That's been the key quarter in most of the playoff games for the Cavs. They can't come out flat. Attack the rim, don't settle for jumpers, and force Detroit into foul trouble.

Whoever the color guy for TNT is, he hit it right on the head. Without a shooter on the floor, Detroit collapses on LeBron. The lineup should be Gibson-Sasha-LeBron-Gooden-Z/Varejao (depending on the matchup) for the rest of the night.

i love mike brown, but i can't understand, especially after 3 games in the same playoff series, that he HAS to go with his starting 5...
it doesn't say anywhere in the rule book that you have to start the second half, with the same guys you started the first half with...
especially for a guy like mike brown, who understands adjustments...
it's pretty simple, this team is in the plus when gibson and varejao are on the floor...
and gooden's jumper is going down, why did they go away from that?

You know, I have been thinking about the whole 3rd quarter thing and I thought maybe the CAVS get a lil too relaxed or something. Then one of the TNT guys said the CAVS don't warm up long enough or something like that.

IMO our 3rd quarter woes stem from an overly defensive approach to the second half---something like: "OK guys, we are scoring points---but now we need to focus on buckling down on D." In a way steering our guys into a game plan that stresses reaction to the other team instead of keeping the game going with our own pace.
We start waiting for them to do their thing, letting them dictate the game offensively rather than keeping up our our offensive strategy.
