i'm having a hard time remembering the people we have supported who didn't end up bombing us the moment they got what they wanted.

Are you saying this makes it ok to abandon them?

my personal opinion is that we should pull out of the middle east completely.

leave iraq, leave syria, leave afghanistan.

keep our NATO allies supported, and just make sure nothing spills over to ally nations.

but i'm done with these wars in the middle east.

they haven't worked. they will never work. those people need to figure it out on their own. that is a religion and culture that we as westerners will simply never understand.

hell i'm part turkish, and i don't fully understand it. i don't speak arabic, i'm not muslim, and i don't live there.

those 3 things combined, kinda makes sense that we as americans shouldn't really be trying to fix a region of the planet we have very little understanding of.

and even if you disagree, remember this:

I'm simply tired of sacrificing american lives for a region of the planet who absolutely hate us.

So what you are saying is we abandon the people we promised to support in Syria? Like all those who were slaughtered in South Vietnam after we abandoned them?

We allow Russia to run amok over the middle east without resistance?

We leave Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and everyone else over there to face the Russians, Iranians and Syrians alone?

You don't think this sends a message to the world that America is not to be trusted when you align yourself with us?

I'm saying I dont give a sh## about Syria...and I didnt say abandon an ally but until Russia is knocking on the door of who u listed..I DONT GIVE A CARE..

Man look I dont agree a ton with Swish but I lost a lot of brothers/family over in that dump...and we have no business being there.

Let the middle east deal with their middle east problems..and man I have family that lives over there but its their sh## to deal with.

I better stop...sorry for the profanity.

Ha, yeah Russia can "rum amok" across the Middle East without resistance...just like we have...

Do you understand that Syria was already important to the Russians, and a heavy Russian ally before the rebellion. Off the top of my head as far as strategic importance, them losing Syria would be like us losing Italy.

Like Swish said, let them waste their money on a futile premise.

No, you said "keep our NATO allies supported,"

That is Turkey. No one else over there is in NATO.

well i guess i meant all our allies. i thought saudi and kuwait was in NATO.

all well, the point still stands.

we can support them without doing the work for them. if they want to go on the offensive, that needs to be all on them.

You mean like this?

No one knows who this guy is, but I'd be surprised if he's not former military, either American or Israeli. At the very least, he's been trained professionally.

Basically.

This is something that special forces or navy SEALS can't handle

It's guys like the sniper who can pull it off. Because most likely, he is an Arab. If he is American or whatever than I'll be shocked, but I doubt it. You have to be completely imbedded into the region to pull that off.

I'm glad he's doing it, btw. Whoever he is.
