Yea, this was pretty bad. Rasheed blatenly pushed off on that play where he scored the go ahead basket. I mean it was pretty ridiculous. Lebron was almost none existant in the second half. We can't win games when Lebron doesn't show up in the second half. He was way too passive.

IMO, Mike Brown is one of the worst coaches at making adjustments. Why do you take Gibson out? He was playing stellar defense on Billups, knocking down shots, and getting the ball to open teamates. Brown never rides the hot player. It happens every single game. Someone is playing well, then Brown sits them and they practically don't even play the rest of the game. It's just so frustrating when you watch a team and know that they keep blowing oppourtunities. Really, this team is awful to watch. We completely blow every chance that we have. We could very easily be up 2-0 right now. Instead, we have to win 4 out of 5 to win the series. I have all the faith in the world, but I would be willing to bet $1,000 that this series is done.

i agree, i think gibson should be starting over hughes right now...

if the kid can hold his own on the defensive end, why not?

he's twice the shooter hughes is... he plays with more energy, and more urgency...

even before the refs blew this game, hughes was turning the ball over on key possessions... i'm really getting sick of him, and his ridiculous contract... he's a great guy, but i'm tired of it... he's playing like someone on a 10 day contract...

and you know what, the refs will probably give us calls in these next two games, but it doesn't matter, detroit has never blown a series when they've gone up 2-0

i feel bad for all the cavs fans everywhere, i don't know what else to say...

this isn't our usual curse, this is just horse crap...

I wish I had the extra 1,000 to bet you so I could lose, you would win, and that meant the Cavs got it done,....

But I ain't that endowed, and the Cavs ain't winning this one anyway.

Why is everyone blaming the refs? We played like crap tonight. The refs did not give up a 12 point lead, WE DID! The refs did not have 5 consecutive turnovers in the 4th, WE DID. The last play is irrelevant because the game should have NEVER of come down to the last play.

we played like crap because we don't have a point guard. trade hughes get some one who isn't an idiot with shooting and can make decent decisions and this team will go far.

I saw a point guard out there tonight......and a damn good one at that. Too bad Mike Brown didn't keep him on the ****** floor down the stretch.

Daniel Gibson was an absolute stud tonight, not only knocking down 3's but absolutely locking up Chauncey Billups for a long stretch of the second half. Too bad he spent the most important part of the game on the bench!

You guys can whine all you want about the closing minute, but the game should never have come down to that play.

I stand by what I said after th NCAA finals, it's going to be a heartbreaking year for Cleveland/Ohio sports. Bucks lose two championships, the Cavs are choking in the finals. I imagine a similar fate is in store for the Indians as well.

Well the good news is that we just want the Browns to win a few games this year, so hopefully they can achieve that for us!

They keep saying Anderson guarded well, guarded well my ass, can you say shove, almost elbow.

On hughes, man this guy sucks really bad, how did he even get into the NBA? Everytime I've seen him take a shot he misses, does he even practive or what? damn.

Sorry, just venting out my frustration over the two blown games. OOHHH I just want to scream obscenities!!!

what does it matter if it should or shouldn't have come down to that play?

they're on the road in a tough environment, they battled, put themselves in position to win, and had it taken from them by the refs...

what they did in those 3 previous quarters should have no bearing on that last 30 seconds...

what, you didn't think detroit was going to will their way from a 12 point defecit?

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Indians will choke and the Browns will yet again have a losing season.

It's our MO, we are made to fail. I don't care what sport it is. Sports in Ohio are a joke anymore. Hell they pretty much always have been.

Lebron will play out his contract and leave. It doesn'tmatter what that guy does. If he doesn't win he's scrutinized for everything he does. It will come to a point when the guy is going to get tired of it.

Well, it's either blame the refs or blame Mike Brown. But let's not put the blame where it really belongs ----- the crappy play by this team. They get a free pass........

and you think wherever he goes to, he won't be scrutinized??

calm down man...

lebron ain't goin nowhere...

cleveland sports is fine right now... we may not have the ring yet, but the tribe is doin well and the browns are on their way back...

the blame is put on the refs...

the cavs played bad, but so did the pistons...

they are lucky to be up 2-0 right now, and they know it...

i don't see how people can bring up anything but those last 30 seconds...

before this series started, we knew that every game was going to be a low scoring, defensive struggle, that probably went into the final minute or so...

so stats aren't going to be pretty... i mean, yes, the cavs have shot horribly... but chauncey billups has had 2 awful games, tayshaun prince has had 2 horrible games... and their bench hasn't been that great...

Might want to read my post again where I never mentioned the last minute (at least I don't think I did) but rather showed some of the horrible calls that were produced in the entire game. It was blatently obvious to everyone watching this game that the calls were leaning towards one side only.

BTW, does anyone have the Lebron rule book? I really want to read it cuz I need to know what is illegal when defending him.

i don't know if you know this or not, but close games are won in the last minute...

i knew when halftime came and we were up 12 that it wouldn't hold... detroit is a great team... the cavs gave up the lead, but battled...

and it shouldn't matter that they gave up the lead, they were in position to win the game...

I jumped a long time ago. Like soup said, I expect to fail, I have lost all faith in Cleveland sports. I'm not venting, it's the way i feel.

These teams play well enough to get you excited and feel optimistic, then just when it's time to wrap it up they fold and throw all your hopes down the crapper.

It's a sick, sick way to be. It's like the hottest girl youv'e ever seen and never thought you had a chance with being all over you and then just when your about to get it done she slaps you in the face and leaves you with blue balls, Yeah it's like that.

I have probably been a Cleveland sports almost twice as long as some on this board have been alive,.....

We do not have the killer instinct,....

Don't let yourself believe otherwise,...this series is over. I will be glad to be wrong in the event I am wrong.

Instinct is a killer.

And we don't have it.

Apparently you watched a different game than me. I saw a team that played poorly the entire second half. What was it? 4 points we scored in the first 7-8 minutes of the third quarter. We shown that we could dominate in the 2nd quarter, why not dominate in the 3rd and the fourth?

Seriously why do you even watch sports? All you ever do is bitch. When things go wrong you basically take the credit like you're the god of sports but when you're wrong you're no where to be seen. Give us all a break and seriously just go find something else to do. The Cavs may lose this series, the Indians might not win the World Series, the Browns might not make the playoffs, but if you're seriously going to cry in every single post you make you might want to find something better to do.

I really think that Mike Brown needs to go. I will give him credit, he is a great defensive coach, but he has no idea on how to run a team or an offense. Yes, some of the burden goes on the players, but if they aren't put in a system that allows them to suceed how can you expect them to? Brown always makes horrible substitutions. Anytime a bench player is playing well, Brown takes him out and the player is never heard from again. I mean what is his though process? Does he think that just because a guy starts the game that he must play the majority of the time? Gibson puts up better numbers than Hughes in half the time.

Hey, here's a brilliant idea. Let's bring in Eric Snow in a crucial time in the game when he's only played 8 seconds the entire game. Brilliant! I could go on and on. Mike Brown is not a coach that will take us to the next level.

because detroit played better?

they are the team favored to win this series, they are at home, and of course they were going to come back from 12 down...

but that doesn't mean that the refs just swallow their whistles after 2 very easy calls..

lebron is the star player, and should have been at the line on that last play...

they want this league built around superstars, but apparently not lebron james...

it wasn't about killer instinct tonight, it was about getting hosed with 30 seconds left and a lead...

we didn't have a killer instinct in game one, tonight was not the case, not even close...

Well my friend it seems like you have accepted mediocrity.

Quite frankly I can't not watch these teams, i'm hooked. I don't know why obviously i'm a fan (ya think) or maybe im a gluteon for punishment.

I know nobody is forcing me, but you know what. I'll watch them and I will continue to be po'd until they play the way they should.

Every Cleveland team has it's kryptonite and i'm sick of it. Cav's it's the Pistons, Browns it's the Steelers, Indians it's themselves.

If you want to pretend we played like all stars and were screwed over by the refs, you go ahead and think that. The Cavs cost themselves more points than the refs did.

Honestly either Mike brown needs to go or else they need to bring an offensive specialist in to help out or something.

Some of these players are going to have to be pushed out the door as well. Hughes, Damon Jones, Marshall.

I knew we weren't going to beat Detroit at home but these two games.......

ah hell with it, i'm tired of talking about it already.

nobody played like all stars tonight...

in a defensive game, like we've played tonight, and on monday, stats aren't going to be pretty...

so what, the pistons deserve this win, even though they cost themselves quite a few points, with all their dumb shots and turnovers... it's ok that they get bailed out by the refs?

that logic doesn't work

your logic that "only 30 seconds matter" does not work either. The game is 4 quarters for a reason.

Yeah I said that where. I just love how every person on this board that stays optimistic or maintains faith like to believe that they are somehow a better fan.

That's my last post tonight. Like I said i'm tired of talking about it already and this conversation is only making me more ticked off and iv'e had enough drama for one night.

I don't disagree with the statement that Snow is a very good defender, but the fact is that it is a very tall task to ask a player to come in who's only played eight seconds all game at a crucial moment. We have a point guard on this team, his name is Daniel Gibson. I understand that he is a rookie, but he was obviously doing a good job guarding Billups and knocking down shots when the team needed him to.

We consistantly play bad coming out of the second half nearly every game. Yes, some of it has to do with the players, but much of it has to do with the coach. It's simple really. Flip Saunders made adjustments at half and we did not. We had complete control of this game going into halftime and we lost it. I have to put that on the coach. Detroit made adjustments to stop Lebron and we did nothing to counteract that. Mike Brown is a good coach, but I just don't see him being able to take us to the next level.

we just need a true point guard...

don't blame damon jones either, he's been great in the very short time he's gotten, he's even played better defense...

hughes? yes, he's been bad... but he's here until at least the second last year of his contract, because nobody wants to take that thing off our hands...

marshall played better tonight, but as a whole, he's been bad...

i think gibson is going to be the point guard of the future for this team.. you can see it with him, but he just doesn't have the experience right now, which is what we need, because we're a series away from the finals, but right now, i don't see the harm in it, because larry hughes brings nothing but bad ball handling and bad shot selection... what do we have to lose?

i feel like this series is over because the cavs have their backs to the wall, they have to win both of these games...

but if you think about it, if they can get this thing back 2-2 (and they did that last year after two blowout losses in detroit) then they have a chance...

but regardless of what venue this is being played in, lebron has to get those calls in the final seconds... i don't understand how dwyane wade got all those calls last year (setting a finals record for ft attempts) and lebron gets nothing... the calls were better tonight in the first part of the game, but in the last possession, he has to get that call...

like i said, the nba wants their league built around the superstar player, but they aren't letting lebron be the superstar...

the cavs showed us tonight that they aren't going down without a fight, how many people said on here that they'd get blown out after losing a tough game like they did on monday? they came out just like they did on monday...

they went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the game, on their home court...

i'm still supporting this team, even though i feel like we've been robbed of a golden chance at winning the series...

how are piston fans feeling? they know if they play like this against san antonio, they're done...

the cavs are different because they're defense has been spectacular...

detroit's hasn't, even though we haven't been a scoring machine, the cavs are playing straight up defense, while detroit is just throwing 3 guys at lebron constantly...

if you throw 3 guys at tim duncan, good luck with that... you're done in 4 games.
