For as breathtaking as Kyrie is, I think the Cavs beat GS with Chris Paul. He'd be the perfect PG for this team.

Who do you guys want in the first round? Detroit or Indiana? I feel like we'd beat the both of them comfortably. We'd sweep Indiana and beat Detroit in 5. Indiana isn't the team that's traditionally given us problems. They play fast which favors us greatly. Playoff mode Lebron will crap on Paul George.

The only concern with Detroit is Drummond.

Drummond and Jackson would pick and roll the Cavs to death. With that said, they would still only win one game at best.

I'd take Indiana. It seems like they are having issues.

Jackson can't defend and in crunch time Drummond is getting sent to the FT line. However, Indiana is easier.

I agree. Just saying that is a worse matchup. Like I said, the Pistons would probably win won game just because SVG is miles ahead of Lue/LeBron.

I think if the Spurs want to beat Golden State, Parker needs to stop sucking.

I don't know if this is true, but I think it was lead who said that there were rumors of a Kyrie/CP3 trade. Not sure of when that rumor occurred? Maybe someone can speak more to it.

candy, you said that CP3 needs the ball, too. Well, all PGs need the ball. LOL......but anyway, his scoring numbers were down w/Blake. His assist numbers were up. Blake goes out and CP3 starts scoring more. He gives the team what they need. Furthermore, he is a very good defensive PG. Kyrie is perhaps the worst in the entire league.

I would make that trade in a heartbeat.

I'd rather play Detroit. Indiana is tougher mentally. Drummond is going to be a liability in the playoffs because he can't make free throws. He was something like 1 for 11 the other night against the Bulls. He was benched in the 4th because of that reason.

It was me, there were alot of rumor starting around january about it. Given the lebron connection and he getting older and wanting to play for championship, i think if they get bounced this year that might be a reality. I think that team will get blown up.

And you're right about him needing the ball.. I think thats a silly argument, all PG's need the ball, what they do with it determines what kind of player they are. Kyrie is a great individual player who shines at places like olympics and all star games but hasn't ever played as a team first guy. Had he played 2-3 years at duke i think we'd have a different guy. But CP3 is a guy I think, maybe even the only PG, that lebron would defer to and have him run the offense. He handles it really well, can drive and kick and play defense..that all we really need. Love has proven you make him option 1a or 1b and he's going to be much more confident and give you those good minnesota type numbers. Loves defense when his offense is going i think is serviceable. He atleast has the want to, I've never seen a lazier player on defense than Kyrie. Whats sad is during spurts he's shown he can be effective as a defender, but he does it far too sporadically. So if i had to pick between kyrie and love I take love everyday. But then again, i could really see both being traded for CP3 and Melo and lebron and wade taking cheap deals to play here..lol, wouldn't that be crazy

It's about how Steph Curry went to Under Armour and is now taking a huge market share from Nike. The big sub-plot here is that Lebron is Nike's guy, and to a lesser extent, Kyrie was supposed to be the heir apparent.

Looks like Lue's sit down with LeBron might've actually worked too.

Lebron has sort of gone into an "eff you" mode a bit. I hope it's because he's just more focused and driven and realized that he needs to set the tone for the rest of the team ... and not because he wants to stick it in the face of his coach and teammates and then burn himself out before the playoffs finish.

Like I said before, I think Lebron realizes that you can't go 110% for 82 straight games and then for 16-28 more playoff games. Your body just can't take that. He plays in chill-mode for as long as he can, and then tries to flip the switch in the playoffs. I think he expects his teammates to bust their own butts and win games while he saves himself for the last part of the marathon. It just rubs people the wrong way when he tells other people to hustle, when he's going 50% himself.

It looks like he's finally flipped that switch. I just hope it lasts through June.

Golden State has to win out now. Want to see what San Antonio does at home.

Cavs are playing really well and GS is showing signs of mortality. And if LeBron is playing like he is, you always have a chance, even against a Goliath. If the Cavs could convince Irving to come off the bench in the playoffs I might actually consider the Cavs the favorites.

Of course, GS could just be getting bored with the regular season and are ready to flip the switch when the playoffs hit like the '96 Bulls. But they aren't really old enough and experienced enough mentally for that, IMO. Some doubt definitely has to be creeping into their heads. Confidence is one of their key ingredients. Will be interesting to see how their road to the Finals goes. If they steamroll their way, it could be tough. If they struggle a little bit, I think the Cavs will have a shot.

That locks up home court advantage, I think, which could be huge. Cavs have looked tough lately, much better than earlier in the season IMO. Hope we peak (some more) and the timing is right. Seems we are working defense harder, at least in spurts.

However the other teams have had great regular seasons an not won the title.. Hell the 08-09 Cavs waltzed through the regular season AND the first two rounds of the playoffs..

Sometimes I feel like getting their too easy makes it that much more difficult when you hit a rough stretch. Because youre not used to it..
