Pryor is a big bodied WR. Deep threat, red zone.. If he ever actually becomes a good WR.

Miller I'd put in the slot. He's more "shifty", lateral movements, etc

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Pryor is an outside Receiver, Braxton would be in the slot.

Braxton could return punts/kicks while developing as a receiver.

Never use a draft pick on a kicker. I want to see how Coons develops. He's young. Accuracy was good. Tabor says his leg is plenty strong. Blocks are a result of the whole group more than just him. See if he can fix that this season.

We certainly do have multiple needs. No question of that. Thanks guys for the response on Miller/Pryor...

I think a kicker who can reliably hit from long distance is very important, especially for a team that doesn't score a lot of touchdowns. The 3rd may be too early, but certainly by the first comp pick (4th), if he is there, would be a very good pick.

Philosophically I'm a BPA guy too. Imo though there are caveats that BPA detractors don't acknowledge exist. BPA doesn't happen in a 1 year draft only vacuum. BPA applies not only to the draft but to your own team and to how your team will look going forward 1-2-3 years.

So the BPA in draft has to also be the BPA at that position on your team.

The BPA in the draft should also be the BPA at that position on your team.

E.g. If the BPA is a RB when the Vikings pick they have to ask themselves if RB X is better then Adrian Peterson or if RB X will be better then Adrian Peterson will before RB X contract is over.
If the answer is no RB X isn't(won't) better then Adrian Peterson then RB X is not the BPA for the Vikings.

Does that clears it up some?

Dak Prescott , do you think that will solve our Francise QB problem? I thought D+ was a little high.

I look for us to select MANY players to add to our front 7 ... which is also the strength of this draft

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Is this directed at me?

I have no idea if Prescott or any QB for that matter will solve "your Franchise QB problem". However; I think Prescott is a good QB prospect to develop and is good value to draft in the 4th round.

I'm glad you like my draft, lets me know I'm doing it right.

Fanspeak; NFL big board; 1 trade with Dallas; 1-4, 2-3, and 4-3 for #2.

4: R1P4 DE DEFOREST BUCKNER OREGON
32: R2P1 QB PAXTON LYNCH MEMPHIS
34: R2P3 OLB JAYLON SMITH NOTRE DAME

173: R5P34 WR NELSON SPRUCE COLORADO
176: R6P1 DT ANTHONY ZETTEL PENN ST.
223: R7P2 OT BRANDON SHELL SOUTH CAROLINA

I tried to balance offensive and defensive needs. I took some risks, Smith and Redmond are both coming off knee injuries, but both, if they regain full value, are steals at those spots. Boerhinger is really an unknown, but an intriguing one.

thanks for posting. I wouldn't be too upset with that. I sufficiently emotionally braced for the Wentz pick. I'd be shocked if Coleman made it to 32 but wouldn't complain about it. Could do worse at pass rusher than Calhoun and Wallace. Murphy's pretty good, think he's a better zone fit than power though. Haven't seen Byard play.

What's wrong. This is the mock draft forum right? I don't know crap about big boards and all that stuff so I'm trying to learn by using some of this draft sites. Can't quite figure out how during one draft a player is an A+ and the same player at a lower draft position is like a C-.

Still trying to get into this so I can speak more on some of the picks. BTW doing this draft thing has helped me at least learn about other players who are not Buckeyes or Carson Wentz tsktsk It's kind of cool to look these guys up and read a little about them. Of course that just makes me smart enough to really FUBAR stuff.

You're doing fine man. You're participating and learning. Posting your results is the best way to get reactions from others. Like you said, it is a Mock Thread. You're spot on topic. Much better than the bickering that fills so many threads. Keep on keeping on.

Thanks DDubia. Yeah, the bickering was just about getting to the point of me leaving. I hate confrontation, a good discussion with mutual respect is one thing, but I'm 52 years old and name calling and cat fighting went out a long time ago. Now I would rather drink a beer and chill!

Yeah, I thought I killed this draft with my lost grade a B-; however, First Pick obviously thinks getting all the draft picks, picking solid players at key positions not to mention BPA in most cases at least according to the NFL.com grade, but nope they think it's worth on a C+. UGH. I hope the Browns do better than me.

Your score is: 8196 (GRADE: C+)

2016 1st round mock draft for postarity: Caution! the following is QB diluted.

1. Rams - QB Jared Goff
2. Eagles - QB Carson Wents
3. Chargers - OT Laremy Tunsil
4. Cowboys - FS Jalen Ramsey
5. Jaguars - LB Myles Jack
6. Ravens - DE / OLB Joey Bosa
7. 49er's - DL DeForest Buckner
8. Browns - OT Jack Conklin
9. Bucs - CB Vernon Hargreaves
10. Giants - OT Ronnie Stanley
11. Bears - QB Paxton Lynch
12. Saints - DL Sheldon Rankins
13. Dolphins - RB Ezekiel Elliot
14. Raiders - LB Darron Lee
15. Titans - OT Jason Spriggs
16. Lions - WR Josh Doctson
17. Falcons - LB Reggie Ragland
18. Colts - OT Tyler Decker
19. Bills - DE / OLB Shaq Lawson
20. Jets - QB Connor Cook
21. Redskins - DL A'Shawn Robinson
22. Texans - WR Corey Coleman
23. Vikings - WR Laquon Treadwell
24. Bengals - CB Eli Apple
25. Steelers - CB William Jackson
26. Seahawks - DE Kevin Dodd
27. Packers - DL Vernon Butler
28. Cheifs - CB Mackensie Alexander
29. Cardinals - OG Cody Whitehair
30. Panthers - CB Artie Burns
31. Broncos - DL Jarren Reed

For our pick I would go with Conklin over Stanley, because he is the safest pick in the Draft ... imo and I think that he will start out of the gate too. He is a better run blocker as well.

If Conklin's there at 8, we may get a call from Tennesee.

Hell if SD passes on Tunsil, he may drop all the way to 8..

I may even take him at 8.

Or sell him off as well. Move down around 15, get some more picks this and next year, and then draft either Doctson or Treadwell.

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Every individual grade is a B- or above, and the final overall is C+. My students would kill me if I did that.
