Hillary favors the monetary policy that Koch backs. I'm not surprised.

This quarter's earnings season trend—layoffs

Layoffs and restructuring are starting to look like the trends of this earnings season.

Halliburton originally scheduled its earnings call for Monday morning, but announced on Friday that it will delay the report to May 3. This past quarter, the company paid $2.1 billion in restructuring costs, partly attributable to severance costs. Halliburton laid off 6,000 people during the quarter.

Intel announced last week that it would cut 12,000 jobs or about 11 percent of its workforce by 2017.

Norfolk Southern also announced last week that it would be reducing operations in Knoxville, Tennessee, due to lower traffic volumes. The rail operator said its plans would impact 135 jobs.

Earlier in April, Alcoa also announced that it cut 600 jobs in the first quarter and plans to cut an additional 400 jobs this year.

Schlumberger cut 8,000 employees in the first quarter, but also converted about 5,500 contractors to employees for a net loss of roughly 2,500 jobs.

The economic trend doesn't look good from my financial advisor. Last week he called to move some of my funds around because there is a prediction of a minor recession within/during the next couple years.

So now we get to vote for which president we will blame the recession on.

She's literally a neoliberal. Once Kasich drops out, Hillary will be the only Republican in the race.

The presidential primary polls open here in Connecticut at 6 am EST today. 28 republican delegates up for grab.

This will be my tenth presidential primary vote (seems like a lot more) I'm a staunch republican.

I usually get to the state’s busiest polling site a couple hours early to scalp my vote.

I'm sure not "feeling the Bern", but I felt bad for the guy as I watched Georgie Stephanopolous eviscerate him on GMA this morning. So nasty and disrespectful. It's plainly obvious he's got his head up Hillary's skirt, and he shouldn't be allowed to conduct that interview. It reminded me of the hogs on "The View" tearing apart John McCain and his wife a few years ago.

Yeah, I saw that too.

I always thought Stephanopolous was greasy so I take whatever he says with a grain of a salt molecule.

Stephanopolous quote:

"The President has kept all of the promises he intended to keep."

Classic doubletalk. Translation - the President's a liar.

I am never surprised by what the Left does.

Didn't Cruz lay down in the NE so Kasich could stomp Trump?

If I ever get a chance I will lay down a stomping on Kasich ten times greater than that. He is a cheap imitation of a human being. He makes Hillary look like a Saint.

Clinton wins MD & DE. I am sure she will win PA too.

With all due respect to Bernie I think he should do the honorable thing tonight and bid farewell. For his camp to endorse Hillary will look kinda odd given the criticism he has heaped on her however, in the best interest of the party AND to defeat Trump or Cruz he needs to do endorse her and actively tell the Bernie or Bust folks to do the same. OldColdDawg...I know you are not happy but, choosing not to vote shouldn't be an option. We (the party and all the sane folks in America) need an old cold dawg with us! Come on, buddy!

Bernie needs to hold out a little longer until she gives him the VP nod so he can spend the rest of his career attending state funerals and fund raisers for local mayoral candidates.

I also think after railing against the system and superdelegates etc. it comes across very odd and disingenuous for "Bernie or Bust" folks to say they now hope for a contested Dem convention and are hoping superdelegates can win it for them.
