ban = http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/bansynonyms. restriction, limitation, stoppage, suppression, off-limits all words the same as ban. so it doesn't matter the word play you decided to engage it, at the end of the day, he wants a ban on ALL muslims entering the country. it doesn't matter if it's temporary. it doesn't matter if it's for 12 hours or 12 years. it's illegal, and unconstitutional. so i didn't lie. you just don't like that i do not support your dumbass candidate. also, islam isn't a race, it's a religion. please go back to school.

Educate yourself already. In fact, the Legal Information Institute at Cornell cites this provision of federal law: Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.” http://www.wnd.com/2015/12/experts-trump-muslim-ban-likely-constitutional/

funny, here's a constitutional law expert from harvard: "I believe Trump's unprecedented proposal would violate our Constitution," said Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe. "Both the First Amendment's Religion Clauses and the equality dimension of the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment." PlayWill Trump's comments on Muslims help or hurt his campaign? Facebook Twitter Google Plus Embed Will Trump's comments on Muslims help or hurt his campaign? 3:45 Tribe, a constitutional law expert, said Trump's proposal also conflicts with the Constitution's general prohibition on religious tests outside of the immigration context. "It would also conflict with the spirit of the No Religious Test Clause of Article VI," Tribe told MSNBC Monday evening. http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-ele...muslims-n476041which also was a guy from your very article. so basically, the only way Trump can do it is if he repeals parts of the amendments. good luck with that.

anywho, John Kasich guarantees brokered GOP convention http://www.cbsnews.com/news/john-kasich-guarantees-brokered-gop-convention/Ohio Gov. John Kasich has a message for everyone who's worrying that Donald Trump is close to securing the 1,237 delegates he needs to win Republican nomination outright: it's not going to happen, for him nor any other candidate. "Nobody's going to have the delegates they need going to the convention," he said. "Everyone will fall short." He said said once the delegates arrive in Cleveland, they'll focus on which candidate has the best chance of winning in November. Play VIDEO Kasich: “Everyone will fall short” heading into GOP convention "We will go into Cleveland with momentum and then the delegates are going to consider two things: Number one, who can win in the fall--and I'm the only one that can, that's what the polls indicate," he said. "And number two, a really crazy consideration, like who could actually be president of the United States." At the convention itself, Kasich noted that the candidate who goes in with the most delegates hasn't historically been the one to get the nomination most of the time. "If you go in way ahead you're likely to be picked, but what's interesting is in the 10 contested Republican conventions, did you know that the leader going in only got picked three times?" he asked. As for the candidates who have suggested the Ohio governor should get out of the race to avoid playing spoiler -- namely, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz -- Kasich responded: why don't those candidates drop out instead? "Nobody is calling me directly and asking me to drop out," he said on CBS' "Face the Nation." "Wait a minute--why don't they drop out? I'm the one who can win in the fall." He said Cruz needs 80 percent of the remaining delegates in order to get to 1,237, which he said is "not going to happen," and noted establishment figures have been pushing him to step aside for a while now. Play VIDEO Kasich spurns “Stop Trump” forces: They want me out too "You know what's interesting? Some of those very same people wanted me to get out of the race and they wanted to get behind Rubio," he said. "What happened? Rubio's out, I'm in. Now they want me to get out? Listen, these are the same establishment people that have been fighting me my entire political career." Kasich also took a veiled shot at Cruz's experience, referring to Republicans' frustration with President Obama as a first-term senator without much experience back in 2008. (Cruz, a first-term senator, was elected in 2012.) "This party has run around for seven years saying how is it that we elected a one-term United States Senator to be president who's never had the experience," he said. "Whatever happened to that?" The Ohio governor called GOP front-runner Donald Trump's suggestion that there would be riots if he doesn't get the nomination "outrageous," condemning the violence Trump has seemingly incited at his rallies across the country. "When he says that there could be riots, that's inappropriate," Kasich said. "I think you understand that, okay? Secondly, while we have our differences and disagreements, we're Americans. Americans don't say, 'Let's take to the streets and have violence.'" Kasich also said in the interview that Senate Republicans should meet with Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland, though he later clarified that he was only making "an effort to be polite."

the law is right here: https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1182from your own article, btw. here's trump on video: http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/video...ng-the-us-videoso a couple points: i didn't hear the word "immigration". i did hear "total and complete shutdown on muslims", though. so you wanna talk about half truths? straight from the horses mouth homeboy. try spinning your way out of that one. also, with the law? how is he gonna keep us citizens from entering the country? also, how would he stop people from simply lying about being a muslim? your boy has more holes in his ideology than somebody about to face a firing squad.

Reading what was posted from the Harvard expert, it would seem that we could apply religion as a determining factor, at least in part. It would not be a permanent ban, but rather a slow down in the process, in order to ensure that proper guidelines and safeguards are in place.
Given the role of radical Islam in terrorism throughout the world today, certain safeguards for Muslims trying to enter the country from countries that are deeply involved in Islamic terrorism would seem sensible to me. Do you see this position as incorrect?

Did you happen to hear the rest of the statement? Or doesn't that fit your agenda? "total shutdown on muslims UNTIL our representatives can figure out what is going on." That's the whole statement. Sorry, you can't just pick and choose certain words to respond to.

And see YTown, I agree with keeping radical Islam out of our country is a good thing. I actually agree with what Trump says about it in principal.
But there is another part of the Constitution that guarantees religious freedom. That's why I'm confused whether you can choose to have a ban on "all Muslims". That's creating a ban on over a billion people based solely on their religion.
So I do find it rather confusing to say the least.

yes it is incorrect.
that's like putting a ban on christians because some dumbass christians in africa decided to kill homosexuals.
which is a real thing, btw.
i see you're trying to use clever word play, but the reality is that trump said ban on ALL muslims.
it's not a slow down process, it's a ban, temporary or not.
please don't complain about politicians in one thread, and then word play and spin like one in another.
so answer the question i have 40, since he disappeared when i called him out.
what about the muslims that are us citizens. are they not allowed in the country anymore, either?

If the Pope declared Jihad on America, radicalized a bunch or Catholics and sent them to blow us up, I would have zero problem with the President stopping all Catholic immigration temporarily until we could figure out who was who.
That law gives the President the right to do just that. "Any alien" covers "Any", regardless of skin color, religion, finances, height, weight, language.....
It is about protecting America and her People, not a PC statement on race or religion.

why does everything have to be about not being PC?
why is that default fall back card?
why can't it just be a bad opinion?
and i would absolutely be against banning catholics, or any religion for that matter.
that's simply ridiculous 40. also, stop using immigration. thats not what Trump said. at all. video evidence homeboy.
a ban on catholics or any religion is out of the question. we are suppose to learn from history, not keep repeating it.

also, are we at war with Islam? or are we are war with Terrorism?
you see, i'm starting to notice that you guys can't even distinguish between the two.
hell, you specifically 40, and others talk about muslims like they're a race. you can't even get THAT correct, yet we're suppose to take into consideration what you say?
so you want to ban an entire religion based off....what was the percentage? less than 1% of the muslim population has engaged in terrorist activity?
and you say you would support banning catholics? because of yet another less than 1% of your hypothetical?
i guess you throw all of them who are already here into camps again, too, huh?

Are you daft or what? -If they are American citizens, they come and go like the rest of us. It is their Right under the Constitution. -If they are not citizens, and they are law abiding, they stay till their visas run out, then they fall under that law I posted. -If they are found to be a threat, they must go now. The FBI will take care of that. If they leave the Country, they can not come back ever. -If Muslim American Citizens are found to be radicalizing others, the FBI will arrest them and they get a trial, just like the rest of us.

Oh I know, but it is still going to be fun to watch. Trump will throw a tantrum and who knows what his followers will do. Then he will run third party.
AND none of the establishment wants him or Cruz as the nominee, so a brokered convention will be crazy interesting. The slow death throes of the GOP in action and we are seeing them in real time.

If they end up in a brokered convention and the majority of delegates owner isn't given the nomination, I do wonder how many people will suddenly be on ballots as Independents around the country.

Donald Trump's sister, like son, receives threatening letter PHILADELPHIA – A threatening letter has been sent to Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump's sister, who's a judge in Philadelphia. The letter was sent to Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, who sits on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. The FBI said Sunday it's "aware of the incident and is working closely with the United States Secret Service and U.S. Marshals Service." It says no further details are available. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/03/...ml?intcmp=hpbt1Murica?

Nah, I'm dumb. How I've managed to be self employed for the last 13 years I have no idea. I have no clue as to business dealings, economics, etc. I'm just a guy that works. Works for himself, and that makes people envious and assume I'm rich. I'm dumb because I get no paid holidays, nor do I get any paid vacation, or sick days.
I'm dumb because I didn't go into a job that, after 30 years, I'd be retired, living off the ponzi scheme of others paying for me.
I'm dumb because I bought into making it on my own.
I'm dumb because I know I'll work til the day I die. I'm dumb. I should've gone into something that, if I got hurt, I'd get full benefits. I'm dumb for wanting to keep as much of my money as I can, ignoring the needs of those that don't work.
Yup, I'm dumb. I don't understand business. I don't understand taxes. I don't understand anything. But I beat the hell out of my competition, which is good, because I have no one else looking out for me.
