you mean the guy that couldn't top double digit figures in the polls?

or even place a top 3 finish in any caucus?

you mean the guy who's state he is currently "running" is in an absolute state of trash?

the republicans in his own state don't even like him.

So if he had 8% support.. and 80% of that 8% follows him to Trump... then Trump's poll number goes up by 6.4%... that's pretty significant.

What it does, though, is completely remove the debate from the television talk circuit, and puts Trump's/Christie's destruction of Rubio front and center. Who will be talking about the debate at this point? Who will even remember it?

Trump is a master showman, which is encouraging when it comes to a potential Presidential election showdown against Clinton ..... but which just convinces me more and more that Trump is willing to say/do anything to be elected. The people who may wind up being most surprised might be the Republicans who vote for him ..... and not in a good way.

Man, I can only hope that Kasich wins Ohio, and at least one or 2 other northern state, to really jump start his campaign.

I think that after Super Tuesday, the big question will be...

Bernie who?

Maybe, maybe not. We'll see how Bernie does when the final count is done. Until then, you can watch from the Kasich sidelines.

Well, if it ends up being Trump vs Clinton, things could escalate quickly. I don't think anything is off the table when it comes to those two trying to get votes.

Hell, the debate could turn into a talent show...or a "who has a longer you know what" contest wink

Donald Trump supported by former KKK leader David Duke: 'I hope he does everything we hope he will do'

Donald Trump's been knighted by racist David Duke.

The former grand wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan told his bigoted followers that not voting for Trump would be “treason to your heritage” and implored them to volunteer for the billionaire candidate because they would find like-minded haters in the campaign.

“Voting for these people, voting against Donald Trump at this point, is really treason to your heritage,” the white nationalist said on the “David Duke Radio Program.”

"I’m not saying I endorse everything about Trump. In fact, I haven’t formally endorsed him. But I do support his candidacy, and I support voting for him as a strategic action. I hope he does everything we hope he will do,” Duke, who also served a three-year stint in the Louisiana state House, said Wednesday.

“And I am telling you that it is your job now to get active. Get off your duff. Get off your rear end that’s getting fatter and fatter for many of you everyday on your chairs,” Duke implored his racist listeners. “When this show’s over, go out, call the Republican Party, but call Donald Trump’s headquarters, volunteer.”

“They’re screaming for volunteers. Go in there, you’re going to meet people who are going to have the same kind of mindset that you have,” Duke said.

The Trump campaign did not respond to repeated requests for comment on the controversial backing and the mogul, an avid user of social media, was uncharacteristically silent on the issue on his Twitter account.

But civil rights groups immediately responded to Duke’s remarks, calling on Trump to disavow any connection to him and other hate groups.

“It is time for him to come out firmly against these bigoted views and the people that espouse them,” Anti-Defamation League National Chair Marvin Nathan and Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said in a statement.

Duke’s comments Wednesday, however, weren’t the first time the notorious white supremacist has publicly backed Trump.

In August, Duke praised the likely Republican nominee during another wide-ranging tirade on his radio program, calling the businessman a “good salesman" and "the best of the lot" of the large group of 2016 Republican presidential candidates.

"I praise the fact that he's come out on the immigration issue. I'm beginning to get the idea that he's a good salesman. That he's an entrepreneur and he has a good sense of what people want to hear, what they want to buy," Duke said in August. "He has really said some incredibly great things recently. So whatever his motivation, I don't give a damn. I really like the fact that he's speaking out on this greatest immediate threat to the American people."

Trump has attracted wide commendation from a slew of noted racists in recent months for his hateful rhetoric on everything from illegal immigrants from Mexico to American Muslims.

In December, Rocky Suhayda, the leader of the American Nazi Party, applauded the GOP presidential candidate’s plan to block Muslims from entering the U.S.

Also that month, Andrew Anglin, the 30-year-old publisher of the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer wrote “Heil Donald Trump — THE ULTIMATE SAVIOR,” in support of the Republican front-runner’s anti-Muslim plan.

At the end of the post Anglin doubled down with the words: “Make America White Again!”

A month earlier, a neo-Nazi criminal in South Carolina, August Kreis III, showed jurors a “Vote for Donald Trump” sign during his own trial, where he faced child molestation charges.

In addition, volunteers for the American National Super PAC, a white nationalist political group, bombarded voters in Iowa and in January with robocalls encouraging them to support Trump.

“I urge you to vote for Donald Trump because he is the one candidate who points out that we should accept immigrants who are good for America,” Jared Taylor, the founder of white supremacist publication “American Renaissance,” said on one such call. “We don’t need Muslims. We need smart, well-educated white people who will assimilate to our culture. Vote Trump.”

Trump was also endorsed in January by retired redneck MLB pitcher John Rocker, forever remembered for his homophobic and hate-filled anti-New York rant in Sports Illustrated in 1999.

Trump, however, has done little to quiet these increasingly loud voices of bigoted supporters of his campaign.

At times, he has even taken actions and made comments that embolden such groups.

In January, Trump retweeted a tweet to his 6.4 million followers from a user with the handle @WhiteGenocideTM. The tweet featured a photoshopped picture of a ragged-looking former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush holding a “vote for Trump” sign outside of Trump Tower.

The name attached to the profile was listed as Donald Trumpovitz, and the location of the user was “Jewmerica.” The account included several anti-Semitic images, quotes from Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels and tweets deriding Martin Luther King Jr.

A mother earlier, Trump tweeted wildly inaccurate crime statistics that vastly exaggerated how many people were killed last year by African-Americans.

The stats, cited to the non-existent “San Francisco Crime Statistics Bureau” have repeatedly appeared in recent months in message boards in white supremacy online communities.

In addition, in his announcement of his prejudiced proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S., Trump cited stats pulled from a debunked survey by a known Islamophobe.

In his statement announcing the proposal, Trump referred to a survey conducted by Frank Gaffney Jr. — a once-respectable Washington insider who is now “one of America’s most notorious Islamophobes,” according to the Southern Poverty Law Center — that found 25% of those polled “agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad” and 51% of those polled “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah.”

The online poll released in June, only surveyed 600 people who chose to opt-in, making it statistically meaningless.

Furthermore, after a Black Lives Matter protester was beaten at a Trump rally last fall, the mogul candidate indicated he agreed with the violent response of his supporters.

“Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing,” Trump said in November — a response that again garnered applause in racist corners of the Internet.

Much of Trump’s campaign, in no small part, has been based on the “mainstreaming of hate,” Heidi Beirich, the director of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Intelligence Project” told the Daily News in December.

In addition to his call to ban all Muslims from the U.S following the San Bernardino terror shootings in December, he also called for a database to register all Muslims in the U.S. after the ISIS-led Paris attacks in November.

And trumping it all were his outrageous comments in his campaign launch speech in which he called illegal immigrants from Mexico drug-pushers and “rapists.”

it would be, except that aren't the numbers. the party is still severely split. and he isn't gonna get the entire base of christie. remember, there are people in christie's camp who hate trump.

actually, every camp has that. every base.

especially because trump was gonna win regardless. this thing is over. Trump is your nominee.

those couple thousand he gets in votes isn't gonna matter in the general election, unfortunately for him. it's just to make sure he seals in the GOP bid.

The View's Raven-Symoné Vows to Leave US ‘If Any Republican Gets Nominated’ - Breitbart
http://www.breitbart.com/video/2016/02/2...gets-nominated/

Thursday on ABC’s “The View,” co-host Raven-Symonè declared she would leave the United States for Canada if a Republican is “nominated.”

Symonè said, “My confession for this election is if any Republican gets nominated, I’m gonna move to Canada with my entire family. Is that bad?”

When pressed she added, “I already have my ticket … No, I literally bought my ticket, I swear.”

Quote:

I will not vote for Donald Trump for President of the United States even if he is the Republican nominee.

He is an authoritarian blending nationalist and tribal impulses, which historically has never worked out well for the nation that goes in that direction or the people in that nation.

He will not win in November. He will not win because he turns off a large number of Republicans; he turns off women; he turns off hispanic voters; he turns off black voters; and the blue collar voters who support him are not a sufficient base of support to carry him over the finish line. His supporters who claim he carried hispanic voters in Nevada are deluding themselves. Nevada’s turnout of hispanic voters was less than one percent of Nevada’s hispanic population, amounting to around 100 people in the exit polling with a margin of error of at minimum ±10%.

Trump is a liberal who has supported big government, interventionist policies. He defends Planned Parenthood, says he can cut deals in Washington, and believes in a socialist government run healthcare scheme.

At a time when so much is on the line for people of faith and conservatives, Donald Trump believes judges sign bills. He said so himself in the Houston, TX debate, while lying about the jurisprudence of Justice Samuel Alito.

Trump is also a con-artist and the media, which has built his campaign is going to destroy his campaign. After he secures the Republican nomination, the media will trot out every victim and perceived victim of Trump’s actions. All the people hurt by repeated strategic bankruptcies, all the people swindled by Trump University, and anyone who got food poisoning from Trump steaks will be in a 24/7 cavalcade on national television.

By the time the media and Democrats, but I repeat myself, are done with Trump, he will be radioactive.

Donald Trump will not win in November. Period. End of story.

But, on the off chance Satan pulls a grand slam out of hell and Trump were to do it, he would be an authoritarian despot, deeply destructive to the ideals of this nation and the constitutional principles of the republic, and he would destroy the remains of the Republican Party and much of the conservative movement as conservatives whore themselves out to be close to power.

In fact, I dare say that as if Trump secures the nomination, some of the first people to come out and demand we all kiss his ring will be the people who immediately came out to attested to the credibility and competence of Harriet Miers. They will demand our fealty to a man who thinks judges sign bills.

It is absolutely important to disclose that we will not support Trump in the general election now. It shows that we are not sore losers whose nominee preference did not win, but rather are stating that if Trump does get the nomination, we will not support him and are making our declaration with enough time to stop him if his supporters listen to reason.

For those who say Trump can beat Hillary, it gives them time to decide if they can beat Hillary without us.

Explicitly stating our opposition, before he secures the nomination, will not stop people from saying we cost him the nomination. But in the historic record it will be clear we saw the rise of an authoritarian jackass, rejected him, and gave people ample time to heed the warnings before jumping off the cliff.

I will not vote for Donald Trump. Many people I know feel the same way. So as you go vote for Donald Trump, know you are casting your lot with a man who cannot beat the Democrats and who will lose support of long time Republicans in the process.

If Trump supporters choose to proceed, history will show what they will never concede — his defeat is on them, not us. With the rise of an authoritarian menace to our republic, it is important to go on record now, while he can be stopped, that we will play no part in his rise.

http://theresurgent.com/the-importance-of-disclosing-this-immediately/

I read that article and it is half truths. Trumps health plan is not what they say. He wants to open the system for nationwide healthcare where companies from all over the country can offer you a plan, not just a few companies from your area. The increase in competition alone will greatly lower prices and offer more choices in plans.

I could go on.

I know if it comes down to Trump/Hillary, I will take the chance of voting and being deceived than voting for the evil I surely know in Hillary.

As we learned from Romney/Obama, staying home is a vote for the other guy.

Think hard.

I'm still hoping Kasich makes it an unnecessary choice.

Here's why you need to take all these articles with a grain of salt...

A Left leaning publisher put out this story and people believe it...

I am not sure that is written in the correct context. I don't mean to get picky, but he has had 4 businesses file bankruptcy, not "his business" filed bankruptcy 4 times.
Significantly different meaning. He has had a long list of businesses (I have read over a hundred, but don't know for sure and don't really care). I certainly don't support the guy, but I trust his business judgment much more than I do the government, especially the federal government.

He has plenty to not like but his business judgment is not one of them.
