That's more than we get from most of our draft picks, so how can it be a bad gamble? That's more than what most teams get out of their draft picks, not just us.

Ravens Team Needs: Left Guard, DE, OLB, Corner, Tackle.
I was certain they were taking Buckner when they were on the clock. I don't think Stanley is a bad pick, I'm just glad that they took him over Buckner.

Issue is a lot of teams believe he will need micro surgery before he will be able to play. Those teams see him as the same risk if not bigger risk than Jaylon Smith. I could see both falling to the 4th, unless a doc gives the goahead

Yeah I think the rest of the division had about as bad of a draft as possible, just like last year. How did the Rats have a bad night last night? ..... What's wrong with their pick? They were picking at 6, so they were going to get a good player. LT was far from the biggest need on their team, and it kept the elite defenders and wide receivers off of their team. They couldn't have picked a bad player, but I don't think they improved much. They could cut Monroe and get some much needed cap relief.

Not all of them are.
"and we may end up with two thirds, a couple of fourths" From the same article... "By suggesting the Browns could end up with extra third- and fourth-round picks, DePodesta may be indicating that the Browns are open for business with tonight’s first pick. Cleveland might trade down in the second round tonight and pick up a third-round pick next year. The Browns are also in line for compensatory picks next year." [fourth round] It might also meen he's counting the compensatory picks for our lost FA's this year.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

Not sure I could agree with U less ... He was there starting LT the second they handed the card to Goodel ... Barring injury they just locked up what IMO is the 2nd most important position on a football team for the next 10 - 15 years .... His downside is top 10 in the league with an unlimited upside ... Joe Flacco got the best nights sleep he's had in a long long time .... ... They got themselves one hell of a LT and a smart, hard working kid with his head screwed on straight ... THAT SUKCS FOR US!!!!!

I read up on Jack and love his ability, but that dang injury and the thought he may need more surgery makes me want to pass. Hey, if he's there in the 7th,, hell yeah, why not.
I think they'll go with the best OT left. I'd have no objection to that. At this stage, the way I view his knee is that he can step in and play right away..... but, if the knee flares in a two or three years, big deal, we got 2-3 years of great play at a position of need. That's more than we get from most of our draft picks, so how can it be a bad gamble? Well, under that situation, I'd say the same as you. But I was, perhaps mistakenly, under the belief that this surgery was almost right around the corner. Like as in less than a year. If I'm wrong about that, and your statement is correct that it's 3 or 4 years out, then that changes my thinking

They were saying BEFORE his 2nd contract and that was thinking of him as a First Rounder with what? a 5 year Contract?
Hey it could be next year or it could never come in his career? There are no positives. The body is an amazing thing. It actually heals and things tend to go back to where they properly go!
