You're just a hater! You have no way of knowing JFF has a drinking problem or went to rehab for drinking. I mean his parents have only been trying to get him to stop since high school.
He's just a kid and this is all the Browns fault!
What are you trying to do? Expect accountability from him?
You mean you aren't making excuses for his behavior? What's wrong with you!?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

From the article: What does Manziel want? It’s hard to get that question answered before answering the first one: “Wheeere’s Johnny?’’
The only reason the media wants to know where Johnny is right now is so they can continue their dirt digging crusade.
Doubt that?
Then why do they not care of the whereabouts of any of the other 52 guys on the roster?
By the end of the article it sounds like Johnny's home and chooses not to talk to the media at this time. And the writer knew that BEFORE writing the article but still pushes the mystery of "Wheeere's Johnny?" as though he doesn't know.

Wow..............you have such good football knowledge, but you tarnish it all by posting crap like that article or whatever it is. Rumors, speculation, rehashing the same old crap.
It's like a Salem witch hunt.

Whoever was selling that Vegas video missed their opportunity can't imagine the click revenue being worth as much as just two weeks ago. Unless Johnny bought it from them :-)
So after ditching his teammates - the most concrete "bad stuff" we have on him is he was dropped by Lebrons marketing co / bought wine / played pool
Talent wise in a camp competition between Johnny and Goff - my money is still on Johnny
He is under contract make him earn his money - my position is the only thing the kid likes better than partying is winning football games (that high is awesome). If we would have embraced off the field Johnny I am sure he would have recalibrated himself by now - he could be drinking beer / eating skittles and winning playoff games.

Maybe it was of such poor quality that it's value is zilch.
As for the "most concrete bad stuff we have on him"...it's obvious that Johnny still has some serious issues that he may need some help with.

Report: Nike considering dropping Johnny Manziel Originally posted on Larry Brown Sports By Steve DelVecchio | Last updated 1/12/16 link The Cleveland Browns are not the only organization that is thinking about cutting ties with Johnny Manziel. TMZ reports that Nike is “on the fence” about Manziel and is considering dropping the quarterback from its client roster. “We are worried about him and hope things will turn around in the right direction … but we are on the fence if [our relationship] will continue,” a highly-placed Nike source told TMZ. Manziel has continuously made himself look bad by putting himself in compromising situations and allowing his party-boy antics to be shared all over social media. His behavior recently resulted in LeBron James’ marketing agency distancing itself from Johnny Football, and Nike could be next. As many of you know, Manziel is rumored to have gone to Las Vegas the night before the Browns played their final game of the season. One report claims he went to a nightclub wearing a disguise in hopes of remaining anonymous. That led to some of the best photoshops and memes we have ever seen. With Manziel having gone to alcohol rehab over the summer and now drinking again (the Christmas Eve video proved that), we are left to conclude that he has a drinking problem. He may also be trying to force the Browns to cut him. If that’s the case, getting dropped by Nike could be an unintended consequence of the 23-year-old’s actions.

Maybe this will help to wake him up...
He is destroying his own image and the only way he can turn this trend around is get serious about his problems.
Now is when we find out what kind of man Johnny Manziel is. Does he have the intelligence and drive to overcome his demons?
This is no longer about a college party boy just going through a stage in his life. It's about a man whose life is being controlled and destroyed by his own demons.
Does Johnny Manziel have the internal strength to beat alcoholism?

Nothing is going to turn Manziel around. He beats to his own drum. That drum may be considered by some to be beating by demons, but Manziel doesn't care enough about football to change, and that's the bottom line. That's the only thing that will get him to change, and since he doesn't care about it enough, he won't change.
The only other thing that might get him to turn his life around is a good woman and a child. He's probably several years away from that ...and it will be too little, too late.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Or is the playoffs enough news for the BOZO's so their shell game messing with Manziel's life is not as news worthy?

With Manziel having gone to alcohol rehab over the summer and now drinking again
So this guy has specific proof that Manziel went to the rehab place for Alcohol as in alcoholic.
I think it could be so but I wouldn't say it as fact unless I was 100% certain. Then again I am not a Sports Journalist. They are allowed to make stuff up.

At this point, as much as it pains me to say this because i think Manziel has talent...we need to trade him ASAP.
His incident with his G/f and the drunk driving thing...had that been the Highway Patrol instead of some local cop, JM would have went to jail that night, its almost 100% certain.
I think JM is a ticking time bomb, he is either going to hurt him self, kill someone in a drunk driving accident like that WR of ours did a few years back, get into some realy bad domsetic dispute with his GF who has issues of her own.
Long story short, nothing good is going to come of this for the Browns...we need to trade him for what we can get, and move on with a different Qb at this point...there is too many risk factors that are outside of the Browns control to risk the future of their franchise on guy who clearly has some very deep seeded problems. I mean going to Vegas in a disguise when your supposed to be at a Dr? i mean really?
Just trade him and be finished with it, let him be someone else's problem...odds are he ends up in big time trouble in the not too distant future simply because i don't think he can help it...he feels he is untouchable and that reality is going to come to a crashing end soon, and I don't want him on this roster when it does, we have enough problems, we don't need anymore.

Since placed on IR he has been a total distraction. I mean he missed a training session and my goodness he got a ticket for expired tags. Plus there is this video that no one has seen that shows manziel partying in vegas. Even worse he has newspapers on his doorstep.
I dont know at this rate, i fully expect Manziel to burn Cleveland to the ground and join a terrorist group. Run away here comes johnny lol
OO and knight has a good point. He is such a manipulator, he was able to control his speech and mannerism to appear sober but it was obvious he was drunk and the cops were under the spell of the evil Manziel.
To make matters worse he is a white guy drinking malt, dancing and rapping. My goodness borderline terrorist i tell ya.

It is highly recommended (maybe even a rule) that you provide a link so you did good and thanks for sharing.
A couple of things from memory.
What he wrote about Manziel in the girlfriend affair being stopped. He made it look that it was about Manziel drinking was so bad that the "DISTRAUGHT" girlfriend police released a report in October stating Manziel had acknowledged drinking alcohol before an argument with his girlfriend. The argument led police to pull over the car in which Manziel was driving and his distressed girlfriend was in the front passenger seat. 1. wasn't the car already stopped on the side of the road and not pulled over?
2. as mentioned they describe the GF as distressed like he was going crazy and assaulting her. What a terrible job of journalism...what the police stated was SHE was stinking drunk and Manziel who admitted to drinking 2 beers earlier at a BBQ was fine. She was the one out of control. “It’s a joke,’’ said John “Big Dawg’’ Thompson, a well-known Browns fan. “Nobody even wants him in Cleveland.’’I've seen these guys before...I'm in NY and this guy Fireman Ed became a jerk thinking he was something special. Where does this guy get off speaking for me or anyone else - NOBODY eve wants him here???
I won't insult him like I want to cause he might be a poster on this board...
Lets get this hire done after the Pats lose in the coming weeks. Start with the football and it would be nice if Patricia keeps Flip and Oconnel not just for Manziel and continuity but if we draft another QB they seem to be great for the development. Things are hectic for us as fans...imagine the emotions going on with the players with no HC or GM to wrap anything around and work for.

Oh yes, you brought up something that seems to be a red flag. He admitted to having a drink to the officers... does anyone find this odd knowing it was reported that Manziel lied to his coaches about partying? If he lied about partying to his coaches (yes, which came after the g/f incident), why wouldn't he lie about having a drink then driving? If he went to rehab for alcohol and wasn't suppose to drink at all, wouldn't you think he'd lie about this incident as well? Or is he just a selective liar? Or is this not significant? It's a shame it's come to this, and maybe his own doing, but he's probably the only non-playoff quarterback right now where all the media is concerned about what he's doing.

Lying to his coaches was a different incident.
bye weekend - they give the a long weekend and all report back on Monday for film.
Manziel in his words was that he would be mellow back home and come back Saturday Night and get into Berea on Sunday and get a head start on all watching film as this was the beginning of his era and to be from then till the end of the season.
He didn't show up Sunday - he ended up having a private party at a club on Saturday night (couldn't say no) and came in late flight on Sunday...showed up Monday Morning with the rest.
Pictures started popping up they called him in the office and he claimed that it was OLD Pictures resurfacing on the Internet. He got the DJ at the private party to make a public media statement (twitter???) saying those pics were old ones....when that went public (viral?) many many people started sending in pics showing that it was not old but on Saturday...so that the truth came out and the Coaches felt betrayed....so they benched him and started Davis instead. 2 games he missed then he got his last chance.
Pretty much how I recollect that it happened.
just an FYI

The following is from the article you posted titled, "Where's Johnny? Concern grows for Manziel",...
"Manziel’s high school buddy answered the door, said he would ask Manziel if he was willing to talk and later reemerged.
“It’s just not something that he’s prepared to do at the time,’’ he said."
So before the article was published the author knew Johnny was home and not prepared to talk to the reporter. Still, he titles the article "Where's Johnny..." I guess that sounds more news worthy than "Johnny's home. Doesn't want to talk to me"

The author of the article rarely writes the headline. The headlines are meant to draw attention and gain clicks. There are some meaningful things to be gleaned from the article, but most of the article is not new news (to us at least). Most of the country does not follow the Browns like we do on this board, so the information in the article can be useful to them.

I didn't know that about who writes the headlines. It's pretty dang deceiving to write a headline asking a question of which they already know the answer and that answer proves the question invalid.

Uh oh. I'm guessing this is one of the final straws: Bernie Kosar has reached out to Johnny Manziel in hopes of talking to the troubled Cleveland Browns quarterback.
One problem: Manziel hasn’t returned the messages.
“I’m embarrassed to even tell you how many times I tried.’’ Kosar, the beloved former Browns quarterback, told USA TODAY Sports Tuesday. “I have tried to call him directly 18 different ways. If he chooses not to talk to me, that’s his choice.
“I’m not mad at him. But there’s a point where there’s an element of respect that’s involved.’’
Kosar said he thinks excessive partying could lead Manziel, 23, to squander his NFL career.
“That’s definitely a possibility,’’ said Kosar, 52, who played for the Browns from 1985-93 and is the team’s second all-time leading passer. “I’m not saying he doesn’t have a chance to change, but that’s a possibility.’’
Manziel, who spent more than 10 weeks in rehab last spring for an undisclosed substance abuse problem, has acknowledged drinking alcohol since. And when Manziel lied to team officials about a drinking episode during the season, he was demoted to third string.
More recently, he drew scrutiny for being in Las Vegas the Saturday before the team’s regular-season finale and then skipping the game and a mandatory concussion evaluation on Sunday. Kosar said he was perplexed about Manziel missing the game, even though Manziel was inactive because he was in the league’s concussion protocol.
“I can’t comprehend him not wanting to be" at the game, Kosar said, “because maybe he’ll pick something up, maybe he’ll get the intensity of it, maybe he’ll learn a trick play, maybe he’ll see what you’re going to have to do hopefully next year and show your commitment to the team.’’
If he could talk to Manziel, Kosar said he would share advice he got from Howard Schnellenberger, Kosar’s coach when he played at the University of Miami. Kosar said Schnellenberger stressed the importance of a quarterback’s behavior.
“If you are not doing the right thing, you can’t expect the rest of the team to,’’ Kosar recalled Schnellenberger saying. “That advice has always stuck with me, and I would love to tell Johnny that. He could use it.’’ http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl...m-off/78689942/

I'm a total Kosar fan. Maybe to the degree that he can do no wrong. However, having said that, I don't think Kosar talking to the press about Manziel is going to endear himself to Johnny. If I'm Johnny I'm concerned that if I did talk to him would Kosar tell the press details of what we talked about and quote me in the process?

I'm not sure how people can't believe there's a serious problem here.
Pettine said he had a lot of things to resolve during the off season.
LeBron dropped him.
Nike considering dropping him.
Didn't show up for concussion protocol.
Didn't show up for last game.
Parents have been trying to get him to quit drinking since high school.
There's just too much evidence there for me to believe JFF doesn't have a lot of personal issues that are hurting his career.

By the way, Bernie made quite an ass of himself at the Clinton fundraiser this past weekend here in Cleveland....just an FYI.

Has anyone heard from him since the last game...anything? Not even a drunken stupor? Not a fan of his, but he is at home with his family not wanting to be bothered with insulting questions like yours. He has enough problems without haters. This outcome was likely for him when he started twisting the truth about his girlfriend while in rehab, as was stated earlier last Spring.
