But when Ferran Soriano, Barcelona's vice president at the time of the Miami bid, was appointed Manchester City CEO in August 2012, Garber reached out to him about a New York City team.[14] In December 2012, unnamed sources told the media that Manchester City were close to being announced as the new owners of the 20th team of MLS, and the brand name "New York City Football Club" was trademarked, although the club quickly denied the report.[15] The BPL would never get into the MLS!

I don't get why travel would be a concern.
NBA, NHL, and MLB players travel a helluva lot more than this. They play on back-to-back days where they'll often finish the first game, go directly to the airport, land at 3-4am, get a few hours sleep, and then have to start preparing for that night's game (AND everyone expects them to play well too).
An NFL team would be traveling to London many days before the game. I don't see the problem. They'll be flying with the best accommodations and won't be expected to play the following day, and maybe not playing for two whole days on top of that.

The London team would need to spend half their season in the U.S.A. They'd need facilities in the U.S. It isn't practical. There are many cities right here in the U.S. waiting for their chance to get a NFL team. If they want american football let them start their own league, call it... UKFU

There are many cities right here in the U.S. waiting for their chance to get a NFL team. Again, those are cities that ALREADY watch the NFL. It's not new money for the league (or not enough compared to the new money London may bring if the move works).

Thanks deputy
I let the whole thing play to revel in the nostalgia
Then replayed it and burst in on the kids strumming the air guitar till they joined in
... Now they are insisting on watching teen wolf before bed time
Back to the subject - Jacksonville will move in 2025 till then we will just be ramping to a game abroad every week of the regular season I wouldn't mind going to London to watch the browns in the first internationally hosted Super Bowl

This is only personal preference, but I feel like part of the appeal of NFL speaking as a Brit is the 'Americanness', or 'otherness' if you will, of the sport to British eyes.
It is a great thing that regular season games come over to London every season for UK fans undoubtedly, but I am not sure that the equation 'more games + new team = expanding fanbase' will ring true in practice.
Realistically, because of the timing of games for those watching in GMT, NFL games aren't really competing against other sports in the UK schedule. Watching the Browns online never clashes with my Aston Villa season ticket, for example. If that starts getting moved around for TV concerns back in the US then all of a sudden games will be competing for spectators with soccer and, to a lesser extent, rugby.
This is fine for a once-a-year trip to Wembley stadium, but in the long run I'm not sure there's the market yet for a new NFL franchise to win that contest.

You could have teams going to London play there after a bye week. You could have the London team only making 3 trips across the pond with 2-3 game and 1-2 game road trip.
Ok, scratch that, serious competitive advantage always playing teams coming off by weeks, logistic issues abound.

Some logistics things.
Look to other codes. Super Rugby has a league based system encompassing South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and now for this coming season, teams in Japan and Argentina. They will travel to different countries and tour usually a few games at a time. It could be done in the NFL but not in the current scheduling as you know it.
Cost of living. The double tax thing. How about an increased cap or wage; call it a "London" allowance like they have in Sydney for the AFL. The increase creates parity with players across the pond. If the NFL wants it done for whatever reasons and they are committed, then there are always ways around getting it done.
This post doesn't mean I support it btw, just musing on the subject. Some good points ,are in the discussion though.
