A few thoughts on the game:

--I am very pleased w/how the Cavs played. Man, there was very little ISO, no pounding nails, no forced lat-shot clock heaves. Instead, the ball movement was excellent. Guys were into it offensively. We got a lot of great looks because of it. It's amazing they adapted so quickly. I'm hoping the light came on.

--Love's rebounding was huge.

--Our point guards on the ball defense is tough to watch. Kyrie and Delly got owned by Paul. Man!

--LeBron made some very good passes out of double teams.

--JR is playing well for us. He's a huge threat when he is hot and he is putting the ball on the floor more.

--Moz played his best game in a long time.

--I think we certainly contend w/GS and SA if we continue w/this style of play. Ball movement over ISO!!!! fingerscrossed

It's games like this that really make me wonder if the Cavs are truly just playing down to SA and GS to lull them into a false sense of security come Finals time. I mean we KNOW they can move the ball, play defense, and grind out a tough game, but when they've played those two, it's almost like they wanted to coast. I'm hoping that's the case and that there isn't some sort of mental road-block that's just causing them to play those two teams scared.

It *is* Chris Paul. He'll make a lot of PGs look bad on defense.

JR has been playing great as of late. I really just wish the Refs in the league would drop their whole vendetta they apparently have against him this year.

He's slowly getting better, but just when you think he's back to form, he'll brain-fart and do a bunch of dumb/bad things in a row and erase an 8 point lead. He's really an enigma at this point. I hope he figures it out. I know a lot of people want to trade him for something, but I don't know what we'd get in return that would really "fix" anything. Who's going to trade a better center for a struggling center?

I thought people would have been more excited about this game. They really played well. The ball movement was outstanding. So fun to watch. We are such a better team when we move the ball as opposed to ISO ball.

I think that the Cavs are very fun to watch when they actually do move the ball. They also become a much more unpredictable and dangerous team, especially when all five guys on the floor can contribute.
Like you, I hate when they play ISO ball. I think that's a lot of the reason that K Love struggles. When the offense flows, like last night, he gets 18 and 16. When there's a lot of ISO, he struggles to get touches and looks.

JR Smith will be another big benefactor of moving the ball.

I think it helps everyone. Here's why:

--you get better looks because the D gets out of position

--knowing that you will get the ball helps. We all have played w/a ball hog. It's no fun watching someone dribble, dribble, dribble. Knowing you will get the ball keeps you ready.

--the defense gets tired from having to run around so much and you can exploit that later in games.

--the tempo is faster and that should help a team like the Cavs that has more talent than almost every--if not every single--team in the league.

I'm excited.

J.R definitely benefits from it, but I think the whole team, from TT to Delly, Shump, etc does, too. When the ball moves, you don't see as much bad shot selection and it seems like everyone is really just playing loose and having fun. I know it sounds weird, but they all seem to have a twinkle in their eyes when the offense is flowing.

They also signed Lue to a multi year extension..

Me thinks this wasnt an on the whim decision.

Blatt was hired to coach a young team lead by Kyrie and Wiggins.

I'm not trying to make excuses for either side.

But if Cleveland had known LeBron was ganna come back, they never would have hired Blatt.

Now we have Huey and Luey as Cleveland's HCs. All we need is Duey for the trifecta.

I am so incredibly angry right now, I think I might have a vein or two bust. He might not be the greatest coach, but LeBron has completely overstepped his bounds. I will now root for this team to lose until he is gone...

I said this several days ago, Blatt wasn't brought in to coach this team, that being said. I don't see how Lue is much better. Defense has easily been our weakest area and he coordinates that. Only in Cleveland can you be in first place and get fired. I'm not sure I've ever seen it. I think he was slated to be coach of east in ASG

This smells a lot like Lebron, and if true. I rather trade him and just rebuild

Yeah, who wants to make the NBA finals for a second consecutive year..

We need tons of lottery picks, like Philly, I'm sure their fans are enjoying the NBA season..

Jason Lloyd tweeted a lot about this, and it was a locker room thing, not just a Lebron thing.

Talked to couple vets, came "this close" to writing locker room story after Portland. But #Cavs won at Phx & kept winning, so I backed off

Jason Lloyd ‏@JasonLloydABJ 3m3 minutes ago
Was told repeatedly, "as long as we're winning, there's no story." Guys tolerated Blatt when #Cavs won, blamed him when they lost.

David Blatt told friends in Israel last week, "It's either me or Kevin Love." Just surprised LeBron didn't decide sooner...

That should make Kevin feel all warm and cozy.

Wait, does that mean Blatt wasn't getting along with Kevin Love? Or Lebron wants both of them gone?

I also wondering what this means for rotations. Does Mozgov get traded within the hour? Does Delly go to the bench? Does James Jones get major minutes?

Despite positive comments publicly, there had been unrest growing in Cavs locker room. Frankly, it had been there since almost day one.

I take that to mean that Love and Blatt were not connecting. At all.

I took it as one of Blatt or Love were going to be gone. The person in charge was unhappy with them.

Jason Lloyd (Akron Beacon Journal) has said that there is far too much to the story for Twitter, and that he will have the story up shortly.

I also have to wonder if Blatt goes somewhere else. He was all set to be an assistant at Golden State before Cleveland gave him the Head Coaching gig. Does he go back there now, just to stick it to Lebron?

My whole problem is Lue isn't any better. This move doesn't make much sense right now

Yeah, he's supposed to be the "defensive mind" behind the Cavs, and that's been a big part of the problem.
