Man mosgov is charmin soft...he's by far the worst player on this team right now..and we gave up 2 firsts and its a contract year...not looking very good.. what's with this team being so damn soft this year. You can't just turn toughness on, its a mindset, we don't have it.

Championship team my ass. I'm sick of blatt not knowing how to make adjustments or have them ready to play. Every single game we come out flat and get our teeth kicked in. Guess the requirements for coach of the month are quite lax

I think it begins and ends w/LeBron. I wanna puke watching him play in these early season games.
You said you played ball, so you know that it is HUGE to "value possessions." Does LeBron value possessions? It's sickening to watch.
He might turn it on later and we'll all forgive him, but man, this is hard to watch. It was my son's birthday and we had a bunch of folks over......and the game was on and he says the early season is like the exhibition or preseason. My wife asks so why do they have so many games? LOL....about 8 people say "money" at the same time. How else would the NBA be able to pay such insane contracts?
It kills me that these guys make that much money and then have an attitude where these games don't really matter. They make more in one game than many of us do in a year and they really don't care that much? Un-stinking-real!!!!
I also have another problem w/this mindset. As a former player and especially as a former coach, I never believed in this "we'll turn it up when we have to" attitude. Yeah, it works against stinky teams, but man, sometimes in the playoffs, the really good teams do NOT allow you to turn it up. And Lord knows, we have all seen LeBron quit during the playoffs, both here and in Miami.
It's a freaking loser's mentality and I don't like it!!!

It's a freaking loser's mentality and I don't like it!!! I'm with you there, I said so in a few posts I tire of lebron and his schtick. This team is night and day different mindset than golden state. There isn't turning it on. It's smashing people by playing the best of your abilities all the time. That's how you build a winners mindset. What we are watching is not that. Kyrie and shump aren't all of a sudden make us tougher. This team right now wouldn't beat Washington Chicago or Atlanta in a playoff series, all for different reasons. Washington just exposed how very bad we are dealing with that style, which is a lot like golden state. Lebron needs to be aggressive , support his teammates and stop berating them on the court. I would put someone on their ass if they looked and yelled at me like lebron does his "guys" that's not helping anyone. My mindset is there are no unimportant games. Every One is a chance to get better

Yeah, I agree for the most part.
I think Shump might help our perimeter defense. A lot of people like to put all the defensive blame on our bigs, but man, as a perimeter defender, you simply cannot allow unabated dribble penetration. You are putting your bigs in no-mans land.
I think you brought up a great point about Golden State. We talked about them tonight. I said I respect them for playing hard each night. Did you see Curry in the fourth quarter against Utah last night? Man!!!! It was one of his lower scoring games, but he refused to lose.
Give me guys who hate to lose over guys who like to win any day of the week and I'll beat your brains in. Not you specifically.........just a figure of speech or something like that. LOL

LOL yeah our problem are two fold for sure. 100% agree about our guards being craptastic at defense..Mo never was a good defender, now he's older so he's even worse, JR tries atleast and does make some good defensive plays when his head is in the game. delly is overmatched alot physically on defense..last night was one of those nights, but even all that doesn't excuse how bad our bigs are...namely mosgov..theres a reason he starts then gets yanked to never be heard from again..he just sucks right now, not sure if its the knee or what..but he is a straight up cupcake. On offense he has horrible awareness and hands and plays too much of a finesse game for a guy thats 7'1 260lbs. As much as I didn't really like the TT contract, you know what you're getting out of him every night. if he gets the ball under the basket he's trying to dunk it..thats exactly the right move..mosgov doesn't and I don't think he's ever won a jump tip.. I'm 100% ok with TT/andy...because those guys are giving you100% every play..not a secret that our run last night from 22 down came with those two on the floor and lebron on the bench

its not being fickle at all. This is the most talented team cleveland has ever had, but they are not playing to potential. I still think this team can bring a title, but the way they are playing now..theres no chance of that..they will get mowed down in the playoffs when things get physical

God you two are so damn fickle Fickle is a weird word to use. Are you saying we shouldn't discuss how the team is playing? Should everyone just shut the hell up until the playoffs start? That sounds like a dictators comment. Btw.........are you also saying that LeBron has never given up in the playoffs before? Just wondering?

Hopefully, by the time the playoffs roll around, we will have Kyrie, Shump, and Moz all back to full strength and ready to go.
Having Moz at (probably) less than 3/4 strength has really hurt our defense a lot. Not having Shumpert has also really hurt the defense. Without Kyrie, we are missing the guy who might just be our best shooter. He shot almost 47% from the floor, and 41.5% from 3 PT range. Without Kyrie, we have lost clutch shooting, and 21.7 PPG.
Shump is an outstanding defender, who can take a guy completely out of the opposition's plans. Missing him means that we are missing the guy who can challenge the better SG in the NBA.
Moz is a great defender, and one of the better pick and roll defenders. He is not rebounding like he did last year. He, like so many on our team, needs a return to health.
That is 60% of our starting lineup either out, or recovering from injury. (and still hurting as he does) That's hard for a team to overcome.
I think that we'll be in good shape once we get everyone back on the court.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

just saying. I think it was a trade that was a win-win for both teams. Wiggins is going to be a better long-term prospect, but the Cavs have a 3-5 year window with LeBron, and Love fits that situation better.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

I just didn't get why you insulted me.
You are a coach. You can't tell me you like how LeBron is playing. You can't tell me that you like guys who think they can turn it off and on. You can't tell me that you like it when guys turn it over and then not even bother to walk--never mind run---back on defense. You can't tell me that you like players who don't want to do what the coaches ask and then call players only meetings after that said player was the guiltiest player on the floor of not playing w/passion.
Can you?

Russell Westbrook is too much of a selfish shot chucker for me to take OKC serious as a title threat. Durant needs to leave ASAP. It's a 3 horse race between the Cavs, Spurs and Warriors.

him with john wall would be a serious threat to the cavs.

Beal, Gortat, Nene are nice pieces. Porter can get hot. They really could use a SF and who better than Durant?

him with john wall would be a serious threat to the cavs. Westbrook and Ibaka > Wall and Beal Eh..Westbrook is a chucker at times; if his shot isn't falling, he's like JR Smith in the sense that he'll shoot you out of a game in a hurry if you aren't careful. And then you add Dion Waiters to the mix? Good luck. Wall and Beal aren't always as consistent as they should be though, I'll admit that much.

I will say, as a coach that has had to get through nowhere near as long of a schedule as the 82 game schedule, plus playoffs, that these guys do, that it is a grind. Its a long season and you are going to have off nights. I will say this ... in cycling, and other sports, there is a thing called "peaking". If you want to win the Tour De France, you basically shut yourself down (although you stay in shape) for most the year and only really put in hard work for about three months before the start of the Tour. Those three months put you at your ultimate best for the month during the Tour. After that, your body starts to wear out and you can't operate at peak ability anymore. Now you can operate at around 80% or so and stretch out the duration that you can perform at that level, but you're also operating at just 80%. You see Olympians do this with their training schedule, they don't really start to get themselves into shape until just a few months before the Olympics. You'll occasionally hear a story of how a Boxer or a Runner burned themselves out from over-training in the build up before their big day. As much as the casual fan expects every athlete to give 110% every game, the human body is just not built to do that over an extended time. I think Lebron learned this when he went to Miami. Since he's gone there, he really takes it easy in the early months of the season. Around January or so, he starts to put in a bit more work and by April, he's full speed. He's done this for the last few seasons. I'm wondering if he expects his teammates to pick up the slack and win these "garbage" games in the early season, so he can save his body to go all-out when it matters. So, while I don't like to see Lebron and others being completely lazy, I can understand it. Everyone thought this team was a disaster last December until the team turned it on, and walked through everyone. If anything, we turned it on a little too early, and everyone started getting hurt and worn out by the time the playoffs hit. If we look like this in February or March, then I'll really be concerned. In the meantime, I'll live with a few losses and first-place in the EC. It's really meaningless so long as we have the top seed in the East. I'm also wondering how long Golden State can keep up this pace. They could very easily burn themselves out by Spring if they keep up their torrid pace.

What I dont get is why you take everything as an insult I'm sorry...........I did not realize that calling someone fickle was a compliment. Look...........I think the biggest difference between LeBron and guys like MJ, Kobe, Bird, Magic, Zeke, Russel, and even Curry is that LBJ does not hate to lose like those guys did/do. I am NOT asking you to agree, but I have "witnessed" LeBron quitting on his team in both Cleveland and Miami. And I sure as hell don't like him calling player's only meetings when I just "witnessed" him not even bothering to run back on D on several occasions in that very game.

I will admit I am not really much of a Lebron fan. I cheer for him because he is on my favorite team. He's not in the class of a Jordan,Bird. Magic, Kobe. I was referring to the team as a whole. I honestly dont know how these guys make it through an 82 game schedule. Even at a D1 college level between games, practice, and travel it is such a grind, and I didnt make all the road trips.
