One Party?

Now look up the less slanted truth, many Blue Collar folks are flocking to him also. He is the only candidate that crosses all Parties. R D and I.

First of all, learn to spell. Blatant hate? Where does that come from? I don't want illegals here either. They're illegal. I see a guy that pushes back when he gets pushed. I see a guy that has said what he means and doesn't back down when the libs get in an uproar. I'm very tired of the demands for apologies when someone disagrees with libs.

I made valid points all through what I typed. I never once voiced support for him, but I think he's the eventual winner. Just curious, which bloated windbag are you voting for, and why?

Seems Clem and Pit need to follow the same advice they give on Trump. Stop running down one candidate and tell us what is good about the candidate they support.

I have made it obvious many times that I think both candidates are equally offensive. It's like puke and puke lite. They are actually very similar and there is no conservative in this race.

And maybe I should clarify. I meant he shows total disregard and angst towards anyone who crosses his path. Not rational debate, but school yard insults. Little Marco, Lyin' Ted. How the GOP is out to get him. How the process isn't fair. Did he not know the rules going into this campaign? He just seems to be a whiner and a bully all rolled into one. It's disgusting.

He has said nothing but one liners without any substance. Now Hillary? I wouldn't trust her any further than I could throw her.

At least I'm willing to admit that there isn't anyone out there worth voting for.

I wish you would, as I originally requested. Don't sell me short on being able to process a decent, well-presented argument. Just because I have strong opinions doesn't mean that my mind is closed.

I outlined a handful of reasons why I didn't think he was POTUS material. In your rebuttal, all you've done is make a bullet list of excuses, rationales, and "he said/(s)he said" comparisons for each of my observations- without offering even one single piece of evidence to support his legitimacy. That's exactly the 'weak tea' I was talking about... and now you've done it for a second time. In other words: a pretty lousy sales pitch.

"I won't even try to sell you my product; instead, let's talk about how lousy the competitor's product is..."

Present it like you mean it.
Leave other candidates out of it... this thread is about Donald Trump.

If he's your candidate of choice, explain why. This is your golden opportunity to sell him to not just me, but the entire message board.

Isn't that exactly what you are doing when it comes to Trump?

I'm not sold on a single one of them, whether they have a fighting chance at the nomination or not.

But that's neither here nor there. The thread isn't about other candidates. The thread is about Donald Trump. He either stands or falls on his own merits. You wanna know about my thoughts on the other candidates? Start a thread. I'll throw shade on them, as well. I'm an "equal opportunity disdainer."

nope.

I wasn't running him down in an effort to pump someone else up.

Re-read my posts. I've mentioned on one else in any of them.

So... no. It isn't exactly the same. In fact, it's not the same at all. In any way.

If you haven't noticed yet, I will be voting for the lesser of two evils again. I suspect most will. I already know what we will get with hillary, and I'm pretty sure what we would get from bernie. I like neither. At least trump is unknown in what he will do, but if he secures the borders and stops the lousy trade deals, I think we'll be better off.

The sad thing is, he can't do that. It's up to congress to do that.

He may try, and kudos for the effort.

What he has going for him is the " I don't give a damn" attitude.

What Hillary is, well, is, "I'll sell my soul and the country if I get enough money to do it. I'll sell you out, as long as I can cash in."

And head to head, Hillary still beats him. Bernie still beats him.

Had only 2-3 people been in the Republican race it would have been no contest against Trump.

Well here is further evidence...

Quote by Old Cold Dog in the other thread...

"Well I have news for everybody here, as of today it's Trump vs. Hillary and he just tied her in the polls. If the trends that Bernie showed are anything to go by, closing 50+ points nationally on her, then we better get used to President Trump rolling off our tongues."

Do the words "head to head" mean anything to you? What OCD was talking about was out of the Republican party only %50 supported Trump. That's what was released in that poll.

https://www.scribd.com/doc/310414560/NBC...7xPADves03Hteeq

That's the link to the poll and what do we have here?

Hillary is still polling better than Donald Trump head to head. This week it's 44% of the vote going to Hillary with only 36% going to Donald in the head to head match up.

40, you wouldn't know a fact if it hit you in the face.

Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, has 46 percent compared to Trump's 43 percent
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/pres...rump-nationally

Aren't the 3 points within the margin of error for that poll?

The other 11% probably told the pollsters to stick it and quit calling their cell phones.

3 wives. So? Is it better to stay together in a marriage that isn't working, or to move on? (see bill and hillary) My wife and I have been married for 19 years. She's my only wife, and I'm her 2nd husband. Should I not have married her for having a failed marriage before?

4 bankruptcies. Again, so? Did he do something illegal in these filings? He has around 500 successful businesses that are employing a lot of people. He followed the laws to declare bankruptcy on the businesses that didn't work out. It's better than embezzling money from real estate ventures.

Inflammatory campaign rhetoric. And the candidate who never used inflammatory rhetoric is holding what office right now? Your local high school's SCA maybe? His opponents don't have handlers or washington insiders?

Mccain isn't a war hero. Made up again. What I heard is that just because you got tossed in a POW camp, it doesn't make you a war hero. McCain was, but he has since sullied his reputation with ABScam and other fiascoes.

Childish name calling. Really? I seem to remember obama joking john mccain for not being able to use a computer. He can't type because his arms were broken several times in the POW camp, so he doesn't use a computer. They all do it, they have all always done it. You are using selective hearing.

Mocking handicapped. See above about obama. "Stand up, Chuck" is another one of my favorites. Also, as I recall, the mocking incident you reference is made up by the liberal media.

Petty late night tweets. At least he answers his phone at 3am, instead of sneaking off to a fund raiser. Where was hillary at 3am?

That list you make is shared by all of them. Quite honestly, I'm not a fan of any of them. When I see the true constitutional conservative, I'll let you know.

But no, you won't try to sell him to anyone...LOL

3 marriages means he's just not capable of making sound decisions., Once is one thing, 3 times,,, that's a horse of a different color.

I don't think he broke any bankruptcy laws, but he ruined thousands of lives and destroyed many small businesses in the process. Where is the character in that?

He is childish and a bully. there isn't much of an argument you can make there. All the baby type name calling stuff.. What a freakin idiot..

Vote for him or don't.. that's a call you and others have to make.

Actually, 3 wives tells me he's impulsive in his choice of women. On the flip side of that, he still has good relations with the prior two wives and children from those marriages. His choices in business tells me he does make good decisions, as he's worth $10 billion.

Would you keep a business open when it's failing to the detriment of everyone around you, just to keep people employed? I've worked for two companies that sold to a conglomerate when the owner thought it was the best deal for him and his family, and watched the companies go downhill after he sold. Should I hold it against the former owner forever?

Childish and a bully? Do you pay attention to any of the other politicians out there? They all do it. Trump is more transparent when he does it. He says what he's thinking instead of euphemizing an insult to make it sound nice. He's just more brash in his insults than the others, who are so PC it's disgusting.

Give each ex 25 Million a Month for life and a house and that would make them not want to be angry with you.. Guaranteed

The reasons he's given for his Bankruptcy filings are weak at best. Greed. He had the money to save his various business from failing, but he chose not to use it. Not unwise really. But he got himself in these messes, something I think he'll do to the US economy. Shows me that his ego will get in the way.

I do pay attention to the other candidates and they are all petty bullies and as childish as can be. Every single one of them. But we were discussing Trump. So that's what I stuck with for this discussion.

then Bill Clinton should go down as one of the worst President's in history. At least Donald's women kept getting younger and better looking.

Quote:

He has destroyed a small percentage of the lives and small business that have been ruined by NAFTA and our other international trade agreements that Hillary absolutely loves and thinks are wonderful. If lives and small businesses were destroyed by Trump, at least he did it TRYING to build something... the other politicians have destroyed far more for no other reason than their own international legacy.

Quote:
He is childish and a bully. there isn't much of an argument you can make there. All the baby type name calling stuff.. What a freakin idiot..

He is those things... Hillary is far scarier, she is all of those things too only she is much more polished about it.

See, the way I see it... Donald will call you names, challenge you to a debate and then just shout over you and not let you talk and then challenge you to a duel.... Hillary will tell you how much she likes you and respects you and then stab you in the back in a dark alley when you never see it coming. Given those two, less than favorable options, I'll take the first one.

It will be fun to watch if Trump wins, the democrats in congress will morph into what the republican congress has been for 7 years.... and democrats far and wide will applaud them for it...

I'm sure you realize that I wasn't using "fun" to mean the same thing as looking at Carrie Underwood in a short skirt kind of "fun"..

More ironic watching hypocrisy spring up all over the place.. then denying your own hypocrisy while pointing the finger at everybody elses..

As much as the notion of Trump as President scares me, and I mean a literal induced fear, it is actually preferable to how I feel about the idea of ANY of the other candidates being elected.

The Status is NOT Quo.
Things need to change, and a guy who isn't part of the system that created what needs to be fixed is the only one that stands a chance of fixing it.

Cute piece of self-directed cherry-picking.

There is ample evidence as to why not only me, but millions of other Americans feel as they do. 7 years of headlines from CapHill have provided it.

We both know what I'm talking about.

Nothing cute about doubling of the Debt by Obama and I think most of those millions of Americans you speak of feel the way they do because the Republican Congress didn't shut him down completely. They failed to place common sense bills on his desk to veto and show the people that he was the real enemy.

Clem, remember not all that long ago when candidates used to brag about their effectiveness in working across the aisle? They would tout bills they co-authored with people from the other party, etc?

Now that is strictly forbidden and makes you a sell-out as a politician and makes you almost unelectable... If you work with the other side at all to get stuff done, you aren't a statesman, YOU ARE WEAK!!!

And that is the single biggest problem in Washington.. and I don't see either Hillary or Donald making that problem any better.
