Yeah, I turned it off at 31-3. Dang. Watching now though.

I left the game on .... 31-0 at the half ..... and TCU comes all the way back to win!

Just incredible!

Part of the reason that SEC was/is so successful is because most of the time in the bowl games they are pitted against lesser teams. Look at the TaxSlayer Bowl, you had a 9-3 Georgia who were a preseason top 10 team going against a 7-5 Penn St. team who struggled to go .500 in the Big Ten. You also had the Belk Bowl in which you had an 8-4 Mississippi St. team that was in and out of the top 25 all year long against a 7-5 NC St. team that didn't even go .500 in the ACC. And again in the Advocare Texas Bowl you had a an 8-3 LSU team that was rated in the top 25 against a Texas Tech team that finished below .500 in the Big 12.

In the Cactus Bowl, ASU WR Devin Lucien is making an impression. I hadn't heard of him before, so I looked him up on the CBS cite, and they have him ranked as the 82nd WR, well into the undrafted territory.

That is still cherry picking stats.

Tennessee was ranked #23 and destroyed #13 Northwestern. 6-6 Auburn beat Memphis who was ranked most of the season.

Besides the narrative was the SEC was over rated and not very good this year. They went 3-1 vs the Big Ten including dominating the Big Ten Champion, 3-0 vs the Big 12, and winning 6 games by more than 21 points. Setting a record with 8 bowl wins up to this point. Alabama still has 1 game remaining.

You keep saying cherry picking, but again, simply stating a conferences bowl record is misleading.

People were saying how great the PAC 12 was because they were 5 and 2. I think they ended up 5 and 4, but their wins were against:

Iowa
Air Force
BYU
Miami
New Mexico

Only the Iowa win was a quality win.

Two of the better teams lost to Big 10 teams that weren't all that good in the Big 10----Nebraska and Wisconsin.

My point is that you have to look at MORE than just the conference bowl record. And if you aren't, than you are cherry-picking.

I'll give you Tennessee beating Northwestern, that was a quality win, but Auburn beat an over rated Memphis team that had lost 3 of their last 4 games before the Bowl game. In another Bowl you had Arkansas (7-5) against a Kansas St. (6-6) team that only won 3 games in the BIG 12. So that is 5 games out of the 8 wins the SEC has that they probably should have won any ways. In the 4 games the SEC teams played opponents equal to them they went 2-2, Bama over Michigan St., Ole Miss over Oklahoma St., A&M lost to Louisville, and Florida lost to Michigan.

For me it was that Boise St./Oklahoma game. Toledo over Michigan is probably next.

Clemson is a VERY good team. I just worry if their passing attack will keep Bama honest with the run game.

I have Bama in a blowout (think OSU vs. ND).

Might as well start watching Goff highlights until April with Hue being hired.

Brady Hoke got hired as Oregon's defensive coordinator. Weird.

Hoke isn't a bad coach. He just shouldn't be a big name team coach.

I agree. I just thought it was weird because he has no ties to Oregon and hasn't been a defensive coordinator since 1982.
