johnnymanziel,” he added on IG.

This is now the second time this month we’ve seen Fun Johnny come out to play minus the crazy girlfriend who caused a scene on an Ohio road that led to the cops being called.

The guy seems to be rebounding, which is good news.

And then Fun Johnny hit up the Michigan State-Ohio State game Saturday in Columbus. Now it’s time to get prepared for the starting gig.

http://bustedcoverage.com/2015/11/23/johnny-manziel-austin-dj-booth-rio-summit-bar/

My takeaways...

1. Johnny will never settle down. If he ends up being good, this stuff will always be a part of his profile.

2. He didn't go to rehab for alcohol.

Who cares. I'd like to see what other players did on their off week. He didn't get in trouble, he had some fun, just as it is likely 100% of other players do on their off week during the season - most just don't have people follow them around.

What NFL players do on their time off is their business as long as they don't embarrass the team or cause trouble.

He's 22 years old. He's going to drink he's going to party... as long as it's within reason... I'm don't think anyone should care.

I really don't have much faith in JF off the field, but from what I hear and understand - it's for sure an old photo. On 92.3, I think they said that JF showed back up in the building a day earlier than required.

Johnny Manziel off the wagon, back to hard-partying ways
By Jaclyn Hendricks

November 23, 2015 | 4:14pm

And the party rages on for Johnny Manziel.

Following a pit stop at his former Texas A&M campus with a handful of beautiful co-eds earlier this month, the Browns quarterback headed back to Texas during the team’s bye week, where he appears to have popped more than a few bottles.

TMZ Sports reports the former Heisman Trophy winner kicked things off at Rio’s Rooftop in Austin on Thursday to booze away the evening with a few pals. On Friday he partied with a bottle of Dom Perignon in hand.

It’s a troublesome look for the 22-year-old, who spent time in a rehab facility earlier this year, and an echo of the habits that derailed his rookie season.

Photo: APManziel refused comment when asked about the video on Monday.

Though Manziel managed to avoid another run-in with the cops, this marks another embarrassing headline. After getting into an alcohol-fueled argument with gal pal Colleen Crowley in October, the hard-partying pro apologized via Twitter. The NFL and Browns head coach Mike Pettine didn’t punish Manziel, but they likely will be keeping a closer watch on him, especially since he’s replaced Josh McCown as the starter for the remainder of the season.

The 2-8 Browns will face the 3-7 Ravens next Monday.

Video of Johnny Manziel causes stir as Browns end bye week

CLEVELAND (AP) — Johnny Manziel couldn't make it through the Browns' bye week without being a distraction.

Manziel, who promised last week that he wouldn't embarrass Cleveland's organization while the team was off, spent time partying in Texas and then hanging out at Saturday's Ohio State-Michigan State game in Columbus, Ohio.

On Monday, a video surfaced of the second-year quarterback holding a bottle of champagne and signing rap lyrics in a DJ's booth at a club in Austin, Texas.

While Manziel did nothing illegal, the sight of him out on the town must be disconcerting to the Browns and coach Mike Pettine, who selected the former first-round pick as the starter for Cleveland's final six games.

That announcement was followed by the NFL clearing Manziel of any wrongdoing following an investigation into a recent domestic incident.

Manziel spent part of Monday with teammates at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, boxing Thanksgiving meals for needy families. After the event, Manziel spoke about his weekend activities and said he had not seen the video making a stir on social media.

"This has been my main focus: getting back, getting prepared and then coming here for this," he said.

"So I haven't seen anything or heard anything. I've been here for this event, and that's really what I want to talk about, the things that are really important, not what I'm doing off the field.

"It's what we're doing here in the community and what we're doing to get ready for this game (against Baltimore) on Monday night. So that's where my focus is, and I haven't had my focus anywhere else. I know that."

Manziel's off-field behavior has been an issue from the moment the Browns drafted him. Following a disappointing rookie season he acknowledged not taking his job as seriously as he needed to and the 22-year-old spent 10 weeks in a Pennsylvania rehab facility specializing in alcohol and substance abuse.

The Browns (2-8) will return to practice Tuesday, when Pettine is certain to be asked more questions about Manziel's antics.

While volunteering at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank on Monday, Manziel hinted that the video of him posted Friday night with the bottle in his hand could be old.

"You know there's all kinds of people that come out,'' he said. "Videos can be old. Videos can be all kinds of different things. So like I said, I'm not in a state to be able to speak on it because my focus has been on this today and what really matters in this game on Monday. So that's where my focus has been. I did get a chance to relax. So I haven't seen anything like that, and I'm not going to be able to speculate on it right now."

Asked specifically if the video was old, Manziel said, "I haven't seen it, so I can't speak on it."

He did not, however, deny partying in Austin on those nights when given the chance to do so Monday.

I think people just like to pick on JM. Some of it is his fault because he has put a target on his back but he is 22 he didn't hurt anyone leave him alone. Does anyone remember Bobby Lane, Joe Namath, Ken Stabler to name a few? They were far from choir boys too. They were good qb's but JM still has a lot of time to prove himself. People should give him a little space and privacy.

I respectfully disagree. He partied his whole first season away (!!!). He just went to rehab a few months ago. He should not drink at all. IMHO

Do you have any idea how many professional athletes party? Even if that report was true, it's extremely mild compared to most players during a week off.

The media knows fans will suck this negative JM stuff up and they aren't wrong about that.

Wonder what Joe Haden has been doing recently? Does anyone care?

Joe Haden isn't the QB for the Cleveland Browns. He also didn't spends months in rehab. Joe Haden didn't promise his coach not to be a "distraction", because he doesn't need to. Our QB, the face of the franchise, behaves like a perpetual 18 year old at his first frat party. Who cares if it was this past weekend or 2 weekends ago? Kid is obviously off the wagon, which has to be a giant - huge - red flag to this organization. He's acting like a player that wants out of here, and I hope they oblige him.

For him to even spend time answering their questions would amount to him feeding the Trolls.

I'm glad he steered the conversation in another direction. He appears to have grown a lot more than his accusers.

DOes it matter really. Look, if it's a new video from last week then he's just not going to learn (and I think it's old by the way , if you open your mind and look at it without an agenda, you'll see that he was clean shaven and looked considerably thinner around the face then he does today)

Could I be wrong, of course. But I don't think so.

Well said, Dave.

As it stands now, I think he might be a really good QB if he wasn't drinking... But he's drinking again. It just puts him in a space to screw up again. His whole first season was a washout because he partied too much. A person who just got out of rehab should not drink (or do any other drugs). It's common sense.

Isn't the Champagne picks from another YEAR???not last week?

So far All I know is he has attended some parties with a social Beer in hand and not one evidence of him getting inebriated. Including the problem with the Girlfriend. He has been very honest and yeah I know he is no ordinary 22 year old.

But thank goodness I didn't have to go through his scrutiny when I was in college and up to 22.

He has been nothing but what you would want him to be. Wow. what a freaking mess.

Does Pettine really think Manziel wouldn't be ready start because of this? Why not bench him for spending yesterday "Giving 10" at the Thanksgiving food drive? He should have been in the film room. rolleyes

What a joke. Seriously, if he is going to start McCown over this... fire him now before he can do any more damage.

Adding fuel to the fire.

Pettine tired of Manziel incidents, won’t say he remains Browns’ starter

Posted by Zac Jackson on November 24, 2015, 12:21 PM EST
Johnny Manziel
AP
The Browns returned to work Tuesday, which means reporters asked coach Mike Pettine about Johnny Manziel’s weekend away from the team.

This has happened before. And this time, Pettine’s answer was “disappointing. Very.”

Pettine said the organization is concerned about Manziel’s “repeated pattern of behavior” and will discuss the latest incident and that pattern later on Tuesday. Pettine said he didn’t want to make a “knee jerk” reaction but also said he can’t say now if Manziel will start at quarterback for the Browns next Monday vs. the Ravens.

The team named Manziel the starter for the rest of the season last week.

The website Busted Coverage first posted about Manziel’s night out in Austin, Tex., on Monday afternoon. Busted Coverage had pictures and videos it says were taken last Friday.

Manziel spent almost three months in rehab for an undisclosed issue starting last January. Last month he was back in the news after police were called to a roadside argument between Manziel and his girlfriend; no charges were filed and the NFL also declined to discipline him.

Maybe Pettine and the Browns have had enough. Stay tuned.

Unless you just don't like him, YOU meaning broad stroke to those who are upset over an OLD PHOTO that cannot be dated and actually was LIED about in 4 articles. The last 3 acting like the original RUMOR GARBAGE SITE is the Bible of what has happened. NY Post, USA Today and MARY KAY...articles as if the original was actually true.

Let us know the date and time of the photos. He looks actually quite young in them.

#Browns HC Mike Pettine said when Manziel's behavior repeats, it adds to frustration.

Wow. what a freaking mess.

The whole thing is a mess. Pettine is an idiot for even commenting on it at all. Manziel is an idiot for putting himself in the position to be questioned [again].

Both need to be gone at the end of this season.
