I just flipped on Fox, and they are saying that South Carolina looks like it could be much closer between Trump and Cruz that anyone thought possible.

I think that Trump has really hurt himself with some of the stuff he has said, from the SC debate, forward.

CNN's ticker says 73% are evangelical/born again Christians. Seems that would hurt Trump and favor Cruz.

I agree with you but if Trump does happen to win in the South, that will be the last thing that can stop him.

They all have their projections models, and once they start seeing trends in certain areas, combined with their exit polling, they decide to call a race, and can often do so quickly.

I do like it on those rare occasions when they have to take a projection back though. lol

Hell they might be...I didnt like Trump at first. But after listening to him for a bit...and what a friend in the know told me..I'm voting for him...meh..dont care how anyone views that...I'm excited to see if he can do it...and see if he holds true to his views and what he says he will do.

Kasich has no reason to drop out until after Ohio. Why would he?

If nothing else, if he pulls off a strong win in Ohio, then whoever wins the nomination has to strongly consider him for VP.

Plus, one other actor to consider ..... while Trump has already been coronated by some. but he is a long way from the nomination.

The winner needs 1237 delegates to win the nomination. Trump has 55. Cruz has 11, Rubio 10, Kasich 5, Bush 4, and Carson 3.

We are a long,long way from the nomination, and despite some pundits and candidates calling this a 3 man race now ...... Kasich has no reason to drop out. He's not spending a ton of money, and he is heading into friendly territory.

Bush got out because his donors are cutting off the cash flow. He brought out the big guns, GWB and his mother, spent a ton of money, and he still fell flat.

You think he can win Ohio?? VP?? my God I hope not...anything is possible and your right it is a long process.

I heard the talking heads say earlier that no republican candidate has lost the nomination after winning New Hampshire and S. Carolina...so lets see if history holds true...or I misheard..but I dont think so.

He watched too much Sally Fields growing up, and he thought "My heavens, I want to fly just like her one day!"

My wife was Catholic...her family is devout catholic...and none of them can stand this pope...I couldnt marry my wife in the catholic church where she went to school and attended for 18 yrs because I refused to convert...it didnt help I told the priest he was a hypocrite for lecturing me on sins and tattoos when I saw him smoking before sitting down with us...and asked if he considered bingo night at their church gambling.

I had no intentions of being married in that church but wanted to make the wife happy...thankfully she saw it the same way by the end of the counseling session to get married.

No way in hell was my children going to be raised catholic either...she gave up on trying to get me into that sect of religion and moved onto something else.

My apologies to any catholics on the board...I'm sure your fine with it and I'm ok with that...it just was not for me.

I attend a Roman Catholic church where I work and live. I get something out of it, but I supplement what I hear from a United Church of Christ based out of Seattle, Washington.

There's too much pageantry and guilt for me, but the deacon is nice. The sermon gets conducted in the native tongue for the area, so I rarely ever understand it unless the traveling visiting priest (he's not always here) leads the sermon in English.

They have me participate in reading scripture during the readings. I don't take communion. I don't think I could ever convert. I grew up Luther Church Missouri Synod, but I identify with the ELCA or United Church of Christ.
