Forgot to mention, although not a stellar outing, Sabathia raises his record to 7-1.

Couldn't ask for more.

Dellucci finally comes up BIG!

And I'll tell you what, there may be some doubters, and already fans that want to replace him, but where would we be without JoeB?

It's a mystery why Ryan Garko isn't playing everyday. I mean the guy can hit! With Power too!

it kinda blows that we go into boston, and cc won't be starting, as well as carmona, who i'm sure wants revenge against boston...

if i'm correct, it will be lee, sowers, and byrd...

i really don't like the look of that series with those 3

8 walks, 2 hit batsman, the bases loaded 3 consecutive innings and yet the Reds can only manage 2 runs

EDIT: Nice series by the Tribe so far, hopefully they sweep tomorrow

Sure, Selig has time to discuss whether he should go see Barry Bonds, but not fine a team for saying this?

Yeah they used to atleast give us half of a competetive season. This year it was for one week, I feel cheated out of my half of season.

Oh well, Hafner could brighten the baseball day up a bit for me with a round tripper and a couple hits for one of my fantasy teams.

Nice start for the Tribe.

Pronk crushed that pitch. Too bad there was no height to it, the thing was a laser that hit the wall.

What's crazy about this hot start (31-17) is that if the Indians only play .500 baseball from here on out, they'll still win 96 games. I hope that would at worst get them a WC spot.

I think the WC will definitely come out of the Central this year.

I had to laugh when I read on another site that Andy Marte should be the Tribe's early season MVP. The poster said that if he had NOT gotten injured, they probably wouldn't be in first place at this point.

That was a fun weekend in Detroit. Our seats for the Friday night game were in the first row behind the Tribe dugout. Got some great photos and a foul ball, plus we made ESPN after both Tribe HRs. Great to get the sweep. It was hilarious walking out of there. I had a radio with me, turned it on and caught the end of the Cavs victory. Those fans on the way out were as quiet as I've ever heard...

I have heard this team compared to 1995. What was their record at this same point in 95?

Big difference between the 2, we have starting pitching now! And a lot of it. A few changes in the pen and look out!

i think the scary thing is, this team, over the past 3 or 4 years, has played way better baseball in the second half of the year, it's just been the first 2-3 months of the year when they fall out of it...

but now that they're starting to seperate themselves a little bit, they could be preparing themselves for one hell of a run...

for all the talk about how great the AL central is, the tribe has gone 13-4 in the division...

at that pace, there won't be much of a race for this division...

i will give the tigers the benefit of the doubt, their bullpen is really, really thin right now...

In '95 we had one of the top pitching staffs in the majors.
