I agree 100%. 17 1/2 you can get your temps and drive for 6 months and then when your 18 you get your license. I know when I was 16 I would have been pretty mad if that happened, but I also remember how my friends and I drove back then

Hmmmm...I don't know about that . You can vote, join the military and possibly die for your country but you wouldn't be able to drive ? I'm on the fence because there is a big part of me that agrees wholeheatedly with this plan. I took over the teaching of my daughter and although she is 3 years away from driving I try to instill a few lessons or at least what I feel are the important ones like PAYING ATTENTION to the road and nothing else. I tell her that there is nothing more important to do other than driving the car when you are behind the wheel . If it is that pressing pull over and handle it but DO NOT attempt to do anything other than drive. I sound like a broken record to her but if it helps the info stick ....

Speaking of the lawn mower....I found a stick crammed between the engine and deck last night. It was stuck in there pretty good...no clue how that got there.

World's worst drivers?

People who think they have to LOOK at their passenger while they talk to them, and people who talk non stop with their hands while driving.

I don't mind traffic. Its fun. I usually go into Ass-mode and drive all maniacal. I usually will try to people off all around me just for kicks. So instead of driving like a decent person and being pissed about all the dum basses around me, I just join the ranks---It's freaking great.

Its a solid hour of stop-and-go slow time. The more pissed people behind me get---the funnier I think it is.

In all honesty, there is no reason to be angry about traffic---its not something you can control---so why let it get to you. People drive their own way, and often, if that way is different than your own---then you call them morons.

Follow my good example and become one of those idiots behind the wheel, but odds are, you already are.

my fav is the hurry up and pass you, cut in front of you and jam your brakes to stop at the light manuever. Had that happen to me in michigan of course. Needless to say i was very happy to find out this guy was going to the same gas station i was. As i approached his car, he sped off.. guess he didn't need gas after all

Speaking of "driving", and the new laws in Ohio, etc, etc, etc....

I waited 16 years to get my license and be able to drive legally . So, my dad takes me to get my license in the a.m., I pass and get my license about 10:30 a.m.

I got my first speeding ticket at 7:00 pm the same day. Lost my license for 30 days. 16 years waiting to drive, and I drove for less than 8 hours before the state took it from me.

I just saw the judge that took it a few months ago, and he said he still tells juveniles about me!

I normally drive 5 to 10 over but when someone is riding my ass and trying to push me that's when I normally back down to the speed limit or maybe 5 under.

I think 16 is too young to drive. Sorry, but I do....I would have been mad as hell if the age was raised to 17 or 18 when I was 16, but I don't think *most* 16 year olds have the mental capacity to handle it very well.

I agree...i remember driving at 16 with friends....holy crap looking back i'm surprised i didn't kill anyone
