No. I think it's awesome when your QB is your leading rusher. How could that ever be a bad thing.... lol Just ask RG3. Running QB's NEVER get hurt. And when they do and they can't run anymore? Why they're even better.... smile

Happy for this team. They hung in and looked like they have not quit.

Now, finishing off Pittsburgh next week would be nice!

OK...Jets need to win in OT. Steelers could be in trouble after losing.

its in the Patriots interest to lose this game to the Jets

Howso? They've got a chance to knock the Steelers pretty much out of the playoffs if they let the Jets win today.

edit.

Jets win, Pitt loses. KC wins
Pitt can't catch Cincinnati now.

There's at least a small chance the Jets, Chiefs are in and Pitt would be out.

If I am not mistaken, today went about as badly as possible for the Steelers.

They lost, and both the Chiefs and Jets won. The Steelers are now on the outside looking in, and no longer control their own destiny.

He was pretty awful this game.

Everything he had learned up to this game seemed to go out the window.

When the coaches allowed him to go backyard football mode, his passing game continued to get worse.

Having said that, he's a young QB who I believe will continue to get better with more playing time. He's a unique talent that brings a unique skill set to the table. Continue to work with him and develop him, and we will be rewarded.

When you consider the time of posession in the first half, I am surprised this game was this close.

What if no one was open? Maybe not have a 90 year old official spotting the ball? I'm with CHS, and have felt thus way for a white that the college rule of stopping the clock on a first down is the right way to do it.

I don't want to write him off yet, but I'm wondering if he spends the off-season working on the thousand flaws in his game, in rehab again, or just parties the entire off-season.

If the Browns had kicked the fg with 9:30 to go when Manziel scrambled on 4th and 2 for a first down.

Then they would have been kicking off with 9+ minutes to go, instead of 8:30 to go when they kicked the good field goal.

None. It's basic math. If everything is the same except one thing, does that thing make a difference? Well, the scientific method tell us that it does.

OK thanks. You know Rex is gonna have his team ready since he can spoil the Jets party with a win. Steelers are gonna be in Cleveland and really pissed off.

Let's change the NFL rules because the Browns have found another unique way to lose? Let's change the rules that on 50 yard or more field goal attempts the opposing team is not allowed to rush the line. Or let's change the forward pass rules. Or....

Spotting the ball on the last play and NFL rules regarding stopping the clock aren't the problem. It makes no sense to use one of a dozen or more mistakes as the reason we lost and then blame THAT on NFL rules. Denial is not a river in Egypt.

Sure they're problems. We're not making any excuses, just pointing out a lousy rule. If the point of the game is to keep officiating out of it, then why run the clock because they're setting up. In college they stop the clock at first down and start it as soon as they place the ball.

Keep Farmer, keep Pettine, keep Johnny and make him the starting QB. LET them learn and grow into champions. We keep drafting rookie QB's, hiring rookie GM's, and hiring rookie head coaches and if we don't have a Lombardi Trophy by their second season we change everything.

Case in point...Carolina Panthers. He gave his staff support.

And if we fire everyone again, who n their right mind would take the job? The worse our turnover history gets with GM's and head coaches the more the pool of prospects shrinks.

Unfortunately, I don't really know what to think of Manziel.

He definitely has talent, but it sounded like he had numerous passes in today's game that were way, way off the mark.

Was that because he is just inaccurate, can't throw in bad weather, makes mistakes reading the play in motion, or has receivers whop run routes incorrectly, I just don't know. Since it happened with a couple of different receivers, I would guess that it was either that he can't throw in bad weather, is inaccurate, or can't read a play in motion. (or any combination of the 3)

However, then I look at what we have at WR ..... Travis Benjamin being our only receiver who has played (somewhat) consistently well this year ..... with Gabriel having struggled, and then having Bowe, Jennings, and Moore playing more minutes than they should. Ugh. How does any QB win with that, especially against a top defense like the Chiefs, and playing in bad weather?

I still think that Manziel has potential to be good, but maybe he would be better in a dome.

*sigh* Unfortunately, I see us going back to square one next year, and probably with an inexperienced, 1st time head coach, and a 1st time GM ........ and tearing down what little we have to start over again.

Get ready for the next 5 year plan. banghead
